Pinch Me

Happy Monday y'all! I hope you had an awesome weekend! Mine was spent doing lots of volunteering- which is definitely a feel good way to spend your weekend :) Saturday I was out at 6 am (eek- so early!) supporting the Guardian Ad-Litem Superhero 5k with the Junior League and Sunday I volunteered at the first St Pete Wine and Food Festival (and then got to taste all the restaurants and wineries afterward)! It was a really fulfilling weekend. I also discovered the most delicious blueberry moscato - and that's a win all by itself in my book ;)

Today's look is one of those that almost made me giddy when I realized I had a perfectly matching scarf and clutch- that's a "pinch me" fashion moment! :) I'd been dying to style this scarf forever, but knew this look needed one more thing to complete it, so when I scored the clutch at the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale it was a match made in heaven!

Summer Party Wear

Is your fridge covered in invitations this season like mine is? Social events, engagement parties, weddings, and baby shows have my magnets working overtime! Since I know many ladies are in the same boat, I thought I would share a dress style that works for any of these occasions with small accessory changes. Since we don't all have unlimited budgets, it's nice to have a dress that can work overtime for your party needs :) I styled this dress how I would wear it for a baby shower, with some easy Palm Beach Sandals, a simple clutch, and my go-to bangles. But adding wedges takes you to an engagement party, and swapping in nude heels and a glitzy gold bangle stack takes you to the wedding day (as long as it's not a black-tie wedding)! This really is the dress that does it all!

Tropical Print Jumpsuit

Alright y'all, are we ready to talk about the #LillyforTarget debacle yet?? I was flying home from LA on Sunday morning, so my sweet sister agreed to shop for me. I sent her a wish list, thinking I'd have my pick of the litter… #ohno. I logged on to Twitter at 10 pm LA time and was able to snag the maxi that was my #1 pick as well as the gold pineapple sandals from the leaked mobile links before Target shut them down. Whew… at least I knew that was taken care of! Mallory got to our local Target at 7am and was still 9th in line! She called me at 8:10 to tell me that the store was sold out but she managed to grab me a jumpsuit and a dress (#yourthebest). However in her words, "those girls were crazy!" Y'all when did a fun lifestyle brand turn into this madhouse?! The angry tweets and hurtful messages? That's not what Lilly is about!

So today I thought it would be fun to go back to the Lilly I know and love, that helps me make every hour a happy hour when I'm wearing it! This jumpsuit is just so fun and comfortable, perfect for a hot summer day! Currently, Lilly doesn't have any jumpsuits available, but as soon as she has a new one online (usually they come out for resort) I will make sure and let y'all know!

Pop!

Happy Monday Friends! I think it's no secret by now that Florida is late to the game with Fall weather (#somethingsneverchange)- so i'm constantly looking for ways to beat the heat and still enjoy some touches of fall fashion. This outfit fits the bill for both of those! This Lilly scarf is going to be a favorite throughout the season; I love the cheery "pop" print and it reminds me that every day is a cause for celebration. And the peplum tee just adds a little extra pizzaz, dontcha think?!

All Tied Up

I love fun little details that elevate a dress from "cute" to "too cute" and the bow on this Tracy Negoshian does just that! While these bright colors are perfect for now, I've already decide I can turn this into a fall look with a turquoise wrap cardigan and riding boots- who says fall has to be toned down?!

The Best Laid Plans...

Do you ever have one of those weekends were you think you are going to accomplish everything… but somehow that just doesn't happen? Yeah… this was one of those weekends! So sorry for the radio silence yesterday, but I'm back and ready to rock and roll! :)

Get Your Shine On

Happy Thursday Friends! I'm so happy tomorrow's Friday and we have a loooong weekend- I sure need one! My family is coming to visit for the weekend and I am so excited to take them around my neck of the woods; we're definitely going to "play tourist"!

What fun plans do y'all have for Labor Day Weekend? Going to hit up the sure-to-be-amazing sales? I wish I could join you but I am going strong on my spending freeze and I refuse to break! ha!

Grab an adult beverage and your jacks and enjoy your weekend friends! :)

Merry Mermaids

I'm so excited to share with you one of my first After-Party sale purchases! I'm obsessed with my Skipper Pullovers and this Kingsley Crew is the same material, only in a crew neck sweatshirt (hello awesome)! I sized up in this because I like a little extra room when it comes to loungewear- but it is definitely true to size if you are interested in ordering.

Also, it was not cool outside when taking these pictures, not even in the slightest (hello 98 degree heat index)! But I was so excited to start talking fall transition pieces that I couldn't wait to share it with y'all!  It will most definitely be a go-to piece when the weather starts to cool… but for now it is going to rest in my closet :) ha!

Essentials

Essentials

I think that it's no secret that I am a quintessential "girly girl" - and love every second of it! So when Alexandra from Man Crates (the ultimate gift site for your man!) asked me what my do or die essentials were I knew that there were several all-girl items I couldn't live without!

Here's what my essentials are:

1

Red Alert: Jack Rogers Sale!

If you are a Jack Rogers fan (and really, who isn't?!) now is the time to buy- several of their bestselling styles are on sale- but the deals end at midnight Cinderella!

Here are my favorite picks:

Palermo Navajo Sandal, $82 (was $118)

Sweet Summer's End

Happy Tuesday y'all! Are we all recovered from the AMAZING Lilly Pulitzer After-Party sale yesterday?! I definitely bought a few more things than I budgeted for… but with deals that fab can you blame me?? :)

The Lilly sale was a definite reminder that summer is winding down (even if the Florida temps aren't), and this easy outfit is perfect for soaking up the last of the sun's rays. I wore this look for a casual date night, but it's also perfect for errands or Sunday brunch. You really can't go wrong in a skirt + patterned tank! How are you soaking up the last of the summer?

Simply

Sometimes I have that terrible female habit of overcomplicating things- reading too much into situations, over thinking decisions, and just plain making things harder. That's why I am thankful that there are dresses like this, that on the most complicated days keep life simple. I am obsessed with this easy shift! I love that you can add the bow, or not, it's all about keeping it simple!

Lilly P Andover Dress

Seriously y'all… is there anything better than a classic Lilly dress?! I just look at this dress and I smile! Whenever I need a bit of cheer I can count on Lilly to come through with sunshine! With pattern this bold I keep my accessories simple- I don't want to compete for attention! (Although these neon sandals were the perfect compliment I think! :) )

Planning for NY: Lady Liberty

As I mentioned earlier this week, my baby sister and I are headed to New York next week to celebrate her Sweet 16! This is on Mallory's "dream list" of places to travel to and I am so excited that the two of us are going to experience it together! We have a packed agenda… and of course seeing Lady Liberty is on the top! I'm already outfit planning and believe a red, white, and blue look is perfect for seeing the Statue of Liberty. I can't wait to share all the pictures from our trip with you!

Casual Cool

Do you every have those days when you totally wish it was casual Friday, but then you remember it's only Wednesday? Well folks today is one of those days! I'm totally craving shorts and my favorite snuggly tee today, but instead I'm putting on my dress and wedges for the office (#realitybites). You can be sure that this weekend this outfit is exactly what I will be living in! What is your go-to casual look?

#tbt : Collegiate Style

BREAKING NEWS... I'm thrilled to be one of the featured three bloggers today for Three-fer Thursday with Perfectly Coutured and White Coat Wardrobe!! Thanks for the love ladies!!

Now back to business :) ...

When I was at the University of Florida (go Gators) there was an unofficial campus uniform. The basic outfit on just about every student was khaki shorts (the more colorful the better) and some southern outfitters brand t-shirt- bonus if you had on Jack Rogers! I found myself more and more wearing this "uniform" the majority of my collegiate experience. And now, 4 years post-grad, this combination is my favorite go-to for casual weekend wear...I guess you can take the girl outta college, but you can't take the college outta the girl!

Wear Pink and Make the Boys Wink

I love all the fun #LillySaid phrases that have been trending as of late- that Lilly Pulitzer sure was a woman of wisdom! This is without a doubt one of the cutest floating around: "Wear pink and make to boys wink!" Well Lilly, you don't have to tell me twice- it's always been my favorite color :)

6

#SummerInLilly

Well Florida sure didn't hesitate to head into summer weather- it's been in the 90's almost every day! But looking at the bright side... that means it's time to bring out your Lilly in full force! (There is always a positive right?!)

I got this cheerful tunic top for my birthday and I am totally in love. I feel like I look about 8 shades tanner just from putting these bright colors on! ha! I also scooped up these neon Jack Rogers for a steal a few weeks ago when I got in on the Living Social/Last Call NM mega-deal ($20 for Jacks is ah-mazing)! I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot more of these cuties! And hello- this gold clutch is total perfection! Adding a fun accessory like this totally glams up my casual look. It's impossible to have a bad day when you're wearing an outfit this happy!

Again and Again

I have an irrational fear of being an outfit repeater- I am always paranoid that someone will call me out for wearing a look more than once in a short period of time (crazy I know). Thus, I'm constantly being asked if something is new because it has been so long since I wore it! But this dress may have helped me to overcome that fear because I cannot stop wearing it! It's no exaggeration that I have worn this dress 4 times in the past 2 weeks! I have never found an article of clothing that I love wearing more- it's insanely comfortable (made out of sweatshirt material) and the vibrant color combination is my absolute favorite. Don't be surprised if I pull it out of my closet again this week!
