One Fish, Two Fish

Romper: Tracy Negoshian (on sale for 50% off!) || Earrings: RJ Graziano (option here) || Apple Watch with this band || Sandals: c/o Oka-B

Woo-hoo for Friday my sweet friends! What better way to celebrate than a fish-print romper and some fun tassel sandals? I can't think of a better way! :)

Pretty soon it's going to be all layers & cardigans & sweaters up in the blog scene... so I'm savoring my fish-prints as long as possible! I've been heart-eyed for this romper forever, so when I saw it on sale for 50% off - I jumped! The good news is it is fully in stock still for y'all to scoop up too. (How can anyone resist those turquoise fish buttons?!) I just got some new Oka-B's in the mail, and I thought the tassels were such a fun compliment to the piece as well; whimsy on whimsy? I'm in!

White Romper for Gameday!

White Romper: Boutique in Anna Maria (similar option) || Sandals: Sam Edelman Gigi || Earrings: c/o Gameday Glam || Apple Watch with this band || Pearl Bracelet: c/o Gameday Glam

Happy Thursday friends!

So, I finally got in to Friday Night Lights a few weeks ago after a friend recommended it to me (thanks Asha) but it's about to leave Netflix on Oct. 1 so I've been binge-watching like crazy to make sure I finish in time! Only 12 more episodes to go... wish me luck! Oh, and any suggestions on what to watch next?

Next week I am headed to Gainesville for the Gators homecoming game & to celebrate my best friend's birthday! I am SO stinking excited to be back at my favorite place with some of my favorite people and have been working on the perfect outfit to wear (of course)! I love the crisp look of a white romper- you can pair it with any color for a team-appropriate look (do you see all the blue I paired it with here?) Of course I had to add a little "glam" with some of my favorite new pieces from Gameday Glam! I just love a little sparkle, no matter what the occasion! Can't wait to show y'all my outfit that I will be cheering on my boys in!

8 Neutrals I'm Actually Excited About Wearing This Season

While bright colors and prints will ALWAYS be my jam, there is something about the rich textures and layers of fall that I do so enjoy getting the chance to style! Seeing how excited y'all were by this fall style post, I just knew there was more to share- so today we're chatting about the neutrals that I'm actually excited to wear!

What I'm getting pumped for this season is that designers are incorporating all the things we loved in Spring and Summer into our Fall pieces! Think ruffles, lace, off the shoulder, one shoulder and peplum incorporated into dreamy fall fabrics- just to name a few! An although it's not hot pink... I sure do love mixing crisp white blouses with moody olive or cranberry for fall's version of a bold look! This season I'm also seriously into jogger pants... I don't know what it is but they are totally calling my name! I think when styled with a cream sweater (like the one on the style board below) they are chic & relaxed (two ways I like to describe my fall style). Oh yeah, and I am also totally swooning for loafers (hello I might be 75!) but I unashamedly love them right now!

Fall Transitional Style

Dress: c/o Cabana Life || Booties: c/o Marley Lilly || Earrings: c/o Lisi Lerch || Seashell Clutch: Amazon || Apple Watch with this band

Welcome to a brand new week friends! This weekend could not have flown by any faster... whew! Sometimes I wish I could just add about 10 extra hours to my day- don't you? But, I worked on some seriously fun projects this weekend and I cannot wait to share them with y'all!

First up though, let's chat transitional style! I'm not going to spend the season droning on and on about how Florida is still SO HOT... but I am going to show you how I dress for it! Last year I finally got into the look of booties, and now this year it was the thing I was most excited to pull out of my closet for fall! But y'all, today's booties are not just your average pair... they are monogrammed!! I mean seriously, could they be any cuter?! What makes them even better is the monogrammed piece snaps on, and the boots come with two other attachments, so if you want to switch them out you have the freedom to. As long as the sun is still shining, I keep on loving my Cabana Life dresses! Even though this dress has sleeves, it's made of the best material that doesn't make you sweat at all! And every piece of clothing has a built in SPF50- so you're always protected! Finally, I have to mention my newest swoon-worthy tassel earrings! I can't believe it took me so long to try out statement earrings- they seriously make every outfit so much fun!

Row 4: Leopard Mules (under $40!)

Happy first day of fall y'all! I can't believe the time has already come to make the switch to a new season! FL has actually been slightly less humid this week, so while it is by no means fall weather- it's an improvement!

Workweek Chic: Navy & Lime

Skirt: J. Crew (fall version here) || Top: J. Crew || Wedges: Tory Burch (currently 20% off) || Apple Watch with this band || Earrings: Fab'rik (similar here) || Clutch: Shandy Style

Goodness y'all- I'm so sorry I've been MIA from this sweet space lately! I thought once I was back and settled from the Hurricane evacuations everything would fall into place, but nope! Definitely not the case!

However, I can slowly but surely feel myself finding my groove again and I'm thrilled to be doing it today and bringing you this fun work look! As I always say, you don't have to hide your personality (or love for color!) in the workplace- you can definitely let it shine! The easiest way to do it is with pieces like I am wearing today: a tank in a classic silhouette but a bright pop of color & a neutral skirt with flirty ruffles. Both of these pieces clearly express my personality but also are appropriate for the corporate retail office in which I spend all my 9-5 time.

Speaking of work- I have some HUGE things in the works (one of which starts today) so I would be so thankful if y'all could keep my in your prayers! I know that wasn't a lot of detail, but if it all works out I will have so much to spill! :)

How I Organize My Simplified Planner + My Review

You know when you're anticipating something for a really long time, and then it finally comes together and you just can't wait to tell everyone about it?! That's how I feel about today's post & sharing my Simplified Planner with y'all!

I take my planners very seriously, so when I went on the search for a new one I reviewed a LOT of options! I even reached out to y'all on Instagram and got about 100 suggestions- y'all are the best! I looked at each and everyone thoroughly, but ended up connecting with the Simplified Planner team at Emily Ley and moving forward with the Simplified Planner Daily Edition (in "Happy Stripe" of course!) Before I shared it with y'all though I wanted to take several weeks to use it so I could make an honest recommendation. So today's post has been awhile in the making- now let's get to it! :)

Sunday Scripture

I think a lot about this verse as a "fashion blogger." It is all to easy to get caught up in the hype that it is what I am wearing that defines me or my self worth. But the Lord tells us that this lie is just not true! What we should be putting on every day is compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, & patience. And I don't know about you, but I often forget one (or more) of these essential "outfit" pieces daily. So each morning as I pick out my dress, shoes, necklace I instead am going to start asking myself, "Did I put on my humility? Am I prepared with kindness? How can I share compassion?" Friends will you join me in "getting dressed" in the ultimate outfit this week- that of the Lord's will & teaching?

Praying that you have a wonderful week!

Love Thy Neighbor: Hurricane Irma Resources and Relief Efforts

Happy weekend friends! Today I am grateful to be able to share with you a comprehensive list of ways that you can help victims of Hurricane Irma. I feel extremely lucky that both my homes in St Pete and Orlando escaped major damage, but there are thousands of people who can not say the same. Our neighbors in Naples, the Carribbean, and the Keys have been devastated by this natural disaster and my heart's call is to do whatever I can to help, donate, and raise awareness. I am so grateful to see so many people step up to the plate and present so many opportunities for us to give back in whatever way we are able!

"Go, Fight, Win!" In the Ultimate Tailgating Dress

Dress: Borough || Sandals: Sam Edelman Gigi || Apple Watch with this band || Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne

As weird as it is to get back to "normal" after all the stress and worry about Hurricane Irma, after returning home to St Pete Tuesday night it seems like it's time to get back in the groove. I'm so thankful that my home here sustained no damages other than trees & branches down and still being without cable or internet (yep it makes blogging a challenge!!). With all the cell towers we lost too it's been impossible to even get 3G service in my apartment, so last night I had to stand in our back patio to post an Instagram- ha! The things we do for social media... :) I also wanted to make sure y'all knew I'm running a fun little giveaway on my Instagram! All you have to do is go to this post, be following me (here), and tag a friend in the comments. That's it! I'll pick a winner Fruday at noon to send a special surprise to for some happy hour cheer!

Checking In: Hurricane Irma Status Update

Hey friends! I am humbled, grateful, and thankful to be writing this post today. There are not enough ways for me to say THANK YOU to every single one of y'all for your prayers, DMs, comments, and messages throughout this unknown period of Hurricane Irma. I seriously felt the encouragement & hope from every single of them and they were immensely appreciated!

Since it has felt like #irmageddon has been the only thing on my mind for the past week, I thought I would check in today and let you know everything that happened and how I'm doing! (Spoiler Alert: all is good on the home front and I'm THANKFUL!)

Ps- this is certainly now going to be the most glamorous post ever, but it's about as honest as can be! (There's not many ways to be cute during a hurricane!)

Friends, it has been a LONG week. Preparing for Hurricane Irma has been a stressful, scary, and humbling experience.

Making Time for Him With Cleerely Stated

Stationary, Cards, and Devotionals c/o Cleerely Stated

Oh friends, what a week it is turing out to be! I will be honest, I had every intention of hopping on today and posting a "out of office, closed for Irma" message when I realized what grave danger my home state is in; but when the Lord puts a message on your heart, sometime you just have to heed the call! And truly, when I hear the reports of what is happening in the tropics with this hurricane, I know that the only source of protection and safety is in our sweet Lord.

So that's when I knew that I just had to share Cleerely Stated with y'all! As I'm sure you know if you've been here awhile, my faith is a very important part of my life. It is a contest journey that I am on, and to be honest it's also an ongoing struggle to carve out adequate time for. But every day I learn and grow in it- and find new ways to carve out time.

Unexpected Colors + You're Invited!

Tunic: Lush (40% off!) || Shorts: J. Crew Factory || Necklace: c/o Shop Market & King || Bracelets: c/o Shop Market and King || Sandals: Sam Edelaman Gigi || Apple watch with this band || Clutch: Nordstrom (sold out, super similar)

Do you ever just feel like doing something different? Trying something new? Being unexpected?

That was my exact feeling when I received this gorgeous turquoise jewelry from Market & King! I normally go the traditional route of wearing turquoise with white, or popping it with pink, but all of a sudden my brain started chanting "red, red, red!" So I listened :)

Both red & turquoise are such bold colors that they can almost be too much together, but the white tunic helped to break it up and now I think they compliment each other perfectly! Also, this tunic has quickly become a staple in my closet over the last year and it is 40% off! I can't recommend it enough if you are considering it! It's definitely long (i'm 5'4), but I love doing a half-tuck in the front to give it the perfect length!

July & August Book Reviews

Oh man y'all, I've kind of fallen off the reading wagon in a bad way the past two months and I've got a short book review to share with you today. I know it sounds kind of terrible, but I've just been so busy lately that when I do have those precious few minutes of free time, I usually just want to rest my brain and do/watch something totally mindless (#RealHousewives #BachelorInParadise). I think I just needed a great book to get me back in the habit- so do y'all have any reccomendations? Send them my way!

Date Night Style with Stella and Dot

Dress: Loft (old, super similar option) || Earrings: Stella and Dot c/o Amy Shearrer || Bracelet: Stella and Dot c/o Amy Shearrer || Clutch: Stella and Dot c/o Amy Shearrer || Sandals: Sam Edelman Gigi Sandals || Apple Watch with this band

You know that saying, "If you build it they will come?" Well that's kind of what I'm hoping happens with today's post- if I start dressing like I'm going out on dates- maybe it will jump start some dating karma?! #IsThatHowThisWorks ? Whew, y'all the discussion of my dating life is a long whole post in and of itself! ha. So today we'll just chat style :)

One of the things that is so fun about blogging is that it not only introduces you to new brands, but it often brings "old faithfuls" back to the top of your mind! That's exactly what happened to me when Amy reached out and wanted to chat about Stella and Dot's new fall collection. It had been awhile since I'd shopped Stella and Dot, but as soon as I saw all the gorgeous pieces coming out- I knew I'd be shopping them a whole lot more! To me, this luxurious clutch (isn't the embroidery gorgeous??) and the feathers cuff & watch were so unique and eye catching that I thought they would be perfect for date night! (You know that one that I'm not having tonight?! ha.)
