Pop, Fizz, Clink! {Happy New Year + Goals!}

I'm so excited to share my New Year's Goals with y'all today! It's taken me quite some time to nail down exactly what I wanted my goals to be for 2015, but I'm thrilled with what I landed on!

For this year, I decided to focus on less specifics (i.e.: "go to gym three times per week") and more on the "big ideas" of what I wanted my new year to look like. 2014 was a toughie for me, and there were far too many up and down moments, but I just have this thrilling little feeling in my heart that 2015 is going to be something special!!

And friends, I can't thank YOU enough for making this year so special! I've seen Girl Meets Bow grow in ways I never thought it would and it is completely due to your support and positive reactions to my little corner of the web. This has been an incredible journey and I am so thankful for your daily visits and kind words! I can't wait to see where the next year takes us!

So what are y'all doing to ring in the new year?? For the first time in years, I'm getting dolled up and heading out on the town. Bring on the sequins, bring on the sparkle, and bring on the best year yet!

A Pocketful of Polkadots

One of the patterns I love most is polka dots- I mean there is just something so innately cheerful in the circular little pattern! Now make those polka dots multi-colored and I just can't keep the smile off my face :) I thought this fun and cheerful look was the perfect way to end my outfit posts for 2014! I can't wait to share my new year's goals with y'all tomorrow (it's been so hard to decide on just a few!) and then it's onto 2015- and y'all I have a feeling it's going to be the best one yet! Cheers!

One Christmas Eve

I hope y'all had the merriest Christmas and enjoyed some sweet time with your families and friends! I LOVED being home for a few days and soaking in some precious time with my loved ones. I spent lots of quality time with those that matter most, and my heart is oh-so-happy!

So, in the continuing holiday spirit (and the fact that I'm in denial that Christmas is over) I'm excited to share what I wore for Christmas Eve this year! I am completely in love with this Dolly & George skirt I wore, and I have a fun story about it! I ran into my sweet friend Amy, who I work with, at the Junior League of Tampa's Holiday Market this year. She runs the most adorable custom baby boutique in her spare time and I loved all her designs! I picked up this skirt in a toddler size and half-jokingly said "can you make this in my size?!" Well Amy was up for the challenge (I was her first adult-size skirt) and it turned out perfect!! I can't thank Amy enough for designing this for me, and I hope y'all check out her adorable shop (you'll love it!) :)

Sunday Scripture

I think this word, "rejoice" fits in perfectly with the spirit of the season we are in! Christmas is always a reminder of all the reasons I have to rejoice - the love of a wonderful family, the support of fabulous friends, the sweetest puppy-child in all the land, a career I adore, a community I'm proud to be a leader in, a blog I'm so proud of (and the best readers to boot) and most important of all… the love of a God who send his son to be our Savior. Is there any better reason to rejoice?? I think not friends!

I pray that today you too can rejoice in the many blessings, big and small, that are all around you!

Merry Christmas Y'all!

Merry Christmas y'all! Today is one of the most special days of the year to me- and no, not because of the presents! It's because today is filled with my family, and every memory I have of Christmas is filled with love & warmth as my family pauses to celebrate and reflect on the birth of our Savior. What a tremendous blessing we have been given by the Lord in his son, Jesus. And further, what a tremendous blessing we have been give in each other. I pray that today brings you so much joy and so much love!

Extreme Makeover: Blog Edition

Y'all!! I can't even pretend to contain my excitement (or the copious amount of happy dances) that are going on with me right now!! As you can clearly see, Girl Meets Bow got a HUGE makeover last night and I couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out!

I've been wanting to "make over" the blog for awhile, so that when you came and visit it felt 100% like you were really hanging out with me (sparkly bows & shopaholic tendencies and all)! When I came across Ash from The Grits Blog I knew I had found the perfect designer to bring my vision to life! Ash was extremely easy to work with, available to answer questions whenever I needed, and super sweet! Plus she kept me in the loop throughout the process so I always knew how things were progressing. I can't thank her enough for the AMAZING job that she did! Y'all I so very highly recommend her!

Feel free to search around the new site, and let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your feedback!

Merry early Christmas to Girl Meets Bow :) And Merry Christmas Eve to y'all!

Holiday Buffalo Plaid

Y'all I am so in the holiday spirit these days I can barely stop my self from saying "Merry Christmas" to everyone I see!! I'm headed home to see my family today and Buddy and I are both doing a happy dance about it (he loves Christmas as much as his mama!) With so much going on, and so much cheer to spread, I'm going to keep it short and sweet. I wore this look recently and I feel in love with the subtle pattern mixing and the christmas-y feel of this vest! I have tons of ideas of how to remix it soon- but for now I'm going to enjoy how much I love this one! :)

Pink + Herringbone

Can you believe Christmas is in THREE days?? I am so thankful that I finished all my shopping and wrapping this weekend, so now it's just packing for home and relaxing with my family! Time to enjoy my most favorite time of year!

Winter is well known as the time of the year when women pull out all their black clothing. And although I do love some classic black, when the sun is already setting at 5 pm and the weather can be dreary, why not spice up your basic black with hot pink and turquoise? At least that is my theory! :) I love all the colors in this outfit- I think it's the perfect combination of brights and definitely makes a winter day much more cheerful! How to you brighten a winter day?

Sunday Scripture

I absolutely love this quote! Even though it is not a "scripture verse" per se, it sure challenges my heart like it is one. The concept of grace always humbles me in a way that no other word does. When I think of the sins that fill my life, and that our sweet Lord forgives every single one, how in the world can I withhold that same blessing from others?

Whenever I am tempted to hold a grudge, or hold onto anger, I remember the grace and forgiveness that I have been given and share that with others (often easier said than done- but so good for the soul).

I hope these words inspire you today- especially in the light of the celebration of Christmas that is coming in T-4 days! eek! Can't wait to celebrate the true spirit of the season!!

Thanks for stopping by y'all!

Currently Obsessing Over… {v. 18}

Pretty inspiring advice curated by RoC and @PureWow

Is it just me, or was anyone else having a hot mess of a week? I just couldn't seem to get it together! I was so swamped I didn't even have time to look at my planner and kept double-booking myself… talk about holiday- brain! I really looking forward to a short work-week and lots of Christmas relaxation to get myself back on track!

Here's some things that are making me smile in the craziness of this week…

Y'all I had the best night last night! I was able to meet up with the sweetest local blogger, Jessica of Ivory Sunshine, and we chatted shop & life and had so much fun! It's amazing to think that the blogging community can bring people together like that- and I am so thankful for opportunities like these!

Now on to today's look… I think we can all agree that a Little Black Dress is the wardrobe must-have of all wardrobe must-haves. So it only makes sense then that mine would be from my favorite designer ever, Tracy Negoshian, right?! Like everything else Tracy designs, this dress is super comfortable and I love that it is made out of a thicker-knit ponte fabric so all your lumps and bumps aren't hanging out! Plus I can think of about, oh, 100000000 different ways to style it! Talk about a winner!

Southern Doe

You know what it's like to fall in love right? It fast and it's easy, and you wake up one morning and wonder how you ever lived without it. That's exactly how I felt when I learned about Southern Doe at the Junior League of Tampa's Holiday Market! Kristen, the founder of Southern Doe, wanted to create a line of outdoor apparel for women, so we didn't have to borrow from the boys anymore- and boy did she succeed! I love the uniquely southern phrases on each tee, and that they have so much personality in them. This tee I chose just spoke to my heart right now and I love wearing it for those errand filled days as I'm prepping for Christmas! Check out Southern Doe and let me know which one is your favorite- I'm sure it will be hard to choose!

Style Tour of Florida: Winter Wear

Y'all I have such a fun treat in store for you today!! A few weeks ago one of my readers requested some ideas for how to dress in Florida during the winter since she's moving down from the north. I gave her some of my personal ideas here, but was able to take it a step further by teaming up with some fabulous Florida bloggers who are sharing their ideas today! I can't wait for you to see all of our style ideas - and hopefully inspire some of your own :)

Upbeat Soles // Stylish Adventures With AL // Fashion A Bella

When it comes to dressing in a "warm" climate (because it sure feels chilly to me!) I think that the trick is to layer up and have pieces to rotate. If you start with a sweater as your base and then add on scarves and vests, you will be sure to reach your right combination of warm! I also love keeping a beanie in my bag as well (if your ears are warm the rest of you is sure to be too)!

Gifting Made Easy: For Your Furry Friend

I absolutely love being a dog mom- there is nothing better in the world than the love my sweet boy, Buddy, gives to me every day! Even on the toughest days, he runs to me when I walk in the door and gives me lots of sloppy kisses to cheer me up! Some of my favorite gifts to date have been ones I've received for Buddy, from him (he's a great shopper), or about him. So I thought today I would share some of my favorite gifts for the special furry friend in your life!

Striped Dog Collar // Bone Charm // Striped Leash // Dog Christmas Cookies (these are Buddy tested & approved) // Nautical Dog Bowl // Leopard Plush Bone // Nautical Dog Beds // Camo Puffer Vest (Buddy looks so handsome in his!) // "Dog Mom" Coffee Mug

Books in My Basket

If there is anything you never  always wanted to know about me, I bet it's what a bookworm I am! Am I right?! ;) Well it is the truth, I absolutely can't get enough of the book section and spend way too much time at the local library and bookstore. And what better place is there to store your books than a big wicker basket?? :) I'm about to start "Shopaholic to the Stars" but would love to hear if you have any great recommendations! Leave your suggestions/favorite books in the comments below!

Brrrr... It's Cold Outside!

With temperatures dropping it's time to bundle up! But with Christmas gifts to buy (and only 2 weeks left to do it!) I think we can all agree that bundling up on a budget would be best ;) So today I rounded up my favorite & most colorful items, under $50, to keep you warm this winter! Enjoy… because baby it's cold outside!

Multi-Colored Infinity Scarf // Pink Pouf Beanie (my favorite) // Orange Headband (under $10!) // Love Gloves // Striped Socks // Grey Infinity Scarf // Lollipop Socks // Pink Twist Knit Headband // Leopard Slippers (I wear mine everyday in winter!) // Happy Scarf (so cheerful!)

Thanks for stopping by y'all!

It's hard to believe that what started as an "I wish…" has turned into a creative space that I love and cherish. I cannot thank each of you, my readers, enough for coming each day to visit, for your encouraging words, for the friendships that have blossomed and the joy you have given me! And to my friends and family that have been behind me since the beginning (and were my only readers for awhile) - THANK YOU. Those are two words that mean everything. I cannot wait to see what year two has in store- I have a feeling it is going to be fabulous! :)
