Tons of Tassels

Tank: Old Navy (40% off with code "THANKYOU") // Shorts: Loft // Sandals: c/o Oka-B "Cookie" Sandal (20% off with code "OKABGIRL16") // Apple Watch // Necklace: c/o Stella & Dot // Bracelet: Bellezza

The last time I styled these shorts it was still chilly outside, but now the sun (& heat) is out in full force so it's time to break out the most amazing new tank in my closet! Tassels are such a HOT trend this season, so I fell hard as soon as I saw this one! It's already a steal at under $30, and with code "THANKYOU" it's only $15.60! #GetItBeforeItsGone

I couldn't resist "toughening up" the look with my Oka-B "Cookie" sandals. I love the stud detailing- it's a little out of my comfort zone, but was the perfect touch for this outfit + they are so stinking' comfortable I can't resist a chance to wear them! PS- My code "OKABGIRL16" will get you 20% off any purchase! #BargainHunter

I'll Take You to the Candy Shop

I don't know about you, but I can't pass a candy shop without humming 50 Cent lyrics... just me? I'm ok with that! Regardless of your affinity for hip-hop music, I was so excited when we stumbled upon this precious candy shop and the building perfectly matched me out! That doesn't happen that often when you wear colors as bright as these :)

I just have to take a minute and tell you how ah-mazing this dress is! It is a new style from Lilly Pulitzer called the Linden Dress and it is one of the first t-shirt style dresses that I can actually wear! I have a big booty and serious curves so t-shirt dresses are usually not my best friend, but this one is definitely the exception to the rule! It's actually cut like an a-line and the material is thicker so it doesn't cling- y'all it's seriously the bomb dot com! (When I start pulling out my 90's lingo you know I'm serious ;) )

Tassels and Chambray

Happy Tuesday y'all! Today's look is seriously a favorite- you can never go wrong with chambray & a bold tassel! I love the simplicity of this look and that is is basically a blank canvas for any accessories you want to add. Today I went for fun pops of color and cheeky accessories, but you could easily add a oversize bib necklace & gold sandals in summer to add some "tropical" to the look and transition from one season to another #toearlytotalksummer ? #warmweatherdreaming

I've mentioned this necklace before, but in case you missed I just have to share again that proceeds from sales of this piece go to the Independence Fund which helps disabled veterans regain mobility. Seriously the best cause and it makes you feel wonderful to wear something that does good for our veterans!

Tracy Negoshian Kira Top

I've talked about my "uniform" before and this is the fall version of it; an easy blouse, my Lilly Pulitzer travel pants, boots and some fun baubles and I'm ready to run out the door! I probably wear this look far too often (in fact I wore a version yesterday!) but I love it so much I can't help it! Do y'all have any go-to looks?

Herringbone and Plaid

The biggest bummer about that fact that Florida has decided to be in a perpetual state of summer is that it's kept me from busting out my puffer vests- but not anymore! It's time to let these babies out of hiding! ;) This herringbone vest has to be one of my most reached-for pieces because it's practically a neutral and mixes and matches with everything in my closet! I decided to get real creative today and mix it with this boyfriend plaid pullover- and the result is pretty fun, don't 'ya think?!

Plaid and Pearls

There's nothing better for the holiday season than festive plaid! I loved this pattern from  J. Crew Factory so much I couldn't resist getting it in both this popover and the matching skirt (which I will be styling next week)! I styled this shirt super-casually here, in a look perfect for running errands or a quick lunch, but it could easily be dressed up with a festive metallic skirt and party ready in a jiffy! Don't you love versatile pieces?!

Old Navy Striped Tunic

How was y'alls Halloween?? I actually ended up with a low-key Halloween night (fine by me since I'm not really a fan) but spent lots of quality time with one of my besties, Katie, who's moving to Houston tomorrow. Although I'm super-bummed to be losing my partner-in-crime, I'm so excited for this next chapter for her! I'll miss you friend!!

Now onto today's look...

Weekends are the perfect time for comfort and colorful accessories, which I definitely indulged in this weekend! I picked up this Old Navy tunic a few weeks ago, and my friends, I never want to take it off- so comfy! Also, you have to love that it is long enough to wear with leggings (I sure do!) Adding a eye-catching graphic scarf was the perfect pattern-mix, and gave the whole look some visual interest.

Leopard and Pumpkins

It's October, which I'm pretty sure in the blogging world means I need to have an obligatory pumpkin patch photoshoot ;) Well the day my Aunt and I set out to find the perfect patch, we were met with the saddest-looking pumpkin patches I've ever seen in my life! What's a blogger to do?! We decided to get creative and shoot on my Aunt's front porch where she had made her own patch of sorts- and I'm pretty pumped with how it all came together! Good inventions come out of necessity right??

Fall's New Print

Happy Tuesday y'all! First things first, thank y'all so much for the love on yesterday's post! I'm so glad you love football (and silly sweaters) as much as I do! If you haven't entered yet, make sure to fill out your entries to win a sweater of your choice!

Now onto today's look... We all know that plaid it "the" print of the fall season, but when Loft released this medallion print all I could think is that it sure gives plaid a run for its money! I love that this bold print is kept almost neutral thanks to the beautiful color combinations (navy + neutral I love you) and with this fun oversize vest- well I just love it!

Chambray for Days

If there's one piece of clothing every girl needs in her wardrobe, it is most definitely a chambray shirt! I can't tell you how many times this simple little number has saved my wardrobe dilemmas- it's always the perfect finishing touch! Obviously I took these photos before the fall weather set in, but I think this look would be just as fun with a pair of my favorite riding boots to make it seasonal appropriate :)

A Colorful Road to Happiness

In my world, the road to happiness is filled with color- and Lilly Pulitzer is pretty much a roadmap to happiness! #GentrysWordsOfWisdom You may remember that I styled this Sarasota Tunic a few weeks ago for work, so today I decided to style it for play; gotta love versatility! I know the temps are getting cooler by the minute, but I'm still hanging onto the last remnants of the summer sun :) Happy Tuesday!

Fall Romper

I think we all know that I am a huge fan of rompers, but they are not exactly a fall appropriate. Or are they?! :) Recently I found that pairing my new favorite romper with athletic white tennis shoes is a great way to take a warm weather style and make it fall ready. This look is simple, easy, and oh so perfect for these gorgeous days we've been having!

On the Dotted Line

Y'all I'm not going to lie, when I first got this poncho in the mail I was super overwhelmed by it's size - it's a biggie! It took me a few tries to decide how to style it, but I think I got the hang of it and now I'm thrilled with the look! Because the white tunic is also oversized, I tucked it in through the front to help even out my proportions. And if you're thinking about picking up this poncho, I'm 5'4 for reference- so if you're taller it won't be quite so long/big on you! :) How are y'all feeling about the poncho trend- love it? hate it? Tell me what you think (clearly I'm on team "love it" now!)

A Colorful Day at Work

Y'all, workwear might be my new favorite thing (especially when it's this colorful!) We've chatted on here before about the importance of your clothes doing double duty (for work and play) and this dress is the perfect example of that! I wore this dress in NOLA when touring and attending conference; paired with sandals and an oversize tote is was perfect for a casual day! But with streamlined accessories and TB wedges it's perfect for the office. And y'all know I love inserting some color in my workweek!

On a total tangent... who's watching Empire this season?! I wasn't super into the first episode, but now I'm all in again! The music is totally on point and can't wait for it to come out on iTunes so I can add some of these new jams to my running playlist!

Cheerful & Easy Workwear

I don't always like using the work "easy" to describe my outfits, because sometimes I think the word easy gets confused with lazy and that's certainly not what I'm advocating! But I am all about having simple, set formulas that you can grab on a busy morning and know that it will always turn out great. For me, during the workweek, that formula is an Elsa Blouse + Solid Skirt - trust me y'all it works every time! What's your formula for fashion success at the office?

Happiness Is...

I don't know about you, but oftentimes I find that happiness is in the details of life. For me, it's a Saturday morning sleeping in and then snuggling with Buddy and drinking coffee while reading a good book (#bliss). On a daily workweek basis, it's fun jewelry, especially a pretty & blingy statement necklace like this one from Happiness Boutique. Happiness is a new-to-me boutique offering on-trend fashion jewelry + free shipping and a customer rewards program - a winner all around! What little things make you the happiest?

The "Best" Tee

I don't know about you, but I am perpetually on the hunt for the perfect tee. It can't be too heavy, too tight, too short, or too blah. My standards may seem impossible, but that's where the Aerie Best Tee comes in! Y'all it really is the very best! Lightweight, soft, long and just enough interest with a v-neck... it's perfect! :)

And maybe even more important than the tee you're wearing? Well it's your "underthings" (those girls don't hoist themselves you know!) Let me tell you, the right "bare necessities" take your tee from blah to tah-dah! Good thing Aerie has made the best one out there, the Sunnie Pushup, seriously this thing rocks!

Endless Summer with All for Color

This weekend Florida got it's very first taste of fall and y'all it was SO GOOD! I actually walked Buddy without sweating to death and was able to wear sleeves- what a dream! :) I'm not pulling out my sweater collection just yet (it is still Florida after all) but I'm definitely enjoying these last few weeks of "summer" because sure enough a new season is coming! Can I get a whoop whoop?!

Y'all know I'm all about supporting local business emerging designers and philanthropies, so I'm super excited that today's look features several amazing new companies! First off, this darling dress is from the Florida brand, All for Color, and their bright and colorful designs will make you think of your favorite beach vacations anytime you wear them! (Plus, because they are dolls the girls have given me code "AFCSTYLE20" for 20% off your purchase) Next, I'm bananas for these Ikwetta sandals that give back to local artisans with each and every purchase. When you pick up a pair of sandals, you're getting a finely crafted shoe (mine are real leather!) but you also can walk with confidence knowing that you are supporting artisans around the globe! Finally, a sweet Junior League friend of mine has launched her own jewelry line, MarleighGrace, and it's so fun! I've been wearing these tassel bracelets non-stop since receiving them and I don't see that changing anytime soon!
