Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale + Recent Instagram Looks

Happy Happy Monday y'all! I can't help but be extra happy today since it's the Lilly Pulitzer After-Party sale!! If you haven't checked out the sale yet, or aren't sure what to get, I thought I would share a few of my recent favorites with sizing information to help ya' out! I'm not 100% sure what will be in the sale yet (it's usually summer and some early fall with a few "extras" thrown in- but I will try to update today as I have time)! :)

This might be my most favorite dress in recent history- the Linden dress! It is an A-line t-shirt dress so it fits like a dream (and doesn't cling to my curves). For size reference I'm a M and I sized up to a L due to my curvy booty & hips!

6 Tips for Shopping the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale!

Tomorrow is the day all the Lilly Pulitzer girls dream of... The After Party Sale! I don't know about you, but that sure gets my heart racing with excitement!! If you've shopped the sale before, you know it can be a little bit of a mad-house, so I'm sharing my tips to shop it successfully and with the least amount of stress possible :)

I'll Take You to the Candy Shop

I don't know about you, but I can't pass a candy shop without humming 50 Cent lyrics... just me? I'm ok with that! Regardless of your affinity for hip-hop music, I was so excited when we stumbled upon this precious candy shop and the building perfectly matched me out! That doesn't happen that often when you wear colors as bright as these :) 

I just have to take a minute and tell you how ah-mazing this dress is! It is a new style from Lilly Pulitzer called the Linden Dress and it is one of the first t-shirt style dresses that I can actually wear! I have a big booty and serious curves so t-shirt dresses are usually not my best friend, but this one is definitely the exception to the rule! It's actually cut like an a-line and the material is thicker so it doesn't cling- y'all it's seriously the bomb dot com! (When I start pulling out my 90's lingo you know I'm serious ;) )

If this was the 1920's I would be standing on a soapbox on the streetcorner shouting "Lilly News! Lilly News! Get your Lilly News here!" But since it's 2015 I'm going to "shout" through the blog the exciting news that Lilly Pulitzer has finally launched their app!! From what I've seen so far (I downloaded it at a stoplight and have only glanced through quickly!) you should be able to shop straight from the app and their will be exclusive content and first releases only to those who have the app. If you're a super fan then what are you waiting for? Life in Lilly

I think that oftentimes Lilly Pulitzer can be a brand that skews towards special occasions and holidays, but I'm here to show you that Lilly can be an everyday brand too! (And doesn't it make your day more fabulous when your wearing something special?) Today I took one of my favorite skirt silhouettes, the Avery, and dressed it down with a casual tee and sandals. Simple, easy, and still colorful & fun! No matter how you style it, when you wear Lilly you can help but be reminded to live a colorful life :)

Cinco de Mayo & Lilly Pulitzer for Target!

I don't know about you, but I think Cinco de Mayo calls for bright colors and lots of cheer! How else do you get into the celebratory mood?! ;) I think this Lilly for Target dress is the perfect backdrop for all the 5th of May festivities! It's also my dad's birthday today (Happy Birthday!!) so there are some fabulous celebrations to be had all around! Ole!!

Girl's Night Out

I wore this outfit a few weekends ago for a fun girls night out with some of my Junior League gal pals and it was perfect for the cool breezy evening. I love the bright colors (#bigsurprise) and was so excited to carry my new bow clutch! My mom got me this clutch for Christmas (#thanksmamma) and it coordinated perfectly with this look! Don't you just love it when an outfit falls into place? :) What's your favorite GNO look?

Oh Shift!

Y'all I can't resist a good pun, or anything pink & green, so put them both together and you know it was pretty much love at first sight with this sweater! I crack up every year when Lilly's site crashes during their twice yearly sales and you get the inevitable "oh shift! we broke the internet" message- so I love that they embraced the tongue-in-cheek on the front of this sweater! It sure makes winter so much brighter, doncha think?!

Native Lands

I know that I've shared The Mint Julep Boutique with y'all before (and how much I adore them), and before Thanksgiving they offered 50% off the entire site, and this shopaholic couldn't resist that bait! I picked up two aztec cardigans that I'd been stalking in my wish list and I'm excited to share this one with you today! I had to wait to style them until Florida actually got the winter memo, but now that it's chilly I can justify sharing some sweaters ;) This cardigan is actually really thick (like I'm so toasty warm in it y'all!) but it makes for a perfect winter piece to bundle up in!

Also, I'm sorry that you've seen these pants about 10506735928 times- but if I could live in them I would! I even scooped up a second black pair during the After-Party Sale because I was so scared something would happen to my first pair! They are really that good!

The Best Laid Plans...

Do you ever have one of those weekends were you think you are going to accomplish everything… but somehow that just doesn't happen? Yeah… this was one of those weekends! So sorry for the radio silence yesterday, but I'm back and ready to rock and roll! :)

Merry Mermaids

I'm so excited to share with you one of my first After-Party sale purchases! I'm obsessed with my Skipper Pullovers and this Kingsley Crew is the same material, only in a crew neck sweatshirt (hello awesome)! I sized up in this because I like a little extra room when it comes to loungewear- but it is definitely true to size if you are interested in ordering. 

Also, it was not cool outside when taking these pictures, not even in the slightest (hello 98 degree heat index)! But I was so excited to start talking fall transition pieces that I couldn't wait to share it with y'all!  It will most definitely be a go-to piece when the weather starts to cool… but for now it is going to rest in my closet :) ha!

Well Florida sure didn't hesitate to head into summer weather- it's been in the 90's almost every day! But looking at the bright side... that means it's time to bring out your Lilly in full force! (There is always a positive right?!) 

I got this cheerful tunic top for my birthday and I am totally in love. I feel like I look about 8 shades tanner just from putting these bright colors on! ha! I also scooped up these neon Jack Rogers for a steal a few weeks ago when I got in on the Living Social/Last Call NM mega-deal ($20 for Jacks is ah-mazing)! I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot more of these cuties! And hello- this gold clutch is total perfection! Adding a fun accessory like this totally glams up my casual look. It's impossible to have a bad day when you're wearing an outfit this happy!

I absolutely loved the Lilly Pulitzer Spring collection! With her summer collection debuting I thought it would be fun to round up a few of my spring favorites. The bright colors and cheerful patterns are quintessentially Lilly, but there is a sophistication to this collection that makes it highly versatile too. I love that Lilly's accessories add a pop of color to your everyday life, while her bold-patterned clothing draw the right kind of attention to you :) Lilly knows how to make everyday a party!

You Never Forget Your First

As you probably have seen by now, Lilly Pulitzer's spring campaign's tagline is "you never forget your first". I love the nostalgia this question evokes as it brings Lilly lovers back to all the "firsts" they experienced while wearing their Lilly (first loves, first dances, first communions... the list goes on and on!)

Well today I'm sharing a "first" of my Lilly dresses- my first Lilly that was gifted to me! I remember how excited I was when I saw the signature Lilly wrapping and how I squealed with glee when I unwrapped it and saw this lil number inside! I had fallen hard for these sailboats and I was so excited that this dress was going to enter my outfit rotation! What a fun and thoughtful gift that I still cherish all these years later!

Friends I hope that your life is filled with the most wonderful "firsts"- and that you take time to celebrate each of them!
