 Can you believe this is the last day of June?! Half way through the year y'all! Time, please slow down! The only good thing about the end of June is that it brings the 4th of July- whoop whoop! Today I'm sharing another, more casual, look to celebrate America's birthday. So if you have a backyard bbq, or lake day planned then this is a great look for you! I plan on wearing it for my travel tomorrow (to see where I'm headed, keep up with me on Insta or Snap @girlmeetsbow).

Unboxing my "Must Have" Box

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love receiving presents! Unfortunately, it can't be my birthday everyday, so sometimes a girl has to send herself something festive in the mail; enter, the Popsugar Must Have Box! Each month you'll receive a surprise box of goodies - full size, not trial- delivered right to your door. Then, the fun begins! You get to see what treasures are in your Must Have Box :) You goodies can range from home to beauty to accessories- a little bit of everything! Most definitely a #MustHaveBox worth checking out!

Fun & Festive for the Fourth

Chambray Off the Shoulder Dress // Crystal Drop Necklace (almost exact) // Sole Society Sandals (similar & on sale!) // Apple Watch // Lilly Pulitzer Clutch (similar)

With the 4th of July right around the corner, my red, white, & blue obsession is at a fever pitch! I thought it would be fun this week to share a few festive looks to get you in the mood for one of my favorite holidays! This dress capitalizes on the oh-so-popular off the shoulder trend, and the chambray makes it perfect for everyday wear, but adding a fun red clutch gives it that little something special :)

Tell me, do you have your look for the 4th picked out yet?

Surprise! + Dressing Room Diaries

Gray Tee (a new favorite) // J. Crew Skirt (this year's version) // Sam Edelman Gigi sandals // Tassel Necklace // Phone Case

Well y'all... SURPRISE! Things may look a little different around here this morning & that's because this little blog went through a huge redesign this weekend! I've been wanting to change things up for awhile, call it getting older, but in all areas of my life I've been craving simplicity & streamlined elements. I was also wanting to add more functional elements to the blog to make it an easier experience for y'all to find anything you want or need and I think this design takes the cake! I'd love for you to let me know what you think! And if there are any missing or broken links shoot me a note, I've been checking them all but I could have missed something :)

Currently Obsessing Over... {v. 75}

Ummm, y'all how are we already 3/4 of the way through June?!?! I don't know about you but this year is FLYING by and I can't hold on tight enough! I always think I'm going to get so much more accomplished in 6 months, and then I look back and see how many New Year's Resolutions I have yet to make a dent in (*cough* read a book a month *cough*). Anyone else feel me?? Luckily we have a weekend coming up (although per usual I will be everywhere but home) and I'm looking forward to some fun! This girl is in need of popping, fizzing, and clinking!

Black Maxi Dress + Denim Jacket

Maxi Dress: Old Navy (under $30 + extra 30% off!) // Denim Jacket: Loft (a serious closet staple) // Necklace: J. Crew Factory (almost exact here) // Sandals: Sam Edelman c/o Shopbop

I don't know what's gotten into me this week with all these neutrals, but I am not hating it at all! Sometimes you just need to slip on the classics and run out the door (which was the case with today's look!) Whenever I'm struggling with what to wear, a maxi + denim jacket can usually solve my "what to wear" problem :) I realized the other week that I was lacking a black maxi dress, so I popped into Old Navy, and what do you know? They had just the thing for less than $30! Can't beat that!

Minnie Mouse

Top: Banana Republic (still a few sizes left + extra 40% off!) // Shorts: Loft // Sandals: Sophie and Trey // Apple Watch // Necklace: Stella and Dot (sold out, similar here)

Today I'm sharing a not-so-usual look for me... black + white! When I found my favorite peplum top was still in stock in my size, I couldn't resist scooping it up in classic white & decided to go timeless by pairing it with these darling black scalloped shorts. All these fun girly details this season keep simple outfits from being boring, and are making me swoon! When I saw this fun polka dot chair, the thought of Minnie Mouse popped into my head, and this outfit will now forever be known as my Minnie look! :) Can take the girl out of Orlando... but can't take the Disney out of the girl (as hard as she tries)!

A little *sale alert* for y'all: everything in Banana Republic's sale section is currently 40% off + an extra 10% off if you have a Banana card with code "BRCARD"- and there are some fabulous finds like my peplum top, this ruffle dress I've been lusting over, and this flirty work number!

National Wear Your Lilly Day!

Headband: c/o Headbands of Hope // Dress: Lilly Pulitzer Daphne (old, Love this Lilly!) // Necklace: Stella and Dot (option 1/option 2) // Sandals: c/o Palm Beach Sandals // Apple Watch // Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties

It's a pretty exciting Monday y'all! Even though it's been feeling like summer for awhile, today marks the official first day of summer AND it's National Wear Your Lilly Day! It may not be the most widely-known holiday, but it's a favorite in my book! You'll have to check my insta to see what I'm wearing to work to celebrate (@girlmeetsbow) but this is a favorite recent weekend look!

This dress is just about the most understated Lilly I have in my closet, but I love that it's a blank slate for my accessories and let's my Headbands of Hope take center state! Y'all know how much I love giving back, so I am so proud to share this headband today and the amazing mission behind the company. Headbands of Hope's mission is to make children with cancer feel beautiful; so for every headband you purchase, they donate one to a child with cancer. So each time you wear one & feel beautiful, you know that a sweet child is wearing theirs and feeling gorgeous too! Now that's something to smile about today :)

This was a hard, hard week y'all. Most of you know that Orlando is my hometown, and my family and best friends are still there, so news of the massacre this past weekend was heartbreaking for so many reasons. The thought that it happened minutes from the people I love the most? Truly terrifying, and while I am so thankful my loved ones were not harmed, I ache for those families and friends who cannot say the same of the 49 victims. So much pain.

You have no idea how much your kind words, prayers, thoughts & love mean to me and the thousands who love Orlando, live there, or know those who do. It's been amazing to see hope in the midst of this tragedy and a reminder that God is, and always will be, good.

I'm definitely ready for some fun and good cheer this weekend, and I'm excited that Buddy and I are headed to Gainesville to help my sister at Preview (orientation for starting University of Florida in the fall) as well as celebrating Father's Day! Some family time is going to be good for the heart :)

Summer Colors: Pink + Turquoise

Pink Polo: Tracy Negoshian // Turquoise Striped Skirt: Loft (old, similar here) // Gold Sandals: Sophie & Trey // Aviators: Target // Apple Watch // Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties

Lately I've been trying to shop my closet a little more and trying to find new ways to wear some of my tried and true pieces. I've got lots of expenses that will be coming my way soon (I'm trying to buy new living rom and bedroom furniture) so I've got to keep my shopping in moderation- which is no easy feat for me! So, I got really excited when I realized that shopping my closet brought together today's colorful and fresh look!

For me, adding brights on top + brights on bottom = a winning combination! I love the way the pink and turquoise compliment each other, and some simple gold accessories bring it all together. Do you have any tips for shopping your closet? Or saving money? I'll take any help I can get! :)

Red, White, & Blue Favorites for 4th of July!

Happy Hump Day y'all! I was almost giddy putting this post together because I love patriotic goodies so much! This may sound super cheesy, but I am so proud to be an American and I love celebrating our great nation. So it's no surprise that I can't wait for the 4th of July and am sharing some fun finds to get y'all ready too! Time to bring on the watermelon & fun in the sun!

A Sea of Blue

Dress: Gap (on sale & 40% off!) // Chambray: Loft (almost exact here) // Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne // Apple watch // Tote: Tory Burch York (Leather version here) // Sunglasses: Target // Flats: c/o Oka-B Janey (get 20% off with code "GIRLMEETSBOW16")

When it comes to effortless dressing, it doesn't get more simple than a comfy t-shirt dress and chambray. I'd had the thought that since these two pieces were in the same color family they would look great together, and I love the ease that tying the chambray around my waist brings to the overall look. If you live someplace that gets chilly at night still (lucky you) than having your shirt on hand makes it easy to throw on as an extra layer at night!

And speaking of easy... how about these Oka-B Janey flats?! Let's be honest, there are a lot of flats that are not comfortable at all. But these shoes my friends are an answer to all your problems! I run around my office all day long and these flats have passed my test with flying colors! So it should be no surprise that I tossed them on with this weekend look and was pleased as punch with the outcome :)

Dressing Room Diaries

Well a brand new week is upon us, so what better way to welcome it than with a new round of "Dressing Room Diaries" ?! Y'all seem to enjoy these as much as I do; I love being able to share how items fit 'in real life' without perfect photography or Lightroom (and with my after-wedding hair!) I'm providing fit and sizing information, but if you have any additional questions leave 'em below in the comments or email me :)

Gingham Drop Waist Dress ($69.50- get $50 off through Tuesday with code "FLASH")- I shared this darling dress last week during my Summer Sundress round-up and I was excited to try it on in store this weekend, and let me tell 'ya I'm glad I did! This dress runs quite large & long, I'm actually wearing a small petite (I'm normally a medium regular). For extra context, I'm 5'4 & a size 6/8 on bottom :) Once I got the right size on, I absolutely adored this look! I feel ready for a summer picnic!

Currently Obsessing Over... {v. 73}

How is it that short weeks sometime feel the longest?! It may have been the flying home on a red-eye into a Tropical Storm that had something to do with it! And then the slight flooding in my apartment due to all the rain for 24 hours straight... UGH. Sometimes adulating is hard y'all!

So when real life is hard, then sometimes one just has to look at pretty things and enjoy a whole bunch of fab finds & sweet obsessions... right?! :) So let's get to it!

Chambray & Shorts

Chambray Shirt: Loft Factory (almost exact here & under $30 here) // Shorts: Loft (love these and these- same shorts in different print) // Sandals: Gap // Necklace: R.J. Graziano (similar) // Apple Watch // Sunglasses: Target

Ever have a combination in your closet, that's so effortless that when you put it together you go, "Why didn't I think of that before?!" That was certainly the case with this look! As much as I love chambray (and y'all know I wear it all the time) I never thought to pair it with my favorite bright shorts until now... and I so wish it didn't take me this long! But you can sure bet that now that I've brought this look together, I won't be forgetting it anytime soon!

Ten Best Summer Sundresses Under $100

There is no more staple item for summer than the classic sundress & with temps heating up fast and furious in Florida, there is no time like the present to share my ten favorite summer sundresses! And you know what the best part is? They are ALL under $100!! Yep, I'm all about sharing the deals friends! :)

Blissfully Biking

Dress: Tracy Negoshian // Sandals: c/o Oka-B (get 20% off with "OKABGIRL16") // Apple Watch // Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne

Summertime conjures up a lot of great imagery for me: hot dogs on the bbq, fresh watermelon, sundresses, and of course long, leisurely bike rides! When you've got a cruiser this cute, it's natural to want to use it as much as possible (especially in this gorgeous weather we've been having)! I was tickled when I realized my dress, bike, and Oka-B sandals were a perfect match- so of course I took it for a spin! I was definitely the most colorful biker on the block!

PS- Thank y'all SO much for your incredibility kind comments on Friday's post! Knowing that you find joy in the blog and it makes you smile means the world to me! :)

Currently Obsessing Over... {v. 72}

Happy Friday friends! I hope y'all have had a great week (so nice that it was a short one)! I'm having a busy time in Vegas, but loving all the sights and sounds :) Can't wait to tell you all about it soon! Keeping it short and sweet today so we can dive into the fun... everything I'm obsessing over! Keep  reading for all the good stuff :)

The Brighter the Better

Tee: J. Crew Factory (love this option and this one too) // Skirt: J. Crew (same color here) // Tennis Shoes: Target (original version here) // Apple Watch // Sunnies: Target (under $20!)

You know how they say, "Everything's bigger in Texas?" Well I'm thinking we need to make, "Everything's brighter in Florida" a thing! ;) Because, when the sun is shining this brightly, how can you not grab your brightest looks and rock 'em?

I normally wear this skirt much dressier for the office, so I thought it would be fun to dress it down with a graphic tee and tennies for an easy weekend look. The end result was fun, bright, and so perfect for these 90 degree days (that's right y'all- it's already in the nineties here!!)

Viva Las Vegas

Y'all I have some super exciting news... I'm headed to Las Vegas! There is a huge jewelry show there that I will be shopping for new product (and of course having some fun along the way)! I've never been to Vegas so I am over the moon with excitement for this trip! Because we will be going from working (and walking) the show to dinners and performances I need shoes that can walk miles and dresses that will transition from day tonight. In the spirit of Vegas I'm also stocking up on all kinds of color (but like that's a surprise)!
