Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving friends!

Aside from Christmas, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year, because it feels like the world just pauses while we stop & give thanks for all the goodness in our lives. I know that for some of y'all this year may have been harder than others or it may have been better than year's past; whatever 2017 has brought your way it is my hope that you have much to be thankful for and many reasons to celebrate today!

Hey y'all, just wanted to pop in for a minute and wish y'all the sweetest and happiest of Thanksgivings! I've always loved today, because it is a moment in which we can all take a step back from the business of our lives and reflect on what we are thankful for. Although I would love to say that daily I think about these things, it often falls by the wayside when "life" gets in the way. But today we get to collectively take a step back and just be- while giving thanks for the blessings big & small in our lives. So I'm wishing you the sweetest of days and hope that you are surrounded by those you love! Happy Thanksgiving y'all! XOXO

What to Wear for Thanksgiving + HUGE Sale News!

Sweater: c/o Romwe // Pants: Lilly Pulitzer (I live in these during the winter!) // Boots: Sam Edelman Penny // Clutch: Old Navy (sold out, love this option) // Apple Watch // Bangles: Bourbon & Bowties // Necklace: Real Collectables (option here too)

Y'all I couldn't be more excited that we are T-2 days from Thanksgiving! There is nothing better than family time AND yummy food #AmIRight ?! I've been clean eating for the past 3 1/2 months, so I'm more than ready to get my turkey/mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes/pumpkin pie on! Also, for the first time in my 28 years (did I just reveal my age?!) I'm in charge of dessert for our family meal and the pressure is on! ha. I'm still looking for the perfect pumpkin recipe, so if you have a no-fail favorite let me know :)

One thing I do have all figured out? My outfit! It's pretty much a given that an elastic waistband and oversize sweater are going to come in play for the holiday, and the second helpings, but those two designs don't have to equal frumpy... far from it! Instead they can be chic when they involve this bold striped sweater. I added a sparkly necklace to glam it up a bit, and I'm kind of obsessed with the results! Do you know what you're wearing for Turkey Day yet??

A Thanksgiving Look with Brooklyn Hat Company

Happy Thanksgiving week y'all! Can't believe this Thursday is the "big day" (or should I say meal?) - this year is just catapulting by! In case you don't have your outfit picked out yet, I shared a few previous ideas here, and today I thought I would show you one more.

You certainly can't go wrong with plaid (ever) but adding a big 'ol floppy hat makes this look so fun! This is my first oversize hat, and I'm completely over the moon for it! It's from Brooklyn Hat Company, and can you believe this is their very first full line? Their vision is to take us back to a time when you "tipped your hat before walking out the door" and I sure think Thanksgiving is the perfect time to bring back that sentiment! So what have you picked out for the big day?! Do tell... :)

What to Wear for Thanksgiving

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away? I sure can't! Last week we talked about dressing your table to get you ready for the big day, so it only seems fitting that this week would talk about dressing yourself! When it comes to Thanksgiving I'm all about comfort, ease, and making room for the inevitable "food baby" that will happen! (I can't be the only one that goes back for seconds with pumpkin pie!) ;)

Thanksgiving Tablescapes

As we've officially entered the Holiday season, I've been hard at work planning Holiday content for y'all because this is the most wonderful (and my favorite) time of the year! So if there is anything you want to see or questions you want me to answer, let me know so I can plan it in! :)

Today I'm excited to kick off the Thanksgiving fun with my favorite Thanksgiving tablescapes. I haven't had the pleasure of hosting T-Giving yet (gotta get a bigger place first!), but it is such a special day to me and I can't wait until the day I am able to host my family! Hopefully these give you some inspiration too:

Reflecting on a Thankful Thanksgiving

We are a few days past Thanksgiving, but after a whirlwind of a long weekend at home with my family I am reflecting on all thank I have to be thankful for.

Family- I cannot begin to describe the love and support that my family has given me this year. After going through a tough breakup, my family dropped everything to help me move into a new apartment and start a new chapter of my life (both an exciting and scary one!) As I begin my blogging adventure, once again my family is stepping up to help me. From taking pictures to helping me organize my thoughts- my family is supporting me every step of the way!

Friends- I have been extremely blessed with the most fabulous group of girlfriends! Each of these lovely ladies is so special and each of their friendships offers me something unique. Since graduating college, once a year we take a break from our busy lives and have a fun get-away weekend. I truly cherish these fun times and wonderful memories with such a wonderful group of ladies!

The Lord- There are not words to describe the gratitude I feel towards our sweet, sweet Lord for the abundance of love and blessings He has poured out on me. He gives me strength in times of weakness, has opened doors I didn't even see, and continues to love me and forgive my flaws and shortcomings.

"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever" (Psalm 107:1)

Friends, as we head into a busy holiday season I encourage you to continue to reflect on all we have to be thankful for. What tops your list?
