Elephant Shorts

V-Neck Tee: Gap (my favorite!) // Shorts: Crown & Ivy (in turquoise and navy here) // Necklace: Kendra Scott // Sandals: Sam Edelman // Apple Watch

I am such a sucker for preppy & feminine details, so when I came across these elephant shorts with a scalloped hem, you know I was all kinds of heart-eyed! These shorts have some serious stretch in them, which makes them perfect for your go-to weekend pair (and eating #allthefood). Since my tee is a little long, I decided to wear it half-tucked with no-fuss sandals and an easy necklace for a look that will take you through all your Saturday activities! Soccer game? Check. Grocery? Check. Seriously... you can tackle it all :)

Girls Night Out (& My Outfit is on Sale!)

J. Crew Factory Peplum Tank (on sale for $44.50) // Loft Striped Riviera Shorts (on sale for $34.99 + Extra 40% off!) // c/o Oka-B "Annabelle" Wedges (get 20% off with code "OKABGIRL16") // Bourbon and Bowties Bangles // Apple Watch // Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace // Old Navy Tassel Clutch

When dressing for a girl's night out, it seems counterintuitive to say, but comfort is k-e-y. If you're out sharing apps and your pants are too tight- no fun. If your shoes are cute but make you want to hobble home- no fun. And when out with your besties FUN is definitely an important thing to be having! Enter this fun shorts look that is as comfortable as it is cute!!

Workweek Chic: Rule Breaker

Elsa Top: Lilly Pulitzer (Same colors here) // Pants: Gap // Necklace: Kendra Scott Rayne // Apple Watch // Wedges: Tory Burch Salley 2 // Tote: Tory Burch York Tote (same bag in leather)

Never one to shy away from color in the workplace, this cheeky Elsa Top (aptly named "Rulebreakers") most definitely adds more fun to my weekly rotation! If you look closely there are all sorts of rules bring broken on this top! ;) Something about wearing these bright colors makes Mondays seem not-so-Mundane and Tuesdays seem no-so-Terrible!

Minty Green Spring Floral Dress

Yes to all the cold-shoulders, please get in my closet! I'm just totally loving this "naked shoulder" trend y'all! The colors in this dress are absolutely perfect for Spring (and just so happen to match my Kendra Scott fabulously!) and have me so excited for all the seasonal activities that it's warm enough to participate in here in Florida (sorry my northern friends!) Have you tried out the cold-shoulder yet?

Gimme the Cold Shoulder

Oh my goodness y'all, if you stopped by last week you know it was almost crickets around here and I am so sorry about that! Work was IN-sane and it barely left me time to eat or sleep... let alone blog! But I worked hard this weekend to get all caught up and am ready to be back in the grind this week :)

So let's chat about this gorgeous dress shall we?! You know I'm cuckoo for coco puffs over cold shoulders this season so #sorrynotsorry you are seeing so many of them over here! There is just something so subtly sexy about them that I love! This dress was actually the first one I bought- so it's to blame for starting my obsession. I jazzed it up here with pretty lace-up heels, but I could easily see it being brunch appropriate with flat sandals and a crossbody too!

Camo Vest & LBD

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday! Sorry for the radio silence yesterday on all fronts, this week has been- in one word: insane. I'm taking my first work trip to New York next week (cue the excitement) but the preparation has me in a tailspin and I've been working non-stop to get all my reports ready. On top of that I had a Junior League board meeting and Buddy has a foot infection... real life is sure glamorous right ;)

I'll Take You to the Candy Shop

I don't know about you, but I can't pass a candy shop without humming 50 Cent lyrics... just me? I'm ok with that! Regardless of your affinity for hip-hop music, I was so excited when we stumbled upon this precious candy shop and the building perfectly matched me out! That doesn't happen that often when you wear colors as bright as these :)

I just have to take a minute and tell you how ah-mazing this dress is! It is a new style from Lilly Pulitzer called the Linden Dress and it is one of the first t-shirt style dresses that I can actually wear! I have a big booty and serious curves so t-shirt dresses are usually not my best friend, but this one is definitely the exception to the rule! It's actually cut like an a-line and the material is thicker so it doesn't cling- y'all it's seriously the bomb dot com! (When I start pulling out my 90's lingo you know I'm serious ;) )

Seeing Spots

This weekend was kind of the best! Some of my best girlfriends and I planned a fun trip to Gainesville to cheer on our Gators at the Homecoming game and we had a totally blast despite the 90 degree temperatures (yes... in November!) Even though it was an ugly win (9-7) I'm still pumped for our boys and we're going to the SEC Championship game- whoop whoop!! Can't wait until December! After a busy Saturday, I headed back to St Pete for our Junior League's "Fall into Fashion" fundraiser- and what a fun time it was!

I'm sure you can feel me when I saw I definitely needed something easy for my Monday! I hopped on the swing sweater trend last year- and i've never hopped off! They are the perfect topper piece and add the perfect natural base to some pretty wild pants :)

A Colorful Day at Work

Y'all, workwear might be my new favorite thing (especially when it's this colorful!) We've chatted on here before about the importance of your clothes doing double duty (for work and play) and this dress is the perfect example of that! I wore this dress in NOLA when touring and attending conference; paired with sandals and an oversize tote is was perfect for a casual day! But with streamlined accessories and TB wedges it's perfect for the office. And y'all know I love inserting some color in my workweek!

On a total tangent... who's watching Empire this season?! I wasn't super into the first episode, but now I'm all in again! The music is totally on point and can't wait for it to come out on iTunes so I can add some of these new jams to my running playlist!

All for Color Fall Collection + GIVEAWAY!

Well friends, today is about to be the best Wednesday ever! Not only am I sharing the sweetest tunic from All for Color (who I first shared here), but it's the first day of FALL (as of 4:21 am!) and I've teamed up with some fabulous blogger babes to give away $250 to All for Color! Even better- two runners up can win  $50!! I'm jumping for joy over here y'all!! {Full details on how to win at the end of this post}

Now onto all the reasons I love this tunic... 1) It's colorful- and we know I'm all about that color! 2) It's long! Way too many tops these days are "hi-lo" and I just don't dig it. I like my tops with length to them (I like to think it hides my hips ;) ) 3) The flattering waist tie helps give you a cute shape. 4) Flats now, boots later- versatility is key!

Tell me, are you ready to #FallForColor?

No Frill, No Fun

I'm so excited to be back in action with a new look for you today! If you don't know, my photographer (my Aunt) and I get together about once a month and shoot all my looks for the next month. But due to some busy schedules on both our ends, we haven't gotten together on almost 6 weeks, so I've been struggling because I ran out of pictures! But I'm happily restocked with some fabulous new styles that I can't wait to share!! I wish I could share them all at once!

I've mentioned the adorable Frill Boutique before so it's pretty fun styling this dress for you! I jazzed it up for date night with wedges and a colorful clutch. It's perfect for those end-of-summer date nights (of which I just had a super fun one! *fingers crossed* for more!)

PS- Are we loving this sparkly headband?! I'm trying to break out of my hair-styling rut by jazzing up my look! I wear it straight every day, so adding this headband gave me a little "something extra" for my date-night look! :)

Scalloped Details

It's always a tiny bit of a bummer sharing Ellen & Ollie dress with y'all because as much as I love them they are no longer available :( (I'm not sure what happened but I think the company went out of business as they sold off all their dresses for $12 this Spring which is when I stocked up!) BUT, I do love to share bright colors and patterns as I hope it inspires you to add a jolt of color into your week!

Palm Print Romper

Romper: Old Navy (on sale for $12!!) // Necklace: Kendra Scott // Watch: Jord Watch

Keeping things pretty simple today, because when you're at the beach who wants to pile on a lot of "stuff"- talk about too hot! This romper is the perfect piece for your next beach vacation, or a Tuesday, or really any day ever that you want to wear it. ;) I love the pop of color that my all time favorite Rayne necklace provides against the green background and adding my lightweight Jord Watch is the perfect neutral touch.

Tonight's the night I lead my first Junior League General Membership Meeting and I'm feeling nervous excited! So if you could send some good vibes my way… this girl would sure appreciate it! I'll try and share some snaps if I have time to take a picture or two! XO

Lou & Grey Fluid Shorts

Since we made it past humpday, I think it's officially time to start dreaming of the weekend! Today I'm sharing one of my go-to weekend looks with you. My weekend wear most definitely involves comfy shorts (these from Lou & Grey are beyond soft y'all) and minimal jewelry. I like ease of use when it comes to my clothes because I'm always running around town and toting lots of "stuff" - so my clothes need to make it easy to do that! What is your go-to weekend look?

Loft Full Bloom Romper

This romper has been "mine" since the minute I saw it in Loft's preview catalogue a month before it was released! I rushed to the store and asked it's release date and on June 1st I hightailed it over to the Loft to make this baby mine (for realz) :) It was worth the hustle- because I'm all heart-eyed emoji over it! It is seriously so versatile! I've already worn it out with wedges and an arm party and today I'm styling it as a casual weekend look. Trust me, this piece is completely worth the drama!

Enjoy the Ride

You know, lately I've been thinking that it's all too easy to get caught up in the negative of the world. It can be easy to get dragged into the muck and let hard experiences get you down. Take this weekend for example, I had a great weekend home celebrating one of my best girls and my awesome dad, but on the way home I found out my debit card number had been stolen and my account was frozen while they investigated the fraud and are sending me a new card. And if this hasn't happened to you, let me just tell y'all it's a colossal pain in the booty!! I do all my banking and bill pays through my debit card online and I'm going to have to update everything- uuggghhh! It would be easy to go into a funk. It would be easy to be a crabby-pants about it. But instead I'm choosing to find the good! I'm relishing in 7-10 days (however long it takes to get my new card to me- ha!) in which I can't shop, so I'm embracing what I have. I'm taking Buddy on extra-long walks & taking myself on extra-long runs. I'm enjoying extra time with friends. And you know what? It feels good! Great even!

I always like to keep in mind one of my favorite quotes, "Life is like riding a bicycle, in order to keep your balance you have to keep moving forward."

So embrace the forward motion y'all (and the crazy) and keep on trucking :)

An Ode to Palazzo Pants...

Palazzo pants, how do I love you? Let me count the ways…

1) You look fabulous while I feel like I'm wearing pajamas in public
2) I can dress you up with wedges or down with sandals
3) No matter how fluffy I'm feeling- you hide it all!
4) You have an elastic waist… and somedays a girl just needs one!

Clearly I wasn't a poetry major y'all! ha! But my love for palazzo pants is real & deep :) Seriously… getcha a pair asap!

Road Trip Time! {Charleston Day 1}

Hey y'all! I am so excited to be back with you today! I am so sorry for the radio silence yesterday, getting back into the swing of things took me a little more time than I anticipated (anyone else feel me on the pain of going back to "real life" after a fab vacation?) On the way to Orlando to meet my best friend Asha for our road trip to Charleston my car stopped being able to turn corners (super safe right?) and on the way home I found out that my power steering had been leaking fluid all over my engine and I was one spark away from going up in a ball of flames! Needless to say I am quite thankful for being safe and getting my car all fixed up (thanks to my family and friends who stepped up to help me- y'all are the best!) but it's cause some a lot of stress!
