Happy Thursday Friends! I'm so happy tomorrow's Friday and we have a loooong weekend- I sure need one! My family is coming to visit for the weekend and I am so excited to take them around my neck of the woods; we're definitely going to "play tourist"! 

What fun plans do y'all have for Labor Day Weekend? Going to hit up the sure-to-be-amazing sales? I wish I could join you but I am going strong on my spending freeze and I refuse to break! ha!

Merry Mermaids

I'm so excited to share with you one of my first After-Party sale purchases! I'm obsessed with my Skipper Pullovers and this Kingsley Crew is the same material, only in a crew neck sweatshirt (hello awesome)! I sized up in this because I like a little extra room when it comes to loungewear- but it is definitely true to size if you are interested in ordering. 

Also, it was not cool outside when taking these pictures, not even in the slightest (hello 98 degree heat index)! But I was so excited to start talking fall transition pieces that I couldn't wait to share it with y'all!  It will most definitely be a go-to piece when the weather starts to cool… but for now it is going to rest in my closet :) ha!

Recipe Box: Pepperoni Chicken

I thought it would be fun today to share a super-yummy recipe that is easy-peasy to whip up and tastes oh-so-good! (PS- it's a bonus that the men love it too)! 

I first made this recipe in college with my best girls. One of my besties, Emily, loved to have her mom come visit for girl's weekends. And we all loved it because Mrs. Carmen was a GREAT cook- which meant lots of yummies for us!! This recipe was a Mrs. Carmen original, and I think you will all agree that is a favorite for everyone in your life. Hope you enjoy as much as we do!

Being a girl is just so much fun sometimes! I mean, who else gets to wear chevron-printed seahorse dresses?! Nothing says, "I'm at the beach" more than this adorable little number!

Happy Tuesday y'all! Are we all recovered from the AMAZING Lilly Pulitzer After-Party sale yesterday?! I definitely bought a few more things than I budgeted for… but with deals that fab can you blame me?? :) 

The Lilly sale was a definite reminder that summer is winding down (even if the Florida temps aren't), and this easy outfit is perfect for soaking up the last of the sun's rays. Flower Power

Alright ladies, let's talk about one majorly taboo subject… the one we ALL dread. The one that makes us what to curl up and just go back to bed. You know what I'm talking about… "fat days". Let's be real, we all have them. Those days when we just feel chubby and nothing looks right (even though 24 hours before we felt sexy and skinny). We know it's a head thing but it feels like a mirror thing, right?!

Well ladies this is the dress that will make you feel f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s even on the very worst "fat day"! The neon pink is an instant mood brightener and it hides every single lump and bump! It's a winner in every way! What do you do when you are feeling less than stellar?

Sometimes I have that terrible female habit of overcomplicating things- reading too much into situations, over thinking decisions, and just plain making things harder. That's why I am thankful that there are dresses like this, that on the most complicated days keep life simple. I am obsessed with this easy shift! Anchored at the Beach

I can't believe it is Monday again… they just seem to sneak up so fast these days! I had such a fun weekend with my girlfriends seeing "Legally Blonde: The Musical" and getting my sister ready for her first day of school (can't believe she'll be a Junior!) Now it's back to my weekly routine… :)

And speaking of routines, it's pretty standard to have another nautical outfit to share isn't it?! I just love these anchor pants (a steal from J.Crew factory) and adding a breezy tank was the perfect after-dinner attire while at the beach. You can't beat a classic navy + white combo!

Pineapple Princess

As i'm sure y'all are aware, pineapples have been everywhere this season! From t-shirts to tanks to skirts and accessories there was no escaping this motif. Well I was not immune to the charm of this print either, and when I spotted it on Tracy Negoshian's website I fell in love! And then, luck of all luck this beauty popped up at her sample sale last week! Score! I can't wait to style this tunic for fall as well- I think with boots and jeans it will be perfect for that "transition time" that is drawing nearer by the day :)

Masqued Bach

After all the fun of Cherysh's Derby Bridal Shower, us girls switched gears and jazzed it up for her Bachelorette night- a Mardi Gras themed Masqued Bach! It was super fun to put on a fabulous mask and celebrate a hot-hot-hot bride to be! We celebrated at Taverna Opa, which is just about the most fun restaurant on the planet- where else do they encourage you to dance on the table and throw napkins at you shouting "opa"?!

 One of my sweet college girlfriends is getting' hitched and all us gals gathered last weekend to celebrate Cherysh + David! Her adorable bridal shower was Derby themed and we all had so much fun in our biggest hats and best dresses! Cher bear we love you and can't wait to make you a M-R-S in October!

She Sells Sea Shells

When you have the perfect dress for the perfect occasion, doesn't it make for the BEST DAY EVER?! I'd been saving this dress for the "perfect" time and it finally came along when I went to the beach a few weekends ago. Come on now… sand dollars and seashells? It was a match made in heaven!
