2018 New Year's Resolutions, Goals, & Word of the Year!

It seems surreal to be chatting today about 2018- I mean, what?! The year's just seem to be flying by faster & faster, and I'm just trying to keep up!

I know not everyone loves New Year's Resolutions & goals, but last year I set some really intentional ones- and I'm proud to say I accomplished all but 2 (and even those I made some great strides!) Setting concrete goals for myself helps to keep me on track and gives me something to strive for. Sharing them through the blog is such a great way to keep me accountable to them & to get more personal with y'all and share a piece of my heart!

So, without further ado, I'm thrilled to share my Personal & Blog Resolutions for 2018 with y'all!

2017: New Year's Resolutions

I don't think I've ever been as excited to share my New Year's resolutions as I am today! 2016 was truly a transformative year for me, and I learned so much about myself, what I want, where I'm going, and what I need to do to get there (and I had some pretty incredible support along the way!). So 2017 is my year to put those learnings into action, and stop being scared of the "what if" and just go for it!

So, without further ado, here are my personal & blog goals for 2017:

New Year's Resolutions!

I'm so excited today to share my New Year's Resolutions with y'all! I didn't make very specific ones last year (you can check them out here) and I have to be honest, it was hard to keep them because there was nothing to quantify. So this year I want to be more intentional with my goals, narrow them down, and have a few to strive to keep. So without further ado here are my 2016 resolutions...

Pop, Fizz, Clink! {Happy New Year + Goals!}

I'm so excited to share my New Year's Goals with y'all today! It's taken me quite some time to nail down exactly what I wanted my goals to be for 2015, but I'm thrilled with what I landed on!

For this year, I decided to focus on less specifics (i.e.: "go to gym three times per week") and more on the "big ideas" of what I wanted my new year to look like. 2014 was a toughie for me, and there were far too many up and down moments, but I just have this thrilling little feeling in my heart that 2015 is going to be something special!!

And friends, I can't thank YOU enough for making this year so special! I've seen Girl Meets Bow grow in ways I never thought it would and it is completely due to your support and positive reactions to my little corner of the web. This has been an incredible journey and I am so thankful for your daily visits and kind words! I can't wait to see where the next year takes us!

So what are y'all doing to ring in the new year?? For the first time in years, I'm getting dolled up and heading out on the town. Bring on the sequins, bring on the sparkle, and bring on the best year yet!

2014: I'm Coming for 'Ya!

Looking back on 2013, I am amazed at all that I have been through, accomplished, loved, lost, and recovered- who knew that 12 little months could change everything?

you are lucky.

2013 was a life changing year, but when I review it all in retrospect I can see how clearly the Lord is shaping me and shaping my future. He has put the most incredible love and support in my life, with friends and family who would do anything for me (and have) and He has worked in my heart every day this year to soften it, mold it, and turn it solely towards Him.

I am facing 2014 with a renewed sense of passion and purpose to live a life of LOVE- because that is what it's all about!

Psalm 27:13-14

I am not the biggest fan of New Year's Resolutions, because as much as I love to plan, life just changes so darn much in a year! What I do believe in, however, is the everlasting goodness of our Father, the love of our families, and the sweet spirit of our friends. I want to remember every day this year that the Lord is faithful, He is good, and His timing trumps mine- every time!

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL TRUTH

Friends, I pray that your 2014 is filled with faith, love, and laughter; I can't wait to share my journey with you along the way!
