Punchy Pineapples

Dress: c/o Tracy Negoshian || Vest: Old Navy || Booties: Target (old, super similar & under $35) || Apple Watch with this band || Earrings: c/o Lisi Lerch

Happy Monday! What a fun weekend I had around here! Saturday I was lucky enough to co-host the Scout and Molly's first anniversary party and y'all it was a BLAST! There is nothing I love more than getting to meet y'all in person and hug your sweet necks- and how fun it was! Of course I also loved that Sarah and I were able to grab lunch at Bar Taco (do you have one in your area?). I tried the pork belly bowl for the first time and it was amazing!

Sunday I volunteered at church (love my darling one year olds!) and then my aunt & I shot 14 new looks for the blog! Yep, that's a ton of new content headed your way! It was on and off pouring rain most of the day, so we were dashing into storefronts & hiding under awnings while trying to get the perfect shots. It was kind of a crazy day!

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer Zanna Dress (similar style here) || Jacket: Loft || Necklace: c/o Chic Happens || Boots: Target (old, similar) || Apple Watch with this band || Bangle: Kate Spade

Welcome to a happy new week friends! Per usual, I'm on the road again & left for NYC last night for my final market week trip of the year. It's supposed to be only 50 degrees while I'm up there so I'm excited to bundle up and really experience some cold weather! I've got the cutest head wrap picked out to keep my ears warm :) Check out the fun of the week on Instagram- you know I'll be sharing as I go along!

My Favorite Statement Sweaters

Sweater: Halogen || Jeans: Loft || Booties: Vince Camuto || Earrings: c/o Lisi Lerch

Hey y'all! WOW I am so sorry that I ended up taking a week-long hiatus from the blog! I took an amazing trip to Cali (eek I can't wait to share!!) and all the prep + travel meant that the blog needed a bit of a break. But I'm so so so excited to be "back in action" today!

One of the words that I love using to describe my wardrobe is "fun!" It is my steadfast belief that when you are having fun in what you wear, then you convey a happiness that can't be denied! That kind of spirit is pretty infectious to others around you as well :)

That's why I'm loving that so many sweaters this season are what I consider "statement sweaters." From ruffles, to bows, To cold shoulders (and somethings all three!) I'm loving the personality and pizzaz that is on the clothing shelves this season!  When I saw the striped ruffle on today's look I was instantly smitten y'all! Just that little detail takes this look from an everyday navy staple, to something unique and head- turning! White jeans are the perfect base layer to let this look pop!

Gray Days with Marley Lilly

Pullover: c/o Marley Lilly || Jeans: J. Crew Toothpick || Shoes: Nike || Monogram Necklace: Moon and Lola

Yesterday we had our first rainy day in weeks, and seriously it made me dream of staying home and curling up with a BIG cup of coffee and a good book! But alas, I had to head in to work (I had a huge project to present - and thankfully it went great!)

But when there are gray day & I still need to be out and about- I turn to my favorite monogram shop- Marley Lilly! Did you know they Marley Lilly creates their own custom pieces with the cutest monogram detailing? You know I'm smitten over personal touches! As the temperatures continue to drop, I know I will be reaching for this pullover more & more.... because let's just all agree that fall is ALL about the snuggles!

How to Add a Pop of Color to Your Fall Look

Vest: J. Crew Factory (on sale for $44!) // Tee: Gap // Jeans: Loft (similar) // Necklace: J. Crew Factory (super similar) // Flats: c/o Oka-B Mirielle (use code "OKABGIRL16" for 20% off)

Can I get real with y'all for a minute? Sometimes fall and winter start to bum me out! Not because of the actual weather or the season (hello I'm obsessed with Christmas) but it's because of the dark colors everywhere! Fall ushers in a season of neutral colors, and for this bright-obsessed gal that can be a no-go! That's why I'm absolutely loving these Oka-B Mirielle Flats in Fuchsia; they lend such a fun pop of color to an otherwise neutral look and make me so stinkin' happy! Plus, when I wore them an adorable gentleman complimented me on them... now if that doesn't say "winner" than what does?! ;)

Time to Break Out the Blanket Scarves!

Scarf: c/o Marley Lilly // Jeans: Loft (similar) // Sweater: J. Crew Factory (V-neck version here) // Apple Watch // Flats: c/o Oka-B Easton Flat (get 20% off with code "OKABGIRL16")

Happy Monday y'all! Not only was this weekend chock-full of fun times, it was absolutely gorgeous weather here in Florida- dare I say fall has arrived?? YES! With the incoming chill in the air, it only seems appropriate timing to bust out one of my very favorite cold-weather accessories: a plaid blanket scarf! Since I was super-busy running all sorts of last-minute errands for my two trips this week (more on that below!) I opted for my Oka-B Easton Flats to ensure that I didn't get sore feet while I was on the go! Plus, y'all how fun is that cute tassel detail?! I die!

Hello Fall!

Dress: c/o Tobi // Booties: Merona // Necklace: borrowed Danielle Nicole // Ring: borrowed Danielle Nicole (under $15!) // Bangles: Bourbon and Bowties

Well y'all... looks like once again getting up a post on Wednesday was a major fail! This balance thing just doesn't seem to be going that well lately and I'm sorry about that! I love this sweet space of mine so much, but I've been kind of enjoying life to the fullest lately, and that means I don't always get home as early as I should. Late nights at work, Junior League commitments, and a bustling social life are keeping me on my toes! :) BUT... I'm thrilled to be able to post today on the official first day of fall!!

Obviously I'm not the only one sweating to death in these temperatures, but the fashionista in me also wants to participate in fun fall trends- so that's what today's post is all about! For me, a short sleeve shift dress + western booties is the perfect solution. This dress is swingy and breezy- perfect for now- but will be great later in the season with tights. Booties and bare legs again keep the heat-factor at bay for now, but you can add riding boots in later months for added warmth (but who can think about that now)!

PS- If you love this dress as much as I do you can get it for 50% off at Tobi when you sign up for their email list (yep- you read that right!!).

Early Fall Favorites

Florida may still be hot as hades right now, but every once in a while a cool breeze starts to roll in and I ever-so-briefly get a hint of fall! Even though I'm still hanging on to my warm-weather wear (y'all know I adore summer!) even I have to admit that the idea of layers, scarves, booties and hot coffee sounds kind of nice :) So with "fall"  officially a few days away (Sept 23rd to be exact!) I thought we'd kick off the fun with a few of my early season favorites!

Tassels and Chambray

Happy Tuesday y'all! Today's look is seriously a favorite- you can never go wrong with chambray & a bold tassel! I love the simplicity of this look and that is is basically a blank canvas for any accessories you want to add. Today I went for fun pops of color and cheeky accessories, but you could easily add a oversize bib necklace & gold sandals in summer to add some "tropical" to the look and transition from one season to another #toearlytotalksummer ? #warmweatherdreaming

I've mentioned this necklace before, but in case you missed I just have to share again that proceeds from sales of this piece go to the Independence Fund which helps disabled veterans regain mobility. Seriously the best cause and it makes you feel wonderful to wear something that does good for our veterans!

Getting Personal with Marleylilly

It's the eternal southern girl's question... "If it doesn't have your monogram is it really even yours?" ha! But seriously y'all... monograms are my jam and lucky for us all Marleylilly solves any monogramming needs you could possibly have! We all know my love for the puffer vest as well as monograms, so put the two together in one on-trend item and I'm as happy as a witch in a broom factory (anyone else crack up at those Gieco commercials?!)

A Thanksgiving Look with Brooklyn Hat Company

Happy Thanksgiving week y'all! Can't believe this Thursday is the "big day" (or should I say meal?) - this year is just catapulting by! In case you don't have your outfit picked out yet, I shared a few previous ideas here, and today I thought I would show you one more.

You certainly can't go wrong with plaid (ever) but adding a big 'ol floppy hat makes this look so fun! This is my first oversize hat, and I'm completely over the moon for it! It's from Brooklyn Hat Company, and can you believe this is their very first full line? Their vision is to take us back to a time when you "tipped your hat before walking out the door" and I sure think Thanksgiving is the perfect time to bring back that sentiment! So what have you picked out for the big day?! Do tell... :)

Herringbone and Plaid

The biggest bummer about that fact that Florida has decided to be in a perpetual state of summer is that it's kept me from busting out my puffer vests- but not anymore! It's time to let these babies out of hiding! ;) This herringbone vest has to be one of my most reached-for pieces because it's practically a neutral and mixes and matches with everything in my closet! I decided to get real creative today and mix it with this boyfriend plaid pullover- and the result is pretty fun, don't 'ya think?!

What to Wear for Thanksgiving

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away? I sure can't! Last week we talked about dressing your table to get you ready for the big day, so it only seems fitting that this week would talk about dressing yourself! When it comes to Thanksgiving I'm all about comfort, ease, and making room for the inevitable "food baby" that will happen! (I can't be the only one that goes back for seconds with pumpkin pie!) ;)

Plaid and Pearls

There's nothing better for the holiday season than festive plaid! I loved this pattern from  J. Crew Factory so much I couldn't resist getting it in both this popover and the matching skirt (which I will be styling next week)! I styled this shirt super-casually here, in a look perfect for running errands or a quick lunch, but it could easily be dressed up with a festive metallic skirt and party ready in a jiffy! Don't you love versatile pieces?!

An Olivia Pope Cardigan + A WINNER!

Can we all agree that Olivia Pope without a doubt has the best wardrobe on TV? I'm obsessed with her snuggly collection of cardigans so I was stoked to find this one! The instant I saw it I thought, "Olivia would most definitely approve!" Soft, cozy, snuggly, & chic... now all I need is a glass of red wine and a record to dance to (oh, and a Presidential boyfriend ;) )

Old Navy Striped Tunic

How was y'alls Halloween?? I actually ended up with a low-key Halloween night (fine by me since I'm not really a fan) but spent lots of quality time with one of my besties, Katie, who's moving to Houston tomorrow. Although I'm super-bummed to be losing my partner-in-crime, I'm so excited for this next chapter for her! I'll miss you friend!!

Now onto today's look...

Weekends are the perfect time for comfort and colorful accessories, which I definitely indulged in this weekend! I picked up this Old Navy tunic a few weeks ago, and my friends, I never want to take it off- so comfy! Also, you have to love that it is long enough to wear with leggings (I sure do!) Adding a eye-catching graphic scarf was the perfect pattern-mix, and gave the whole look some visual interest.

Leopard and Pumpkins

It's October, which I'm pretty sure in the blogging world means I need to have an obligatory pumpkin patch photoshoot ;) Well the day my Aunt and I set out to find the perfect patch, we were met with the saddest-looking pumpkin patches I've ever seen in my life! What's a blogger to do?! We decided to get creative and shoot on my Aunt's front porch where she had made her own patch of sorts- and I'm pretty pumped with how it all came together! Good inventions come out of necessity right??

Fall's New Print

Happy Tuesday y'all! First things first, thank y'all so much for the love on yesterday's post! I'm so glad you love football (and silly sweaters) as much as I do! If you haven't entered yet, make sure to fill out your entries to win a sweater of your choice!

Now onto today's look... We all know that plaid it "the" print of the fall season, but when Loft released this medallion print all I could think is that it sure gives plaid a run for its money! I love that this bold print is kept almost neutral thanks to the beautiful color combinations (navy + neutral I love you) and with this fun oversize vest- well I just love it!

Fall Romper

I think we all know that I am a huge fan of rompers, but they are not exactly a fall appropriate. Or are they?! :) Recently I found that pairing my new favorite romper with athletic white tennis shoes is a great way to take a warm weather style and make it fall ready. This look is simple, easy, and oh so perfect for these gorgeous days we've been having!
