Happy Friday friends! We've made it through another week- and can you believe that next week we will have made it to October?! This year is seriously flying by! It was sure a long week, but here are some things that I'm currently obsessing over in the midst of the craziness…

Turquoise and Teal

Somewhere between the beginning of summer and now, I've fallen in love with the easy combination of a flowy blouse + shorts. Y'all it has seriously become my uniform over the past four months! And the great bonus of this combo- it looks like you tried even though it only took you 5 minutes to get dressed. Score! (And you know if my girl Tracy Negoshian is designing any of your pieces your going to feel like a million bucks too!)

If there is one thing I love about the fall it's riding boots, but if there's one thing I also dread it's finding boots that fit! Unfortunately I have a wee bit of a wider-calf so it's sometimes rather difficult for me to find stylish boots each season. If you have a wide-calf too, I've rounded up my favorite styles for you this season. And even if you don't need a special size, all these styles come in regular-calf too :) Happy shoe hunting!

Neutral Territory

My venture into neutral territory last week inspired me to try out this subtle color-combination again- and y'all I'm digging it! I scored this Loft ensemble for under $100 a few weeks ago by combining some rewards points and such and I'm so glad I tried these "new to me" colors! I love this look so much I wore it at Junior League conference and then 2 days later at work (#nojudgement)!

Straight-Laced

Happy Monday friends! I hope that you had enjoyable and relaxing weekends! I volunteered at a wonderful local non-profit called "The Kind Mouse" packing backpacks for children that don't eat over the weekends. It was such a rewarding and heartwarming morning! There is seriously no better feeling than giving your time to those who need it most. I also got to celebrate my friend Amy's birthday which was so much fun! :)

Now on to today's look… this dress is the perfect "twofer" piece for your wardrobe! It is lightweight enough to wear on a summer night with sandals, but I can see it pairing perfectly with riding boots for the fall. I'm so sad to say it is sold out (I got it over the summer at C. Wonder in NY) but I linked some very cute and similar options below for you! Or can can stalk it on eBay! :)

Isn't this the perfect motivation for the last day of our workweeks? I've been diving back into my Bible study on "The Circle Maker," and the lesson I keep coming back to is that seeing our prayers answered is a combination of heart and hustle. It is praying to our Sweet Lord and putting in our own hard work. Heart & hustle, heart & hustle...

Pink Gingham

If you've been following along with me on Instagram (and if not, sign up here :) ) then you know I was in Nashville this past weekend for Junior League Fall Leadership Conference- and what a fun time I had!! This was my first time in Nashville, and it was such a cool city! For starters, we stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel- and it was AMAZING! There were three different sets of indoor forests/botanical gardens and they were beautiful! This was the coolest hotel I ever got to stay in! We also got to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, as well as spending some fun nights out on Broadway. All this exploring while learning new and powerful leadership skills- Whew! 

This outfit was what I wore for the first day of conference. I loved the comfort factor + the bright colors that helped me stand out. You can never go wrong with pink when making a positive first impression! :)

A Little Ruffle

I know fashion is turing towards fall but I just can't let go of the last sweet days of summer! Luckily in that respect the sun is definitely cooperating- as you can see in the bight lights of these pictures :) We all know that maxi dresses are the best staples, but I love that the little ruffle across the top of this dress gives it that little "something extra"! How are you soaking in the last days of the season?

Unexpected Places

Sometimes our fashion finds can come in the most unexpected places… like the little girls section at Target! I was seeking out the denim pom pom top that girls were all abuzz about when this little pink number caught my eye- I love the unexpected ruffle detail in the back! It was too cute to pass up for under $10! For size reference I am a 4/6 and I got this top in an XL (which is a 14/16 in girls). Where have some of your best, unexpected fashion finds been?

As I mentioned yesterday, fall fashion is on the horizon (although unfortunately NOT in the air here in the South!) Houston, We Don't Have a Problem

Now that summer is saying its final goodbyes and making way for fall, it's that awkward transition time where I crave jeans and sleeves, but its just not practical! This outfit is the perfect compromise, allowing hints of fall while still being mindful of the persistent heat.
