The Only Shorts You Need for Summer

Tee: Loft || Shorts: Loft (wearing size 6) || Sandals: Pierre Dumas via Statements || Necklace: Stella and Dot (similar here) || Target: Sunglasses || Apple Watch

I know it's a pretty bold statement to say that these are "the only shorts you need for summer"- but friends that's how good they are! The minute I laid eyes on them, it was pretty much love at first sight- the stripes, the pink, the big bow! S-W-O-O-N! My head was already spinning with all the ideas I had to style them. When it came time to shoot this look, I decided to KISS (keep it simple silly) and let the shorts speak for themselves. So a white tee and simple gold jewelry it was! I definitely think you could amp up your look with a one-shoulder or off the shoulder top + wedges... girl's night?! Yes please! When those chilly summer nights roll in, toss on a denim jacket for an extra layer. I adore the loose, comfy fit yet how pulled together they look!

For fit, these shorts have an elastic waist and loose fit, but run TTS- I'm wearing a 6.

I Like Big Bows...

Dress: c/o Make Me Chic || Wedges: c/o Oka-B (get 20% off with code "OKABGIRL16") || Apple Watch || Bangle: Bourbon and Bowties

There is absolutely nothing this Florida girl loves more than a sunshine-filled day at the beach! This weekend my Aunt/photographer and I got together to shoot some new content for this little blog & I told her we just HAD to meet near the water- I needed some Vitamin Sea! Luckily, I had the perfect dress for an excursion down to the beach- this precious striped bow dress! I love the loose, oversized fit- it allowed me to stay cool even in the sweltering heat. And I mean, who doesn't love the sweet bow-tie detail on the back... swoon! When I got these new Oka-B Sullivan wedges in the mail I knew they would make the perfect pairing! #BowonBowsonBows In my world, too much is never enough! ;)

Fancy Friday Finds (vol. 4)

TGIF! Am I right?! I was talking to my best friend last night, and telling her how crazy my workweek was, and she said "I feel like that's been a theme for you lately!" Yes friends, she is right! As much as I sound like a broken record, it's been another insane week at the office and it's not slowing down anytime soon! I've been coming in early, staying late and running around like a crazy woman every minute in between- so I need every minute of this weekend to recover from the week :)

So let's kick it off with a new round of Fancy Friday Finds... yay!

Anchors Away!

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer (shop more options at the end of this post) || Sandals: Sam Edelman Yardley (option here and here) || Apple Watch || Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties

Does this dress not get you in the summertime vibe?! If you know Lilly Prints than you know this one came from a few years ago when the theme of each of her collections was a different party. This particular print is from the "Booze Cruise" collection and it never fails to make me smile! I have such a deep love for all things nautical- and this piece combines all those motifs I adore! I think the high-low hemline is so sassy too- a little extra "flair" if you will ;) This dress is a perfect example of why I love Lilly so much- even a few years after it's introduction a Lilly piece never goes out of style!

I had originally ordered this dress to be my birthday dress, but when I went to Raleigh it ended up being freezing the whole weekend so I realized I would have to save this dress for another occasion. Needless to say I'm counting down to the first summer soiree of the season so I can bust out this beauty!

Summer Palm Print

Tunic: Buddy Love via Madison Raleigh (similar here) || Jeans: Loft || Wedges: Target (similar here) || Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne || Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties || Clutch: Sophie and Trey (similar here) || Apple Watch

Happy Monday friends! Did you have a wonderful Easter weekend? I always love this weekend so much, because it's such a chance for reflection and sweet celebration (you can read more about my thoughts here).

Well I've been really excited to share today's look with you, because I have a new brand to love- Buddy Love to be exact! When I was visiting my girlfriends in Raleigh for my birthday weekend we went shopping and I stumbled upon this show-stopping tunic top. It was one of those pieces that I KNEW I would regret not getting if it didn't come home with me. So I checked out real quick!! After doing some more internet stalking research on the brand, I realized I actually owned another dress from them (a favorite of mine) and I pretty much wanted everything on their website! There's bright prints & bold patterns- two things I adore!

This tunic is pretty long on me (I'm 5'4 for reference) so I half-tucked it to help lengthen my legs. But if you're taller it would be SO cute as a swingy tunic with white denim or tucked into denim shorts! Lots of ideas to style it!

Sunday Scripture: He is Risen!

Happy Easter friends! This is such a special holiday as it is a reminder to me (and each of us!) just how much God loves us. The simple truth is that you and I are sinners- that's just all there is to it. And yet the Lord loves us so deeply, and wanted to make a way for us to join him in heaven, that he sent his son, Jesus, as a living sacrifice for our sins.

Just let that sink in for a minute!

#TargetDoesItAgain : The Sweetest Summer Maxi!

Dress: Cat and Jack via Target (shop more of my favorites from the collection below!) || Sandals: Sam Edelman || Apple Watch || Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties || Necklace: Kendra Scott || Clutch: Sophie & Trey (similar) || Sunglasses: Target

I've let y'all in to my "secret shopping spot" at my go-to retailer before, but can you blame me when the dresses are THIS cute?! I mean, here I am running in to pick up face wash and a birthday card when this dress all but jumped off the rack and into my basket! The palm print is super on trend this season (in fact I have a new piece with it coming next week :) ) and the neon detailing around the bottom of it is just the perfect pop of color! As soon as I saw it my brain started shouting, "wear me to brunch!" - and that's what I'm doing this weekend ;) I mean... a girl's got to listen to her brain! ha

Speaking of the weekend, can we talk about how happy I am that it is here?! I feel like I say this all the time (#brokenrecord) but work has just been off-the-charts crazy! Every week I think, "oh this week is going to be pretty calm" and then everything just blows up! It definitely keeps me on my toes and oh-so-busy. Can't complain about that, but bring on the wine this weekend!

Let's Talk Spring Dresses + Shopbop's Sale of the Season!

What, an extra week day post?! Who am I?! ;) There are so many fun sales going on this week that I couldn't miss out on the chance to tell y'all about another one - and share my favorite dress selections! I'm sure you know by now that Shopbop is having THE sale of the season! Unlike their tiered sale from a few months ago, this sale offers a straight discount- 20% off under $500 & 25% over $500- so everyone wins! Just use code "Event17" and you're golden :)

In the Spring and Summer (and really, year-round!) I wear dresses, dresses, and more dresses! So I couldn't wait to share my current wishlist, finds, and favorites! There are seriously SO many cute pieces & bright colors- this Florida girl's heart is happy, happy!

Dressing Room Diary + SALES!

Alright friends, I'm going to give you a warning... today's Dressing Room Diaries is a DOOZY! There are so many cute new arrivals in stores lately that I have a ton to share with you! Grab a big 'ol cup of joe and let's jump right in!

{For reference, everything is TTS unless I mention otherwise. I'm 5'4 and normally wear a small/med/size 4-6 in the stores listed below! I will make sure to let you know what size I'm wearing for each item so that you can make a judgement call on sizing :) }

Wanted to give y'all the head's up that LOFT is currently having it's Friends and Family sale, which means that everything is 40% off with code "FRIENDS"- so everything you see below is now on sale! woo-hoo!

Floral Romper- Wearing size medium. I live in rompers for spring/summer so I thought this was a fun new pattern to add to my romper wardrobe. I tried to get y'all a shot of the back too as I love the fun criss-cross detail!

Ready for the Weekend With Vineyard Vines

Pullover: Vineyard Vines (new pattern) || Shorts: Old Navy (my go-to shorts for summer!) || Sperrys: gifted (similar & similar) || Necklace: HSN || Sunglasses: Target || Coffee Cup: Lilly Pulitzer

I thought my days of wearing sleeves were pretty much over (#FloridaProblems), but what do you know, a small cold front moved through this weekend and I'm taking full advantage by whipping out this comfy and preppy pullover from Vineyard Vines! This look was giving me some serious nautical vibes, so I added my Sperry's (a gift from my mama) and pearls for a full on prep-tastic look! ha. I don't know why it's taken me so long to get a VV Shep Shirt- it is so comfortable that I want to spend all my weekend days in it! Unfortunately the heat is on it's way back, so I think my days are numbered in it, but I wanted to make sure and share it for those of you who still have some chill in the air!

March Book Reviews

Happy Wednesday and welcome to my newest round of book reviews! Unfortunately I totally fell off the wagon in February, but I'm so glad I was able to get back in action this month and read some new books! Just like in previous months, I'm giving my honest reviews of the books and whether or not I'd recommend them to you! For context, I tend to lean towards lighthearted "chic lit" but do enjoy a good mystery or thriller from time to time if the story is compelling! :)

Alright, lets get started...!

The Perfect Easter Dress (for Under $30!)

Dress: Merona (under $30!) || Jacket: Loft || Sandals: Palm Beach Sandals || Necklace: Kendra Scott || Apple Watch

I can't believe that Easter is right around the corner (April 16th to be exact) and if your family is anything like mine, than it is not only a day to celebrate the hope we have because of our Savior, it's also a day to pull out your prettiest spring dress! I realized last week that I was a little behind on picking out my Easter finery, but luck was on my side! I was making a normal Target run when I spotted this beauty hanging right there- like it was meant for me! I'm obsessed with the pretty pastel flowers and the flattering fit-and-flare shape. I also love that you can dress this piece up with heels (these pink beauties are perfect!) or toss on a denim jacket and sandals like I did here for an Easter egg hunt. Speaking of egg hunts, this week I'm "egging" houses with the Junior League! We go out late at night and "egg" members houses with eggs full of treats and a sign that says "Some Bunny in the Junior League loves you!" The kids get SO excited to wake up to a fun surprise! I love seeing the sweet pictures flood my newsfeed, so it's always such a fun week!

Weekend Plans with Oka-B

Tee: Merona || Shorts: J. Crew (fits TTS, also come in some great solid colors) || Flats: c/o Oka-B "Easton" Flat (use code"OKABGIRL16" for 20% off!) || Sunglasses: Target || Apple Watch || Bangles: Bourbon & Bowties || Cup: Sunnylife (love this!!) || Necklace: Kendra Scott

I feel like the alternate title for today's post could be "Sunshine & Summertime" - and it's only March 31st! But as you can see from these photos there is NO shortage of sunny rays here in the Sunshine State! I've got to tell you though, I'm not complaining at all! I live for these long, sunny days.

Due to the 85 degree temperatures, my wardrobe has quickly had to flip over into full-time summer style and includes lots of sundresses, shorts, and tees. The more lightweight the better folks! I recently picked up these seersucker ruffle shorts from J. Crew and I couldn't be more in love! They are super lightweight & have a great stretch, and the ruffle detail on the top and pockets is just the cutest! Since I styled this with blue on blue I thought a pop of pink from my necklace & Oka-B flats would be so much fun! Oka-B just launched their spring line and it's adorable- all the bright colors are making my colorful heart so happy! Don't forget you can get 20% off any shoes at Oka-B with code "OKABGIRL16"!

I'm extending my birthday month as long as possible by heading home today to celebrate the March babies in my family- my mom, sister, and me! I can't wait to see them and celebrate :) What are y'all up to?

Shop Simply Stylish LLR

Hey Friends! How is your week going so far? Mine has been just running on by... but what else is new?! Work continues to be crazy- literally our direction/product changes every day- but I love that it keeps me on my toes and busy! I'm so much more productive when I have a really long to-do list (any one else feel me?!)

But, today I'm leaving the office early and hitting the road for a very special reason... my aunt is launching her own business!! As you (may) know, my Aunt Kelly takes all the pictures you see here on this blog. Her and I get together once a month and shoot 10-13 outfits so I have a "cache" throughout the month of content. I'm so thankful because this blog couldn't run without her! In addition, she is an elementary school teacher, mother, wife, & avid traveler. To say she is busy is an understatement! But, she has a passion for retail & along with her 2 best friends has decided to launch a LulaRoe business, Simply Stylish LulaRoe. I couldn't be more proud of her for pursuing her dream!

Laura Cox Designs Necklace + GIVEAWAY!

Dress: LOFT (last year, similar here & love this too!) || Necklace: c/o Laura Cox Designs (win one below & get 15% off through 4/3 with code "GIRLMEETSBOW15"!) || Sandals: Palm Beach Sandals || Apple Watch || Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties || Clutch: Shandy Style

That's why I got so excited about discovering Laura Cox Designs last year- her pieces are so beautiful and totally something no one else is wearing! Each time I wear my tassel necklace I get TONS of compliments (what every gal wants)!  That's why I'm so excited to be teaming up with Laura today to share a brand new metal-work design & giving one of these stunning necklaces away to one of you!! In addition, Laura is so sweet that she wanted each of you to get a little something, so from now until 4/3 you can get 15% off her entire site with code "GIRLMEETSBOW15" - I mean what a deal! :)

Fancy Friday Finds (vol. 3)

Happy Fri-YAY my friends!! This week simultaneously felt like both the longest & shortest week ever, so I'm so ready for the weekend to be here!

It's been about a month since I share my last Fancy Friday Finds- so i'm really excited to be back today with more to share! Spring is in FULL effect out in the stores & there is so much to see and love. A girl could seriously go broke with all the fun funds!

Workweek Chic: 5 Ways to Stand Out at The Office

Dress: Tracy Negoshian || Wedges: J. Crew Factory || Monogram: Moon & Lola (I'm wearing the XL size) || Apple Watch

Happy Wednesday friends! Yesterday I ended up having a crazy day at work - if you follow me on Instagram that you saw I was at the studio until almost 1:00 AM because we had a Today's Special launch at midnight for my brand. We were introducing a new guest and I wanted to be there to support her! I was running on about 4 hours of sleep the rest of the day, and then got my end-of-year review! A whole lot to take in :)

But, as I was speaking with my boss about my successes and opportunities, it got me thinking that I've learned a LOT in the past 7 years of being a professional, and I wanted to share some of that with y'all. When you work in a large corporate office it can be difficult to stand out among all your co-workers. But, I have a few tips that have made a difference for me and have helped me to get noticed (in good ways!) PS- Even if you worked in a smaller office or less traditional environment these tips can still apply!

My Favorite Dress (Take 2)

Dress: Cat and Jack (wearing a girl's XL) || Shoes: Converse (size down a half-size) || Necklace: Lilly Pulitzer (old, similar here) - also, how cute are these orange earrings?! || Apple Watch

Welcome to a new week y'all! Last week was a total blur to me- getting back from 8 days of travel and coming up to a hurricane at work (seriously) was no joke, so sorry that it got a little quite around here! But I'm back in action, settled home again, and ready to share some really fun new outfits and content with y'all!

So let's get to it shall we?! :)

Saturday Shopping: Lunch at Lilly + Victoria Beckham for Target

Happy Saturday y'all! The sun is shining, the temps are gorgeous, I'm headed for a pedicure, AND it's  Lunch at Lilly today!! If you're new to the Lilly brand, Lunch at Lilly is one of the most fun days of the year because you get a free gift with purchase no matter what you spend! And this year's gifts are all party & cocktail themed which will get you ready for all the summer parties to come. Take a look (after the jump) to see all the great gifts this year:

The One Thing That Never Goes Out Of Style

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer (vintage, but I see it all the time on Poshmark!) || Wedges: Merona (option here) || Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne || Apple Watch || Bangles: Bourbon & Bowties || Sunglasses: Target

I think we all have those go-to items in our wardrobe, those things that can always make us feel good. It's probably no surprise, but for me those items of clothing are always Lilly Pulitzer! (Told you it wasn't surprising!) And although the bright colors never fail to make me happy, and the cheeky patterns always make me smile, what I love most is that I feel most like myself when I am wearing these pieces. And when I feel most like me, then I'm the most confident me I can be :) (So cheesy! ha)

When I was planning outfits for this shoot, I started to stress out because frankly, I've been saving & not shopping very much lately- so I didn't have all these amazing brand-new pieces to share. But when I really started thinking about what y'all love to see, you always respond best to things that are most authentically "me" and inspire you to break out colors/patterns/styles that you may not always reach for. So I decided instead to pack up a dress that never fails to make me happy (even though it's a true "vintage" Lilly print) and the truth is I feel the most confident :)

Spring Fever

Birthday Brights!

Yellow Dress: c/o Make Me Chic (wearing size small) || Shoes: Sam Edelman "Yardley" (option 1/option 2) || Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne || Apple Watch || Clutch: Mud Pie (similar) || Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties

Today is one of my favorite days of the year... My BIRTHDAY!! It's my last year in my twenties and I can hardly believe it! I remember being a little girl and thinking that 30 sounded so old, and that I would be so mature and have it all figured out by then. Now it's a year away and I still don't feel close to having it all together- ha! I certainly don't feel old either ;)

To celebrate, I headed to Raleigh last night with some of my girls for a fun weekend! We've got lots of brunch, wine, and relaxing planned & I can't wait! If you need me I will be laughing, dancing, and toasting to the brand new year of my life and all the excitement and hope it ushers in!

The Cutest Pink Cold Shoulder

Top: c/o Make Me Chic || Shorts: Loft || Shoes: Converse || Clutch: Lilly Pulitzer (old, similar) || Necklace: Kendra Scott || Apple Watch

Happy Wednesday! I'm still (currently) in NY and I'm headed home tonight- it's been a busy week here at market and I can't wait to share it with y'all soon! It's a lot of work, but it's definitely fun :) I grabbed drinks last night in the city with my friends Katie for a little pre-birthday celebration... can't believe I will be another year older on Friday!

In other exciting news, I'm thrilled to share this adorable cold-shoulder top with y'all today! I think I became a human heart-eye emoji the minute I saw it, and that love keeps on growing! I think this is a perfect spring to summer top because it pairs well with both casual shorts & could also be dressed up with dark denim and wedges. How cute would this be for a night out??

Also, I realized I haven't chatted about it in awhile, but I still love my Kendra Scott Rayne necklace! I get asked about it ALL the time, and whether I think they are worth the price, and the answer is 100% yes, they are so worth it! I own three (this blue, a light pink, and neon pink) and I wear them 1-2 times a week. They always add the perfect pop of color to my outfits too! So if you are still on the fence I hope you take a chance on one; and remember during your birthday month you get 50% off one item in the store! Now what color am I adding to my collection next?!

The Under $15 Dress You NEED!

Dress: Cat and Jack (wearing a girl's XL) || Necklace: Baublebar (old, similar) || Clutch: Local Boutique (similar) || Wedges: Merona (love these!) || Apple Watch

Hi Friends! Long time, no chat! First off, thank y'all so much for your kind words, support, and encouragement you left on this post. I'm kind of a perfectionist, and I like to put 110% into everything I do, so admitting that I can't do it all and need to balance things better was really hard for me. But all your kind words assured me that I'm making the right choice- and it is so sweet to have your unwavering support!

If I hadn't come to the conclusion to scale back on my own, I think my body was going to let me know I was over-doing it... I came down with an awful cold on Wednesday night and it seriously knocked me out. On Thursday I barely made it through the day and ended up in bed by 8:30! I really missed y'all Friday, but my body desperately needed to recover since my gal Rachael got married on Saturday & I definitely didn't want to miss out on the fun!

Workweek Chic: Black Lace + A Life Update!

White Tunic Top: Lush (on sale for $27!) || Lace Pants: J. Crew Factory || Wedges: J. Crew Factory || Purse: Kate Spade (option here & here- both on sale!) || Necklace: Stella & Dot (similar) || Apple Watch || Bangle: Kate Spade

Happy March y'all!! I can't believe that we are already three months into the year- time keeps on flying! I'm pretty excited because it's my birthday month - only 9 more days!

I feel like I owe y'all a little bit of a life update- it's been way too long since we caught up. As y'all know, I work full time in corporate retail as an Associate Jewelry Buyer, and with the tough retail environment right now, my job has literally been insane! I've been leaving work at 8 every night and eating, sleeping, and breathing jewelry to try and boost our business. I also accepted a volunteer position as co-chair of membership development for the Junior League (or leading our new member class) which has been taking lots of time and energy. On top of that, I'm chairing a committee for my local Heart Gallery's Fundraiser Gala "Flock to the Trop" (they help foster children find forever homes- a cause very close to my heart). Whew- are you tired yet? Because I sure am!

So why am I telling you all this?!

Weekend Recap: #AdamsTakesATL

Last weekend I was thrilled to head to Atlanta for my girl Rachael's bachelorette weekend! We had such a fun time in the A-T-L that I wanted to share some "behind the scenes" pictures with y'all and share some of what we saw and did. It's perfect timing since this Saturday, Rachael and Joe tie the knot!

Five Tips for Planning a Stress-Free Girl's Trip

Happy Friday Friends! I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to share today's post- in fact I've been working on it for awhile so yay for finally getting it to you!! :)

One of my favorite things in the world are the girl's trips that I take each year. When we graduated college, my best friends and I (there are about 12 of us total) decided to make it a yearly tradition to take a trip together. Although we now are girlfriends, wives, mothers, businesswomen, entrepreneurs, and more, each year we prioritize these trips together! To make it less-stressful each year we rotate who plans the trip- and last October it was my turn. I learned A LOT about how to plan a trip and manage your stress - because if you stress the whole time, you miss all the fun! So in the spirit of sharing my learnings, today I'm spilling 5 tips for a stress-free girl's trip!

How to "Winter-ize" Your Lilly Pulitzer

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer Ali Dress || Vest: J. Crew Factory (on sale!) || Booties: Vince Camuto "Peera" || Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties || Apple Watch || Necklace: HSN (old, similar)

I gave a sneak peek of this look yesterday on Instagram and y'all loved it! Looks like I'm not the only one who loves to carry my Lilly Pulitzer into the "winter" season (if you can even call it that in Florida!!) I have a pretty well-documented obsession on here of my love for a puffer vest, so when there was a chill in the air the other day I paired one with my swingiest Lilly dress and called it a day!

I definitely subscribe to the adage that "more is more & less is a bore" so rather than toning this dress down with a neutral-colored dress, I decided to "tone it up" with another bright to bring out all the color! There's no definitely hiding in this look- and that's how I like it! :)

Ready & Ruffled

Ruffle Top: c/o Romwe || Jeans: J. Crew Toothpick Jeans || Shoes: Converse (Size down a 1/2 size) || Necklace: Kendra Scott || Bangle: Kate Spade

Hey friends! I've missed you around here! If you follow along on Instagram you saw that I spent the weekend in Atlanta celebrating my girl Rachael for her bachelorette! (Much more to come on that!) We had SO much fun, but between a crazy week at work and prepping for the weekend, it took it out of me and I needed to spend a few days in my "life" away from the blog. I'm sure y'all understand! But I'm thrilled to be back today with an adorable top that I've been dying to share with you.

When I first saw the ruffles and peplum on this top, I couldn't help but think "RUFFLES!!" (I mean really though). I think there are a lot of ways to wear this top, but I decided to keep it casual and pair it with my favorite distressed denim & go-to sneakers for an easy weekend look. A note on sizing: this top does run short (hits me above my hip) so if you're taller than 5'4 (my height) than it may be too short on you.

Transitional Layers with Oka-B

Striped Peplum Top: Loft (old, super similar here) || Vest: Old Navy (option here) || Jeans: J. Crew Toothpick Jeans || Necklace: J. Crew || Flats: c/o Oka-B "Sutton" (on sale!) || I've gotten lots of questions on my curls, and you can pick up my curling wand here

I don't know about you, but I find this time of the year incredibly hard to dress for! At this point I'm so over my winter wardrobe, but the mornings are still chilly and afternoons are almost 80, so what is a girl to wear?!?! These are the times that I have to rely on layers. A simple striped tee can really be elevated (and made more interesting!) with a great vest and sparkly necklace- I love the interplay between all the different fabrics! I'm also pretty over my boot assortment, so grabbing these cute bow flats reinvigorates me :) I mean, who doesn't get excited over #bowsonyourtoes??

Happy Valentine's Day!

Pink Tee: J. Crew (option here) || Skirt: J. Crew (option 1/2/3 also how darling are these pants as an alternative?!) || Red Bag: Kate Spade (option here) || Tennis Shoes: Converse || Necklace: c/o Marley Lilly || Apple Watch

Happy Valentine's day y'all!! It's no surprise that I love this day of love- I mean hello I'm obsessed with the color pink! But more than that, I love that today is a great reminder to tell those in our lives how much we love them & they mean to us (and I'm not just talking about our significant others). Although we should be telling them everyday, we all know how busy life gets, so slowing down and "sharing the love" is so important!

Even though I'm single this year, I'm embracing the "Galentine's" idea and headed out to grab drinks with some friends of mine, so I'm excited for the fun! What plans do you have for tonight?

Dressing Room Diaries: Early Spring Favorites

Happy Monday friends!! How was everyone's weekend? I had a fabulous one: co-hosted the sweetest baby shower, girl's night out, church (I'm now approved to start volunteering with the babies and I'm SO excited to start in March!), the sunniest lunch with friends, and the some spring shopping! Yep, it was a busy & great one!

Well, I'm thrilled to share my shopping adventures with you today in a doozy of a new round of Dressing Room Diaries! You know the drill... the lighting is kind of wanky, my hair is sometimes a mess, & un-edited iPhone photos are the name of the game! But, you'll get to see these pieces IRL and get a feel for the fit & sizing. As always if you have any questions let me know!

For reference- I'm a size 6, usually between a Small/Medium size with a small top and curvy bottom half.

Happy Shopping!

Lilly Pulitzer Ophelia Dress- This is one of my favorite style dresses from Lilly as the swingy fit is so flattering on every shape! I size up to a medium for length. Totally obsessed with this darling pineapple print!

5 Shows Currently On My DVR

Tunic: c/o Make Me Chic || Leggings: c/o LulaRoe Mary Allison || Boots: Michael Shannon (these are my go-to pair) || Apple Watch || Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties

Happy Friday! It has been another busy, busy week here and I absolutely cannot believe that February is already half-way though! I've been running around town so much that I've hardly been home or had a moment to catch up on my "life". Last night I only made it about 30 minutes on my couch before my eyes just couldn't stay open! Needless to say, I'm currently very thankful for my DVR so I can catch up on my favorite shows this weekend :) Is #DVRandChill a thing?! ha! So today I thought it would be fun to share a few shows currently on my DVR- are there any you're watching too?

You Gotta Gypsy Soul to Blame...

Navy Pesant Blouse: Gap (40% off with code "FORYOU") || Sweater Vest: Loft (old, similar here) || Jeans: J. Crew "Toothpick" || Hat: c/o Brooklyn Hat Company || Boots: Sam Edelman "Penny"

I'm having the most inspired week this week y'all! I don't know about you, but there is something about spending time with other creatives, and like-minded women, that fills me up with so many new ideas! Tuesday I chatted with my friend Kat and learned all about her amazing furniture business (which you can shop here) - hearing her journey and success story make me so excited to be chasing my dreams! And last night I had dinner with two local blogger/Insta pals (Thanks for dinner Chelsea and Lauren!) and we started talking about how to support each other and bring local creatives together- seriously fun stuff! It's so nice batting around ideas with ladies who just "get it" - you know? So needless to day I'm back in action today feeling fueled and inspired to get to work!

Valentine's Style + Gifts

I can hardly believe that Valentine's Day is almost here! I love this holiday (I mean hello, pink all day err day!) and even though I may not currently be in a relationship, I'll take any excuse to celebrate! I'm also a big believer is sharing love with all of those who mean something to you; friends, family, even co-workers- it's never the wrong time to tell them how special they are! So today I'm rounding up some of my favorite outfits, gifts, and more to help you celebrate in red + pink fashion! :)

Weekend Wrap-Up

Welcome to a new week y'all! I had all sorts of fun this weekend so I thought it would be fun to do a little "Weekend Wrap-Up" and share it all with you!

On Friday night the Junior League of St. Petersburg hosted a super-fun social at a local Speakeasy, Proof. We had a blast with the photo booth & fun craft cocktails- plus playing catch-up with all our favorite gals! It's been awhile since we all got together so it was such a treat to kick off the weekend with everyone.

Fancy Friday Finds (vol. 2)

Well happy Friday y'all! You gave such great feedback on this new series that I decided I just had to bring it back again this week! :) Thanks so much for letting me know that you enjoyed it!

This week has definitely had me on the run-around! I'm the kind of girl who thrives when I'm (over) committed, but it doesn't mean that it's not hard to keep up with everything sometimes. The pressure is definitely on at work too to make sure my brand is bringing in huge sales goals- so there is all sorts of extra stress in the office! Needless to say I'm chanting "TGIF" quite loudly today :)

January Book Review

Welcome to another new series coming to Girl Meets Bow in 2017- a monthly book review! As I mentioned in my 2017 Resolutions, I'm working to read more books & get back to my bookworm roots & doing these monthly roundups is helping to keep me motivated! This month I managed three books (hoping in the coming months to read even more) but I am excited to share them with you. So without further ado... Here is my January book review!

Happiness Is...

Green Jacket: c/o Fancy Frills Boutique || Jeans: J. Crew || Tunic: Lush (I own this in 3 colors- so good!!) || Booties: Vince Camuto (almost exact) || "Southern" Necklace: Simply Southern

I don't know about you, but it seems like the world desperately needs a dose of "happy" right now! There is so much going on, so many thoughts in all directions, and it can seem hard to find the positive spirit in this season. But, finding the positive is something I think I have a major skill for (ha!) so today I thought I'd share a few things that are making me happy this week:

1. Spending 1-on-1 time with my parents Sunday- as the older sister I didn't get as much once I left college and was on my own, so I cherish these times with them!

2. I've got a jam-packed week of meetings, but I love a busy schedule that is full of events that give back!

3. I get to see my bestie this weekend!

4. Planning a fabulous mimosa bar for Sunday's big game ;)

5. The perfect green anorak I've been searching for (thanks Fancy Frills!)

Girl Meets Bow

Custom Tee: c/o The Greek Ink Press || Skirt: Loft (similar here) || Shoes: Converse || Apple Watch || Bangle: Lilly Pulitzer (almost exact)

This outfit (and all the sunshine) are pretty much a perfect match for my mood today! Even though it's Monday, I had such a sweet weekend that I am heading into the week so very thankful. On Friday I donated all my old furniture to an amazing local organization, the St Vincent House and then spent all day Saturday deep-cleaning my apartment. It sounds like the most "adult" way to spend the day but I am thrilled that I finally was able to get my place looking spic-and-span! Then Sunday all my new furniture got delivered and I am SO excited! My sweet parents came to help me get everything organized and set up (so thankful for you guys!) and I am just in bliss with all my new pieces that are helping my turn my house into a home. It's the best feeling!

Sunday Scripture + An Invitation

Fancy Friday Finds (vol. 1)

Happy Friday friends and welcome to a brand new series around here, my "Fancy Friday Finds"! In this series I'll be sharing anything and everything that tickles my fancy & makes me take a second look, laugh, smile, or just get happy! You'll get a little bit of everything here- fashion, celeb gossip, recipes, travel & more and I so hope that it's a way to share a bit more of me, with you! I'm planning on this series being at least once a month, but will do it more often depending on the amount of fancy & fabulous things I find :) Sound good?? So here goes...

Workweek Chic: Lace Pants

Sweater: Loft || Pants: J. Crew Factory (Extra 35% off with code "THECOOLEST") || Wedges: c/o Oka-B || Necklace: J. Crew (on sale for under $20!) || Apple Watch || Bangle: Kate Spade

Hey y'all! I realized that it's been a hot minute since I shared a workweek look with you, and that is far too long! I'll be honest, I've had some trouble getting inspired with my workwear lately, it just feels SO hard to get dressed for a professional atmosphere in the winter season. But, when I spotted these lace pants, it totally reawakened my imagination! Lace is just so ladylike, and in this gorgeous blush shade they made me swoon! I'm normally one to wear my darker piece on the bottom (you know that slimming effect & all) but I got outside my box and I loved the results!

My Go-To Healthy Recipes

For the past six months, I've been on quite the journey of learning how to eat better and make the right choices in the kitchen so that I can better fuel my body for my busy lifestyle! I know I'm not the only one who feels like time is the hardest part of eating cleaner/better- there is just not enough of it! I certainly don't have hours to spend in the kitchen, more like an hour on Sundays, so I like to keep a stock of go-to recipes on rotation so that eating well isn't out of reach.

So today I'm really excited to share with you my five go-to meals! These are tried-and-true and always fill me up while delivering great flavor- and must for me :)
