Pinch Me

Happy Monday y'all! I hope you had an awesome weekend! Mine was spent doing lots of volunteering- which is definitely a feel good way to spend your weekend :) Saturday I was out at 6 am (eek- so early!) supporting the Guardian Ad-Litem Superhero 5k with the Junior League and Sunday I volunteered at the first St Pete Wine and Food Festival (and then got to taste all the restaurants and wineries afterward)! It was a really fulfilling weekend. I also discovered the most delicious blueberry moscato - and that's a win all by itself in my book ;)

Today's look is one of those that almost made me giddy when I realized I had a perfectly matching scarf and clutch- that's a "pinch me" fashion moment! :) I'd been dying to style this scarf forever, but knew this look needed one more thing to complete it, so when I scored the clutch at the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale it was a match made in heaven!

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling pretty darn colorful this Friday! I couldn't even narrow down my Friday quote to just one- so you get double the fun today! I guess it could have something to do with the fact that I'm currently in New Orleans and having so much fun at Junior League Fall Leadership Conference! Endless Summer with All for Color

This weekend Florida got it's very first taste of fall and y'all it was SO GOOD! I actually walked Buddy without sweating to death and was able to wear sleeves- what a dream! :) I'm not pulling out my sweater collection just yet (it is still Florida after all) but I'm definitely enjoying these last few weeks of "summer" because sure enough a new season is coming! Can I get a whoop whoop?! 

Y'all know I'm all about supporting local business emerging designers and philanthropies, so I'm super excited that today's look features several amazing new companies! Life Lately

Hi Friends! Ever have a week where nothing goes according to plan?! That was totally this week for me! Work has gotten quite insane (lots of restructuring and cha-cha-changes happening) as well of lots of demands on my time for Junior League (a great thing!) and then throw in a wonderful first date and blogging just gets edged out sometimes. Oh yeah... and I'm still waiting for half my pictures to arrive in the mail! It's enough to make a girl say "ahhhhhhh" :) BUT the great news is that I have some fab posts for next week (tons of color and fun to share with y'all!) so thank you so much for hanging with me and I can't wait to see you next week! 

And hang in there if you're having one of "those" weeks too... there is a light at the end of the tunnel! :)

Rule Breaker: White After Labor Day

As of yesterday, women across the country were supposed to pack up their white clothing and say goodbye to its crisp, fresh color until next spring. But you know what y'all? That just doesn't work for me! I'm all about the quote, "If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun" and that includes styling a precious LWD (little white dress) after Labor Day!

Now normally I'm terrified of wearing white, because somehow every time I wear it I become a magnet for stains and dark liquids (red wine I'm looking at you!) but I couldn't resist the shape of this dress when I saw it at Loft. If you're a bride-to-be it would be perfect for any showers you have coming up! However this single gal decided to keep the summer vibes going with a denim jacket and nude wedges- breaking the rules in style!

My mom has been sending me devotionals lately (which I love, thanks mom!) and this one really struck me when I read it so I felt compelled to share it today. I think we all have moments when we struggle with feeling like we don't matter, or we are invisible, or we just aren't as valuable as everyone else. But friends, that is simply not true! God intimately knows each of us, and created us exactly as we are, because we each matter and have such a special purpose in live. Friend, if no one has said it lately: You are a most special somebody!

Resort 2016 Trend: Ruffle Alert

Be still my ruffle-loving heart! When I opened my Women's Wear Daily yesterday and saw the fabulous pink ruffle above, I just about fell over! Gorgeous much?! One of the trends that is going to be huge in Resort 2016 collections is ruffles, and this southern belle couldn't be happier! Ruffles are that perfect combination of flirty and sweet (depending on how you accessorize) and no matter what they add an air of whimsy to any look. This is how I feel about it: #givemeallofthem

Let's Cha Cha

My aunt is a huge fan of accessories, and while she loved the colors of this outfit, when we went to take these pictures she said it needed a "little something extra." So, we raided her basket of headbands and saw this flower beauty and BOOM! That was what this needed! I instantly felt ready to boogie (in fact half of these pictures ended up too blurry to post because I was twirling and dancing so much!) Sometimes all it takes is a statement-making accessory to take an outfit from run-of-the-mill to extra-special!

No Frill, No Fun

I'm so excited to be back in action with a new look for you today! If you don't know, my photographer (my Aunt) and I get together about once a month and shoot all my looks for the next month. But due to some busy schedules on both our ends, we haven't gotten together on almost 6 weeks, so I've been struggling because I ran out of pictures! But I'm happily restocked with some fabulous new styles that I can't wait to share!! I wish I could share them all at once! 

I've mentioned the adorable Frill Boutique before so it's pretty fun styling this dress for you! I jazzed it up for date night with wedges and a colorful clutch. It's perfect for those end-of-summer date nights (of which I just had a super fun one! *fingers crossed* for more!) 

PS- Are we loving this sparkly headband?! I'm trying to break out of my hair-styling rut by jazzing up my look! I wear it straight every day, so adding this headband gave me a little "something extra" for my date-night look! :)
