Southern Summer: Mint Julep Boutique Floral Maxi Dress

Y'all I have been stalking this dress for MONTHS- and every single time it would pop up on someone's site, inevitable it would sell out within the day! I can see why though; the romantic & girly floral pattern is so pretty and the maxi length means you can make it casual or doll it up for a fancier occasion. I also cant wait for fall to add a denim jacket for a great transitional look! When The Mint Julep Boutique reached out to work together and I saw this dress in-stock (finally!) under their new arrivals I knew I had to jump on the chance to share it with y'all! 

I know you've seen me feature several pieces from The Mint Julep before (even my family knows how much I love them- my grandma got me a romper from them for my birthday!) but I thought today would be the perfect time to tell you a little more about them. Tropical Style

As I mentioned on Friday, I'm headed to Key West this weekend with two of my besties and I could not be MORE excited to start sipping margaritas and singing along to the tropical jams! It's actually Songwriter's Festival this weekend & is supposed to be one of the busiest weekends of the year on the island! I'm so excited to hear the talent behind some of today's biggest stars; plus, rumor has it Jimmy Buffet often pops in this weekend (Fun Fact: my dad's a huge parrot head and the first concert my dad took me to was Jimmy Buffet)- no needless to say I would be pumped to see him!

Toasts and Tailgates

Today's post is one I've been straight-up chomping at the bit to share with y'all but I've been waiting for the "perfect" time! Since tonight I'm headed to a Dierks Bentley concert (country at it's best) it seemed pretty fortuitous to share my toasting and tailgating look with you now! :) I love the bright orange and blue colors in this dress (perfect for Gator games!) and that it's got such a loose fit (perfect for eating lots of tailgate treats!) and the fact that it matched my picnic blanket so perfectly is just icing on the cake! :)

I Saw the Sign

I don't mean to sound like a broken record y'all- but I heart The Mint Julep Boutique and this precious cardigan from them! You know I am such a sucker for navy (more than a quarter of my wardrobe is comprised of this shade) and add some coral and green into the mix and I am one happy girl! I knew I could have taken the traditional route in styling this cardi by pairing it with jeans and a tee, but I decided to up my ante by pairing it with my go-to J. Crew Factory skirt and boots. I like to think of this look as elevated weekend-casusal or casual Friday (depending on where you work)!

Native Lands

I know that I've shared The Mint Julep Boutique with y'all before (and how much I adore them), and before Thanksgiving they offered 50% off the entire site, and this shopaholic couldn't resist that bait! I picked up two aztec cardigans that I'd been stalking in my wish list and I'm excited to share this one with you today! I had to wait to style them until Florida actually got the winter memo, but now that it's chilly I can justify sharing some sweaters ;) This cardigan is actually really thick (like I'm so toasty warm in it y'all!) but it makes for a perfect winter piece to bundle up in!

Also, I'm sorry that you've seen these pants about 10506735928 times- but if I could live in them I would! I even scooped up a second black pair during the After-Party Sale because I was so scared something would happen to my first pair! They are really that good!

Thanksgiving Day with the Mint Julep + A Giveaway!

Y'all… hold onto your hats and don't panic, but Thanksgiving is in one week!! EEEKKKK! If you're anything like me you are starting to ponder the most important question of the day: what will I wear?! Purple People Eater

If you've been reading this blog for any length of time, I think you know by know that solids aren't really "my thing"- I'm a girl who has always thrived wearing patterns and prints. But as I am learning in life lately, sometimes simple really is better. I love this Mint Julep Boutique maxi dress- and I scored it for 40% off over Memorial Day weekend! Once I got it all hemmed up (#shortpeopleproblems) it was time to take it for a spin :) It was easy, breezy, and beautiful - the perfect three adjectives for a hot summer day!

If you read my Dallas recap yesterday, then you may have seen this cute lil number peaking at you from behind the big pink lei :) I am absolutely obsessed with this fun look!
