You Gotta Gypsy Soul to Blame...

Navy Pesant Blouse: Gap (40% off with code "FORYOU") || Sweater Vest: Loft (old, similar here) || Jeans: J. Crew "Toothpick" || Hat: c/o Brooklyn Hat Company || Boots: Sam Edelman "Penny"

I'm having the most inspired week this week y'all! I don't know about you, but there is something about spending time with other creatives, and like-minded women, that fills me up with so many new ideas! Tuesday I chatted with my friend Kat and learned all about her amazing furniture business (which you can shop here) - hearing her journey and success story make me so excited to be chasing my dreams! And last night I had dinner with two local blogger/Insta pals (Thanks for dinner Chelsea and Lauren!) and we started talking about how to support each other and bring local creatives together- seriously fun stuff! It's so nice batting around ideas with ladies who just "get it" - you know? So needless to day I'm back in action today feeling fueled and inspired to get to work!

The Plaid Shirt I've Been Living In

Plaid Top: Gap (same shirt, different colors) || Jeans: Loft || Booties: Vince Camuto (on sale!) || Apple Watch

First of all, I have to thank y'all from the bottom of my heart for your overwhelmingly positive response to yesterday's post! Opening your heart and discussing your insecurities can be a scary, scary thing, but it leads to such great conversations & my love-tank is so full by your support! I will definitely continue to open up more and share my heart this year- so get ready :)

Summer Layers f. Oka-B

Romper: Gap // Jacket: Old Navy (almost exact) // Sandals: c/o Oka B // Sunglasses: Target

Well there is no doubt about it my friends, summer is here! If you're anywhere in the south, then you most definitely don't need this jacket layer, but up north you can definitely use it to keep warm if there is a nighttime chill. One thing the north and south can agree on? Sandals are always the way to tie an outfit together! These Oka-B Cokie sandals are perfect for whatever your summer has in store- from backyard get-togethers to beach nights!

PS- I'm also featured on the Oka-B blog and I would love for you to check it out! :) Remember that you can save 20% off your order with code "OKABGIRL16" !!

Chambray Romper

Romper: Gap // Necklace: old, similar // Crossbody: Kate Spade (very similar) // Sandals: Gap // Apple Watch // Bangle: Kate Spade (similar)

Hey y'all- happy Tuesday & July!! I'm so glad to be back in action today (did you miss me?!) If you keep up with my adventures on Insta and Snapchat (@girlmeetsbow) then you saw that I was on an awesome family vacay to the great state of WI! My grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary (that's right... SIXTY Years!) and the whole family got together to celebrate! It was such a wonderful weekend and so nice to catch up with relatives that I hadn't seen in almost 10 years. Plus, the weather was a total dream - 70 degrees and no humidity! #TakeMeBack I plan on sharing all my pictures soon, but for today a new outfit post is in order!

A Sea of Blue

Dress: Gap (on sale & 40% off!) // Chambray: Loft (almost exact here) // Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne // Apple watch // Tote: Tory Burch York (Leather version here) // Sunglasses: Target // Flats: c/o Oka-B Janey (get 20% off with code "GIRLMEETSBOW16")

When it comes to effortless dressing, it doesn't get more simple than a comfy t-shirt dress and chambray. I'd had the thought that since these two pieces were in the same color family they would look great together, and I love the ease that tying the chambray around my waist brings to the overall look. If you live someplace that gets chilly at night still (lucky you) than having your shirt on hand makes it easy to throw on as an extra layer at night!

And speaking of easy... how about these Oka-B Janey flats?! Let's be honest, there are a lot of flats that are not comfortable at all. But these shoes my friends are an answer to all your problems! I run around my office all day long and these flats have passed my test with flying colors! So it should be no surprise that I tossed them on with this weekend look and was pleased as punch with the outcome :)

Dressing Room Diaries

Happy Friday y'all! Instead of my usual "Currently Obsessing Over" post we're going to so a little something different today- a dressing room diary! I haven't done one of these in forever and last Friday I actually has a bit of free time to peruse the mall (what a luxury!) and try one some pieces to share with y'all!

What you will see here isn't perfectly styled or beautifully lit, it's just an average girl in a dressing room :) I hope that it helps you get a feel for how these items look "in real life" and it will help you in making a decision on whether to add these to your closet :) I'll be giving my real and honest opinions, but if you have any additional questions please feel free to leave them in the comments or email me! I love chatting all things fashion!

Caffeine Please!

I don't know about you, but the older I get the more I am dependent on my caffeine fix! #CaffeinePlease #AllDayEveryDay I have two cups in the morning and sometimes need my afternoon cup too- whoops! At this point I like to consider myself a coffee expert, so I love finding new great coffee shops. Buddy Brew is one of the coolest local shops (they even have a mobile brew bus) and their coffee is so good y'all!

Good as Gold

We started the week talking spring, and now we're going to chat about what to wear when a cold front comes through! (ugh... #notagain)  Now I know I can't complain too much (I do live in sunny Florida after all!) but I still am not pumped for our temps to dip again. So, I've found that resorting to my favorite formula of chambray + excursion vest is an easy win for me.

Spring Transition: LOFT Sailor Shorts + A Spring #OOTD

We've been having the best weather in Florida this past week or two; it starts off in the 50s and gets to mid-70s by the afternoon... it's glorious! However, with that range of temps one has to prepare one's wardrobe so today we're going to chat about spring transitions!

I might be a lot little excited to wear my shorts, but with the cool mornings and nights, I've been adding a long-sleeve tee to ward off the cold. To jazz up this combo and make it more fun, you can add a statement necklace and (monogrammed) clutch for a night out (or girl's afternoon)! This combo has been such a fun one lately and I can't wait for the warm weather to be here to stay!

Sucker for Seersucker

Seersucker is typically a fabric reserved for spring and summer, but I'm all about having some fun and mixing it up- so a winter seersucker vest it is! This one is actually super-warm and very comfy, and throwing it on with a fun skirt makes it appropriate for our Florida weather. For all my northern friends, this would be a great spring transition look too :) I promise y'all... spring is coming!

Casual Valentine's Style

With Valentine's Day around the corner,  I thought it would be fun to share some casual style inspiration. I recently picked up this pink color block poncho and knew it would be perfect for the love-filled holiday around the corner! Unfortunately it sold out in about 5 minutes, but I have shared some adorable options below for y'all :)

Ahoy Mateys!

Happy hump day y'all! I'm super excited about today's outfit and photos because they coincide with  Gasparilla this weekend- which, if you don't know, is a "pirate invasion" in Tampa, Florida. Think Mardi Gras but with pirate ships... so fun, right?! I actually haven't been since college (oy vey those memories...) so I'm super excited to pop-fizz-clink the weekend away while yelling "ahoy matey" and stacking up those beads! Plus, one of my favorite gal pals is coming back into town for the weekend! Best weekend ever!

Cheerful & Easy Workwear

I don't always like using the work "easy" to describe my outfits, because sometimes I think the word easy gets confused with lazy and that's certainly not what I'm advocating! But I am all about having simple, set formulas that you can grab on a busy morning and know that it will always turn out great. For me, during the workweek, that formula is an Elsa Blouse + Solid Skirt - trust me y'all it works every time! What's your formula for fashion success at the office?

Labor Day Weekend Sales!

I hope y'all have been having so much fun this Labor Day Weekend! I'm seriously loving the fact that we still have another day off- it's such a blessing to have some extra time to enjoy the "official" end of summer. One of the most fun parts of holiday weekends is the sales- and I've rounded up some of my favorites for you. So if you haven't shopped them yet- get to it! Now's time time to score some killer deals! (PS- I've alphabetized them for easier reference ;) )

When it Doesn't Work for You

Today I want to talk about a little discussed topic… when trends don't work for you! I picked up this J. Crew button up on super-clearance after seeing it all over the web being worn in the "half-tucked/half-untucked" trend. I loved that slouchy cool look and was pumped to pull it off for myself! But y'all I'm going to be real honest, when I half-tucked my shirt I just looked a fool! I don't know what happened, but somehow on my frame the trend just fizzled out. Boo! But you know what? I loved it on me untucked and fancy-free! So I tell you this to say, that trends are fun for inspiration, but at the end of the day you have to wear what make you look and feel as fabulous as you are! :)

So here is the trend gone wrong! Enjoy these silly pictures :)

Top: J. Crew Side-Stripe Sequin Shirt // Pants: Gap Slim Cropped Pants // Wedges: J. Crew Factory Sylvia Patent Wedge // Watch: Bellezza (similar) // Ring: Victoria Wieck (love) // Clutch: Sophie and Trey (similar)

Happy Thursday friends!

I Like the Way You Work It

Since I spend 40+ hours a week in my office, I thought it was only fitting that I share a work look with you! Although my office is quite fashionable, and one can get away with quite a lot (we are a Fasion HQ after all!) some days I really love keeping it classic. I fell hard for this J. Crew tassel top when I saw it online, and knew it would be perfect to jazz up my workweek look! Speaking of jazz, lately I'm loving adding a Bourbon and Bowties bangle (or two or three) to my wrist to add a little extra personality. Working in a cubicle doesn't have to mean sacrificing your style- how to you spice up your look at the office?

Pattern Mixing: Camo & Stripes

There is nothing I love more than a good case of pattern mixing- and if you're from the south then you know that camo is as much of a neutral as leopard is! :) Today's look is just so fun and comfortable I can't help but adore it. It's perfect for those days when your to-do list is a mile long and you know you'll be running around town all day!

Sorry to keep it short and sweet today, I've been staying up a little to late (and then getting up wayyy to early) working on some projects for Junior League and getting things organized for next year. No sleep + Gentry = a not very wordy girl! I think I'm going to need an IV drip of caffeine to get me through the next few days!

One Christmas Eve

I hope y'all had the merriest Christmas and enjoyed some sweet time with your families and friends! I LOVED being home for a few days and soaking in some precious time with my loved ones. I spent lots of quality time with those that matter most, and my heart is oh-so-happy!

So, in the continuing holiday spirit (and the fact that I'm in denial that Christmas is over) I'm excited to share what I wore for Christmas Eve this year! I am completely in love with this Dolly & George skirt I wore, and I have a fun story about it! I ran into my sweet friend Amy, who I work with, at the Junior League of Tampa's Holiday Market this year. She runs the most adorable custom baby boutique in her spare time and I loved all her designs! I picked up this skirt in a toddler size and half-jokingly said "can you make this in my size?!" Well Amy was up for the challenge (I was her first adult-size skirt) and it turned out perfect!! I can't thank Amy enough for designing this for me, and I hope y'all check out her adorable shop (you'll love it!) :)

Books in My Basket

If there is anything you never  always wanted to know about me, I bet it's what a bookworm I am! Am I right?! ;) Well it is the truth, I absolutely can't get enough of the book section and spend way too much time at the local library and bookstore. And what better place is there to store your books than a big wicker basket?? :) I'm about to start "Shopaholic to the Stars" but would love to hear if you have any great recommendations! Leave your suggestions/favorite books in the comments below!

Currently Obsessing Over... {v. 17}

Well friends, it's been a roller coaster of a week but we've made it to Fri-YAY! I have a holiday party Friday night, Saturday night, and a charity brunch on Sunday so it's going to be a fun and fashionable weekend! :) I hope you have some fun plans too! Now here is what I am currently obsessing over...
