Basic, but Never Boring

At first glance, this romper may seem pretty basic. But upon closer inspection I started to notice all the details that made it unique: the dipped necklace in the front and back, the halter neck that ties in a bow, and a shape that is so perfectly fitted to a woman's curves!  

Y'all know I adore my prints and patterns, but I do think that it is SO important to also have great solids in your wardrobe- because those often become your "go-to" pieces and the base for so many outfits. I mean people will remember your seashell printed dress (yep that's coming soon!) but a navy romper? Switch out your accessories and it's like a whole new outfit!

While Monday might not seem like cause for celebration, I think it's the perfect time to share a party-perfect look! I like to think that if I dress happy it makes the day more fabulous :) ha!

I've always been a fan of a great fit and flare dress. This shape highlights the smallest part of every woman (making you look as tiny as possible)- but the flirty & flouncy hemline makes it perfect for a celebratory occasion! Baby blue isn't a color that I wear that often, but when I saw this shape & the gorgeous lace, I couldn't resist scooping it up! Now to find a party to wear it too... #InviteMe !

Hello Fall!

Well y'all... looks like once again getting up a post on Wednesday was a major fail! This balance thing just doesn't seem to be going that well lately and I'm sorry about that! I love this sweet space of mine so much, but I've been kind of enjoying life to the fullest lately, and that means I don't always get home as early as I should. Late nights at work, Junior League commitments, and a bustling social life are keeping me on my toes! :) BUT... I'm thrilled to be able to post today on the official first day of fall!!

Obviously I'm not the only one sweating to death in these temperatures, but the fashionista in me also wants to participate in fun fall trends- so that's what today's post is all about! For me, a short sleeve shift dress + western booties is the perfect solution. This dress is swingy and breezy- perfect for now- but will be great later in the season with tights. Booties and bare legs again keep the heat-factor at bay for now, but you can add riding boots in later months for added warmth (but who can think about that now)!
