Mellow Yellow

So this weekend Florida got something unexpected- a cold snap! Y'all I had to pile on the jeans/boots/sweaters/blanket scarves to stay warm! I sure wasn't expecting a "brrrr" moment in March!! Thankfully we are quickly warming up again, so I am celebrating in a bright yellow ensemble in hopes that it will coax the sun to stick around! ha! Do you think wearing bright colors makes you warmer, because I'm brighter than the sun?! :)

#LillyforTarget + C.Wonder Store Closing Sale

Well friends, pretty much the biggest news EVER hit the internet last night... Target's newest designer collaboration will be none other than my favorite, Lilly Pulitzer!! (Cue the squealing and "OMG OMG OMG"!!) The line launches April 19th and if my instincts are right, won't last longer than an hour!

Lilly created 250 items for the line & 15 exlusive prints and items will range from $2-$150, covering everything from clothing/shoes/accessories for girls and women to home decor, entertaining, and outdoor decor. Is it just me, or was anyone else having a hot mess of a week? I just couldn't seem to get it together! I was so swamped I didn't even have time to look at my planner and kept double-booking myself… talk about holiday- brain! I really looking forward to a short work-week and lots of Christmas relaxation to get myself back on track!

I'm so excited for today because we are having a jewelry sample sale at work- think rows and rows of jewels for bargain basement prices- it's every girl's dream! Straight-Laced

Happy Monday friends! I hope that you had enjoyable and relaxing weekends! I volunteered at a wonderful local non-profit called "The Kind Mouse" packing backpacks for children that don't eat over the weekends. It was such a rewarding and heartwarming morning! There is seriously no better feeling than giving your time to those who need it most. I also got to celebrate my friend Amy's birthday which was so much fun! :)

Now on to today's look… this dress is the perfect "twofer" piece for your wardrobe! It is lightweight enough to wear on a summer night with sandals, but I can see it pairing perfectly with riding boots for the fall. I'm so sad to say it is sold out (I got it over the summer at C. Wonder in NY) but I linked some very cute and similar options below for you! Or can can stalk it on eBay! :)

The Middleton Pant

One of my favorite trends this year has been printed pants- I'm loving the breezy, lightweight, cheery style that these pants bring to my everyday! One fabulous aspect of this style is that these pants can be dressed up or down. Because I am only 5'4 I had to hem these pants to a length that was wearable with flats, but you could absolutely leave them longer and wear with wedges and a dressier blouse for the office! I really love them as a casual alternative to a maxi dress for a day filled with shopping (which happen to be my favorite days).
