Striped and Monogrammed

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone that today's look contains another monogram, I mean do you expect anything else?! ha! We all know that I love a good stripe, so slap a monogram on top and I am a girl in love! This easy t-shirt dress is the perfect throw-and-go look plus is is just plain comfy y'all!

Carnival

Whenever I wear this dress I feel like I should have a funnel cake in one hand and cotton candy in the other, it reminds me that much of a carnival! Something about those bright stripes & colors just say "ride the merry go round"! ha! 

My mom actually got this dress for me for Christmas from the best local boutique in my hometown, Sophie and Trey. We were out shopping on Black Friday and I spotted this dress & the coordinating clutch and quickly put it on my "Dear Santa" list! Well Santa brought it Christmas morning and I had to wait patiently until Spring to break it out- and now I can't imagine putting it back in my closet! I just love how cheerful it is!

Well friends, it's been a roller coaster of a week but we've made it to Fri-YAY! I have a holiday party Friday night, Saturday night, and a charity brunch on Sunday so it's going to be a fun and fashionable weekend! :) I hope you have some fun plans too! Straight-Laced

Happy Monday friends! I hope that you had enjoyable and relaxing weekends! I volunteered at a wonderful local non-profit called "The Kind Mouse" packing backpacks for children that don't eat over the weekends. It was such a rewarding and heartwarming morning! There is seriously no better feeling than giving your time to those who need it most. I also got to celebrate my friend Amy's birthday which was so much fun! :)

Now on to today's look… this dress is the perfect "twofer" piece for your wardrobe! It is lightweight enough to wear on a summer night with sandals, but I can see it pairing perfectly with riding boots for the fall. I'm so sad to say it is sold out (I got it over the summer at C. Wonder in NY) but I linked some very cute and similar options below for you! Or can can stalk it on eBay! :)

Playing Koi

It ain't a secret what a crush I have on all things nautical- so you can imagine that I about fell over when this pretty lil necklace made its way into my life! Wowza! These three sparkly koi fish gave me three big reasons to smile! 

Since this necklace is such a statement I kept my outfit simple with navy stripes and for one extra punch threw on my adorable bow sandals (thanks mom for the great find)!

J.Crew Floral Skirt

Happy Tuesday Y'all! This sweet J.Crew floral skirt has been making its rounds on the blogsphere lately and I have been totally smitten. Well over Memorial Day weekend I feel into the biggest shopping luck-out of ALL TIME! This beauty was at my local J.Crew store marked down to $20 (you read that right!)- then... it got even better! Not only was this skirt the last one in the store (and in my size), when I checked out it was an additional 40% off sale! That's right folks, this stunner cost me $12.88!!! What is the biggest steal you ever had while shopping??

Springtime Stripes

The minute I laid eyes on this dress my brain shouted "me me me"... and when Old Navy ran a 40% off dresses promo- well it was a no brainer ;) I love the stripes (surprise surprise) and the lightweight, breezy material- It's absolutely perfect for a hot Florida spring!

Pink Stripes for Spring

In an effort to combat the current downpour outside, I'm reminiscing about the fun in the sun from the past weekend. It was simply gorgeous out and bright pink stripes just seemed appropriate!

This dress is that perfect easy-breezy day dress that is perfect for running errands and sipping some cocktails  to cool off. Adding a few simple gold touches completed this bright look! I can't make it through spring without my Jack Rogers... get ready because you are going to see them a whole lot more! :)

Sunshine Ahead

The weather down here in the Sunshine State has been just gorgeous lately; sunny and 75 is not just the name of a fun country song, but also the perfect description of our recent forecast! When the weatherman calls for sunshine, I can't help but break out my sunniest clothing in response! I'm so very ready for the Spring season- my brights are here to stay!

I Want to Ride My Bicycle

For a long time {years} I was terrified to ride a bike. I had a terrible fall on one as a little girl and that scared me senseless. About a year ago I decided to conquer my fear and try riding a bike again. I'm no expert, but I am finally regaining a sense of confidence on a bike. It's been fun to ride around and explore my new city!

Enter The Bicycle Store of St Petersburg- an adorable bike rental shop in downtown St Pete that happens to be run by one awesome and kind woman (thank you Lisa for letting me play in your shop)! Lisa believes that everyone should have a chance to explore our beautiful city on a bike so her business helps our tourists and local clientele rent a bike that is perfect for making memories. I happen to love how many pink choices there are! The shop is also full of fun graphic tees and cute bike-themed outfits that will compliment your rental perfectly.

Stripes + Anchors

Has there ever been any pattern more perfect than a stripe? Don't get me wrong, I love my polka dots, chevrons, and plaid, but nothing speaks to me quite like a classic stripe. I love that this dress has me daydreaming of boat rides and afternoons with my toes dipped in the pool (even though the temps lately had me wishing I was bundled up in flannel)!

To keep with my nautical state-of-mind I added this adorable anchor-patterned scarf from the cutest lil boutique, Mayzie's, in Lakeland, FL - seriously y'all HAVE to check them out if you are in the area! I could spend a fortune in there!
