Was it just me or was this a doozy of a week? Maybe it's that weird funk that happens in February where it feels like the month both raced by and lasted forever, but something felt a little "off" for me. Or it could be the high levels of stress I'm under… that might have something to do with it! 

Luckily I have a super-fun weekend planned filled with some of my favorite girls!! Tonight I'm headed out for dinner and drinks with some of my fellow Dancin' Gators from college (it's been too long girls!) and then tomorrow I'm headed to a swim event with Land's Ends in the morning before trekking to Orlando for a  baby shower with all my college besties! Sunday it's the Junior League's Tea Party and Fashion Show & i'm modeling in it! Whew! I'm exhausted thinking about it all, but can't wait to see all my friends! :) 

So let's get to all the things that made me smile real big in the midst of this crazy week...

Resort Ready with Barbara Gerwit

This past week was the coldest Florida has faced this "winter" and it was a chilly one y'all! So as soon as the warmth began to return, I made a choice… I was dressing for Spring whether the weather agreed or not! I mean, it's pretty much a scientific fact that if you dress for it, it will come- right?! ;)

So, now that I'm on a one-woman campaign to bring the Spring, these was no better brand to get colorful in than the fabulous Barbara Gerwit! You can find Barbara Gerwit in resorts and boutiques throughout the Sunshine State and I am always attracted to her bright prints and patterns! A bonus for this Gator girl is that this dress is perfect for football games in the Swamp- now that is a win-win! :) So what do you think, are you feeling Spring coming on?!

Oscar Fashion Favorites

Did you catch the Oscars on Sunday night? Let's be real… I was only watching for the Red Carpet, and I think the stars dazzled! There was so much beautiful to look at- and each celeb seemed more stunning than the other! Here's a roundup of my favorites from the night:

Weekending

I've never really done a "weekend recap" before, but I always have fun reading them on some of my other favorite blogs, so I thought it would be fun to share mine today! I had a wonderful weekend with my girlfriend Stephanie who came to visit from freezing Chicago! Florida totally turned on the charm for her and she got a gorgeous weekend of 70 degree weather and lots of sunshine (#thanksFlorida)! 

First up on the agenda? Manicures! I never take the time to get my nails done, so when Steph suggested it I was totally game! We stopped next door at Starbucks (the new Tiramisu Latte is TDF!) and settled in for a super relaxing afternoon pampering :)

Although this isn't specifically a scripture verse, I love this quotes gentle reminder of the power of prayer and it's purpose. Prayer isn't about making our lives easier and without problems, it's about giving us the courage to make it through the challenges that come along in life. Sometimes it can be hard to see, but God never leaves us alone. He never lets us falter. Most excitingly, through prayer, we can ask him for strength that we may not feel we possess. Thank the Lord for that hope!

There is so much to pop, fizz, & clink about this Friday (besides the fact that the weekend is here)! One of my best gal pals, Stephanie is flying in today from Chicago for a fun girls weekend! We're going to kick off the weekend by getting our nails done and then shopping and catching up to our heart's content! I'm so looking forward to having some girl time and relaxation! Can't wait to share some pictures from our fun weekend! :)

Now on to what's got me obsessing this week (and if you make it to the end there may be something in it for y-o-u! :) See? This Friday is seriously the best!

Girl's Night Out

I wore this outfit a few weekends ago for a fun girls night out with some of my Junior League gal pals and it was perfect for the cool breezy evening. I love the bright colors (#bigsurprise) and was so excited to carry my new bow clutch! My mom got me this clutch for Christmas (#thanksmamma) and it coordinated perfectly with this look! Don't you just love it when an outfit falls into place? :) What's your favorite GNO look?

Keep it Southern, Keep it Classy

Hey y'all! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Spring is turning out to be a crazy, busy time for me & preparing for the presidency next year (and all the retreats for my new leaders) is a pretty insane time commitment! So I took my day off to take lots of new blog photos (y'all are going to LOVE them!!) and catch up on my emails/planning for Junior League! Plus, one of my favorite gal pals, Stephanie, is coming into town this weekend to visit so I deep-cleaned my apartment in preparation! I'm so excited to see her and her adorable lil baby bump- she's the cutest mamma-to-be! Eek! 

And whether you worked or played yesterday, I hope that there was a little bit of relaxation thrown in. Speaking of relaxation, Jadelynn Brooke is becoming my absolute go-to brand for relaxing in! They are three adorable sisters based out of Texas who have created to perfect lifestyle brand for the modern, preppy, Southern girl (like moi! :) ) Think anchors, plaid, and a whole lot of pink- in one word… Perfection!

Currently Obsessing Over... {v. 23}

We've made it to another Friday y'all, and a Friday the 13th no less! It's a high of 55 degrees today, so by Florida standard it's freezing!! brrrrr!! 

I'm pretty excited to celebrate Valentine's day tomorrow, and whether you are celebrating Valentines or Galentines Day I hope you have a most wonderful party and feel so loved! There is so much fun stuff popping around the web, so I am super excited to share all my weekly obsessions with you!

Oh Shift!

Y'all I can't resist a good pun, or anything pink & green, so put them both together and you know it was pretty much love at first sight with this sweater! I crack up every year when Lilly's site crashes during their twice yearly sales and you get the inevitable "oh shift! we broke the internet" message- so I love that they embraced the tongue-in-cheek on the front of this sweater! It sure makes winter so much brighter, doncha think?!

Spring Style with rue21

When I was in college, my girlfriends and I absolutely loved going to Destin, FL for spring breaks and summer getaways. It was an easy 5 hour drive (which flies by when when your with your besties) and every time we went those tripes became some of my favorite memories. We'd lay out on the beach all morning, shop all afternoon, and enjoy fun nights out- the perfect vacations in my book!

You know how stores and sights can conjure up those beloved memories? That's what happens every time I pass a rue21! Theres a great shopping area right across from the beach in Destin, and before we'd hit the beach we'd stop in rue21 to pick up cover-ups, flip flops, and new swimsuits before we hit the sand. It kind of became a ritual for us! So now, every time I see the black and white logo I'm taken back to those carefree days of college with the girls who are my best friends for life!

Today I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorite rue21 looks for hitting the sand, and shopping after (Since it's what we loved to do the most)!

That's a Wrap

I've written before how I think these Lush Wrap Dresses from Nordstroms are the cutest everyday dresses and are perfect for work and play. Printed Dress + Fur Vest

Happy Monday y'all! I'm sorry I kind-of dropped off the radar on all social media fronts the past few days. It was the Junior League's Whale of a Sale (our biggest fundraiser of the year) and I spent Thursday-Saturday volunteering all day and then Sunday recovering! It was a great weekend and a fabulous event- but I was spent from all that work! Huge congrats to the ladies of the committee on an amazing event!! 

Now onto today's look! I'd been on the hunt for the perfect fur vest all season, and when home for Christmas I stumbled across this one from Sophie and Trey- I just love this store! It was the perfect fit and exactly what I'd been looking for! I love pairing it with this dress for a fun look that would be perfect for drinks with the gals. Plum Paper Planner Review

I have been so extremely excited to share today's post with you, my Plum Paper Family Planner for 2015-2016 review! It's taken me awhile to put it all together because I wanted it to be just perfect to share with you! And I wanted to get used to it, since it's so different from any planner I have used before! Let's get started shall we… :)

Design wise,  I chose this orange and lime quatrefoil print cover (which is much softer in color in person than it appears in pictures) for several reasons: 

1) I carry my planner in my purse every day, and most other covers had a white background (can you say "dirty")

2) It has a monogram (I mean... duh)

3) It reminded me of my beloved Florida Gators :)

Size-wise, I would compare the planner to the Lilly Pulitzer Medium Size Agenda, just with out the hard cover and slightly lighter weight.

Like most planners, the Plum Paper Planner has a fabulous monthly overview 2-page spread. I adore the size of the spaces- there is so much room to write! There's also room to jot down birthdays and events in the month. I have a color code for my monthly commitments and then write in my gym class schedule.

I Like the Way You Work It

Since I spend 40+ hours a week in my office, I thought it was only fitting that I share a work look with you! Although my office is quite fashionable, and one can get away with quite a lot (we are a Fasion HQ after all!) some days I really love keeping it classic. I fell hard for this J. Crew tassel top when I saw it online, and knew it would be perfect to jazz up my workweek look! Speaking of jazz, lately I'm loving adding a Bourbon and Bowties bangle (or two or three) to my wrist to add a little extra personality. Working in a cubicle doesn't have to mean sacrificing your style- how to you spice up your look at the office?

Peasant Dress

Is there anything better than an easy breezy dress that you can toss on and tackle the day in? No? Glad we're on the same page y'all! This dress is just that, for me. It's simple, it's comfy, and I don't feel frumpy running all over town in it. I would say that's pretty much a winner! What's your throw-and-go look?

I love love love this verse! It's so easy to focus on imperfections, but I think that God calls us to look for the best in others- because that is what he sees in us despite our flaws and sins. Our sweet Lord never looks at us and sees dirt, he only sees gold. Doesn't that give you so much comfort friends?
