Dear Santa...

Jacket: Loft (sold out, almost exact) || Tee: Zuilly (gift) || Shorts: J. Crew Factory || Tote Bag: c/o Honeymoon Hats || Sunglasses: c/o Diff Eyewear || Shoes: Converse || Apple Watch with this band

I feel like today's post has to come with a big disclaimer, something along the lines of "I'm not a crazy nut... it really is 85 degrees in Florida & shorts are all that don't make me sweat!" (Or you know, something like that!) ;)

Last Sunday some of my favorite gal pals and I did a peddle pub boat ride called "Kraken" here in St Pete and I knew between the sun and the peddling I would need to stay cool- so out came the shorts! I added this hilarious tee that my bestie, Abby, got for me for Christmas (she so knows my love of early 2000s hip hop) and of course this "Dear Santa" bag was the perfect finishing touch. Megan is SO talented and makes the cutest hats and bags for every occasion! They are the most festive touch!

Last Minute Holiday Look + My Favorite Netflix Christmas Movies

Off the Shoulder Top: Loft (only $10!!!) || Pants: Loft || Earrings: c/o The Knotty Tassel || Heels: Target || Clutch: Nordstrom || Apple Watch with this band

Happy Monday sweet friends! Can you believe we are in the one week countdown until Christmas?! I'm kind of freaking out over here (so many gifts still to get!) - I even have a holiday party tonight that I STILL don't have a gift for or a dish that I need to make. Yeah, I'm well aware that it's less than 12 hours away! #NotEnoughHoursInTheDay #OrWeekend

Two Holiday Looks to Win Your Next Soiree

I don't know about y'all, but one minute my December calendar was nice and light on commitments- and the next it was FULL of parties, luncheons, gift exchanges, and celebrations! Now, don't get me wrong, I love the season of celebrating and spending time with all my favorite people, but inevitably I start to panic about finding the perfect outfit for each occasion (#FirstWorldProblem - I know!)

Luckily, I found Julie Brown NYC just in time to avoid panic this year! What I love the most about this collection is that we share the same affinity for bright colors & bold prints- even in the winter- so picking out holiday looks that match my style personality was so much fun!

Let's Bundle Up!

Sweater: J. Crew Factory || Jeans: J. Crew Toothpick || Monogrammed Duck Boots: c/o Marley Lilly || Blanket Scarf: Marley Lilly || Apple Watch with this band

Happy Monday love bugs! How was your holiday weekend? I was home with my family until Saturday and it was such fun to spend some quality time with them. My sister was home from college at University of Florida and I loved getting to catch up and hear all her stories- it made me miss being 19! I was also proud of my self-control during Black Friday... there were so many good sales but I was responsible and only picked up a few deals that were too good to miss! And then of course I started checking people off my Christmas list- I'm determined to not wait until the last minute this year (#WishMeLuck).

So now we're here- beginning another new week (#SendCoffee) and getting back into our "normal" routines! I'm pretty excited that the temps have dropped for a few days and it means that I can bundle up (that's pretty novel here in FL!) :) I'm still in love with blanket scarves and so glad that they are no longer just "trend" and are now a seasonal staple! My new favorite winter accessory though is my monogrammed duck boots from Marley Lilly!! I have always wanted to add a pair to my closet, but hesitated to pull the trigger until this pair rolled up into my life! Now? I'm obsessed! This particular pair was a gift with purchase during Marley Lilly's Black Friday promotion, but luckily they have a few other adorable pairs in stock (and I kind of want to order another pair!) :)

Holiday Party Style with Caroline Dawn

Top: c/o Caroline Dawn || Jeans: J. Crew Toothpick || Earrings: c/o Lisi Lerch || Clutch: c/o Vera Bradley || Heels: Target (old, similar here)

The season of holiday parties is here- Just this week alone I got three invitations for the coming few weeks, and I know there are more on the way! I don't know about you, but the first thing I start to think about is, "What am I going to wear?!" since we all know how many pictures are going to be taken! But, being a gal on a budget, that's why I want to pick and choose the pieces I pick up for the holidays. Enter this pretty & sweet Caroline Dawn Harper top! Founded in Charleston, you can definitely see the southern influence in her collection - and y'all know thats right up my alley!

I paired this look with jeans & heels, but you could easily add booties or tall boots when the temps (finally) drop! Oh, and just a fun note about this pretty clutch: It's RFID capable, so you don't have to worry about people walking by and scanning your credit cards (which happens more often than you think). It's also got more pockets & spaces to keep you organized than any other clutch in my wardrobe- definitely add it to your Christmas list!

Happy November: My First Holiday Outfit of the Season!

Vest: c/o Marley Lilly || Plaid Shirt: J. Crew Factory || Jeans: J. Crew Toothpick || Booties: Vince Camuto (old, similar here) || Monogram Necklace: Moon & Lola || Apple Watch with this band

It's the first day of November & the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year! There's a chill in the air, Christmas decorations hitting the shelves, & a hum of festive spirit that I can't get enough of. The next two months are going to be so much fun y'all!

Another Day, Another Holiday Party

Top: Loft (sold out, similar here and here) // Jeans: Loft // Boots: Lucky Ritten Boots (color is "brindle suede") // Clutch: Marley Lilly (sold out, similar) // Necklace: Moon and Lola "G" Charm & Moon and Lola Pearl Charm

We may only be five (!!!) days from Christmas, but that doesn't mean my social calendar has gotten any less busy! In fact, I have drinks with a friend from Charlotte tonight, lunch & gift exchange with my bestie on Thursday, and a cocktail & gift exchange night with my high school besties Friday- not to mention Christmas Eve and Christmas day! Whew! My wardrobe has been working overtime to make sure I'm dressed for all these fun and festive occasions.

This season I've been loving understated looks that can be multi-purposed after the rush of holiday parties is through. I actually wore this top to work last week with cuffed dark denim and nude wedges and it was a hit at the office :) Love that this is a season-less look!

Dressed Up Denim for the Holidays

Top: Loft (sold out, almost exact here) // Denim: Loft // Wedges: c/o Oka-B (updated pair) // Necklace: Ranjana Kahn (option here) // Clutch: Old Navy (similar)

With the holidays here, the party invitations have started rolling in and this girl definitely needs to keep her wardrobe budget in check! So one thing I love doing is remixing my classics (like my trusty pair of darkwash denim) with a dressy top and glamorous necklace for extra jazz! One thing I can't pop fizz clink without? My Oka-B wedges! When I'm milling around, sipping on champs and chatting with the neighbors, the last thing I want is my feet to ache! Especially when the tunes get rocking and I'm ready to dance :) I can personally vouch that this outfit will last as long as you can!

Trend Spin Link Up Co-Host: Fall Colors

Walking in Memphis in High Heels // The Fashion Canvas // Girl Meets Bow

Black Tunic: Lush (under $30) // Pants: Lilly Pulitzer Travel Pants (limited sizes, almost exact) // Vest: Sophie & Trey (old, almost exact here) // Boots: Sam Edelman Penny Boot // Necklace: HSN (similar here) // Apple Watch

Whew- we made it through Monday y'all! Coming off a holiday weekend into a full work week is not for the faint of heart! ha.

Well on to happier things, like this festive look that's perfect for casual holiday gatherings (of which I have a TON coming!) I'm going to make a pretty bold statement... this might be one of my all-time favorite looks I've shared here on the blog! It might have something to do with the fact that when I put it on my aunt/photog said, "You look rich in that!" (insert crying/laughing emoji)- but seriously who doesn't want to look like a million bucks?! :) There is something about a fur vest that just makes me feel like it is the holiday season, and paired with the black on black tunic + pants it does lend itself to an interesting and yes, rich, pallet of colors! The only accessory you need? A Starbuck #redcup of course! ha.

What to Wear for Thanksgiving + HUGE Sale News!

Sweater: c/o Romwe // Pants: Lilly Pulitzer (I live in these during the winter!) // Boots: Sam Edelman Penny // Clutch: Old Navy (sold out, love this option) // Apple Watch // Bangles: Bourbon & Bowties // Necklace: Real Collectables (option here too)

Y'all I couldn't be more excited that we are T-2 days from Thanksgiving! There is nothing better than family time AND yummy food #AmIRight ?! I've been clean eating for the past 3 1/2 months, so I'm more than ready to get my turkey/mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes/pumpkin pie on! Also, for the first time in my 28 years (did I just reveal my age?!) I'm in charge of dessert for our family meal and the pressure is on! ha. I'm still looking for the perfect pumpkin recipe, so if you have a no-fail favorite let me know :)

One thing I do have all figured out? My outfit! It's pretty much a given that an elastic waistband and oversize sweater are going to come in play for the holiday, and the second helpings, but those two designs don't have to equal frumpy... far from it! Instead they can be chic when they involve this bold striped sweater. I added a sparkly necklace to glam it up a bit, and I'm kind of obsessed with the results! Do you know what you're wearing for Turkey Day yet??

Dressing Room Diaries: Holiday Edition

Happy Monday Friends!! I'm not going to lie, I had a totally different post planned for today, but then wouldn't you know I stopped into the mall and found such great holiday outfit inspirations that I had to post about it today! I was really excited to find some "different" options, so I'm going to walk you through a few styling ideas to try this holiday season...

**EDIT: Everything at Loft is still 40% off today with code "FRIENDS"- that means every piece in this post is on sale!!**

WHY DON'T YOU TRY: LEATHER
This may be my favorite look that I tried because it was so unexpected (especially for me)! As soon as I saw this faux leather skirt I absolutely loved it! It's so edgy and chic, and when I paired it with this pretty ruffled, red top... well "ho ho ho" holiday parties here I come! I would either pair this look with black booties (to really make it edgy) or nude heels to add some classic style. Top runs big & is loose- I'm wearing a small. Skirt runs big- I'm wearing an 8 here but bought in a 6.

What to Wear on Christmas Day!

Happy Christmas Eve y'all!! Can you believe tomorrow is the big day?! I sure can't! Sorry about the unexpected radio silence the last two days, it was a whirlwind to pack and come home on Tuesday and then I've been soaking up quality time with my family since- it's been blissfully stress-free! But I just had to pop in today and share a great outfit idea if you're still trying to figure out what to wear on Christmas day.

In my family Christmas day is a pretty casual affair. My sister and I have a sleepover on Christmas Eve and we always wake up by 5am ready to grab some coffee and open presents! We usually have to wait for "Santa" to finish downstairs... and Dad to wake up! But by 6am we are all up and rearing to go! So, by the time we get dressed and head to my Grandma's house for round 2 later in the day we are tired and in need of cute and comfy looks- like the one I'm sharing today.

Santa's Helper: What to Wear Christmas Shopping

You know what they say... tis the season! With everything we "adults" have going on, it can sometimes be hard to be in the Christmas spirit (the Holiday to-do lists seem endless!) but you know what always gets me in the festivities? Holiday clothes!  There's nothing that brings cheer more than wearing a spirited shirt while shopping for gifts for my loved ones! To jazz the tee up a bit, I added my go-to skirt and boots- super easy and cute and perfect for being Santa's helper for the day!

A Thanksgiving Look with Brooklyn Hat Company

Happy Thanksgiving week y'all! Can't believe this Thursday is the "big day" (or should I say meal?) - this year is just catapulting by! In case you don't have your outfit picked out yet, I shared a few previous ideas here, and today I thought I would show you one more.

You certainly can't go wrong with plaid (ever) but adding a big 'ol floppy hat makes this look so fun! This is my first oversize hat, and I'm completely over the moon for it! It's from Brooklyn Hat Company, and can you believe this is their very first full line? Their vision is to take us back to a time when you "tipped your hat before walking out the door" and I sure think Thanksgiving is the perfect time to bring back that sentiment! So what have you picked out for the big day?! Do tell... :)

What to Wear for Thanksgiving

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away? I sure can't! Last week we talked about dressing your table to get you ready for the big day, so it only seems fitting that this week would talk about dressing yourself! When it comes to Thanksgiving I'm all about comfort, ease, and making room for the inevitable "food baby" that will happen! (I can't be the only one that goes back for seconds with pumpkin pie!) ;)

Thanksgiving Tablescapes

As we've officially entered the Holiday season, I've been hard at work planning Holiday content for y'all because this is the most wonderful (and my favorite) time of the year! So if there is anything you want to see or questions you want me to answer, let me know so I can plan it in! :)

Today I'm excited to kick off the Thanksgiving fun with my favorite Thanksgiving tablescapes. I haven't had the pleasure of hosting T-Giving yet (gotta get a bigger place first!), but it is such a special day to me and I can't wait until the day I am able to host my family! Hopefully these give you some inspiration too:

Festive for the 4th!

Any of my friends can tell you, I love a good color theme! No matter how hard you try you can't get me into a costume (I know, weird, but i hate 'em), but give me a good set of colors to dress in and I am 100% on board! That's one of the reasons I love the 4th of July so much- it incorporates the colors I already adore, red & white & blue, plus I get to celebrate the country I love!

When Tipsy Elves wanted to collaborate on a fun 4th of July look I was so in! If you haven't heard of Tipsy Elves you'll have to take a look at all of their fun holiday apparel. They started with an "ugly christmas sweater" collection and then after a successful experience on Shark Tank expanded to cover all the fun holidays throughout the year!

Tell me: what are you planning to wear this weekend?
