Happy Fri-YAY y'all!! I couldn't be more excited that the weekend is here! This week has run me pretty ragged- recovering from all my travel was no joke- and with work kicking my booty I need serious relaxation stat! Tonight I'm going to be celebrating "YOLO Friday" and cheers-ing to the freakin' weekend- how about y'all?

Spring Scallops + Happy Birthday Mom!

This spring weather is becoming too fabulous for words... so I'll keep it simple, "I love it!" :) 

I'm also loving the Riviera shorts collection from the Loft- they fit like a dream (especially with my hippy hips) and they have been coming out with so many fun colors and patterns. The first pair I bought this season was this scalloped pair, and I've been head-over-heels for them since first sight! I love that they are the perfect neutral (black, duh) but the scallop edge gives them a little something "extra" :)

Happy 2 Year Blog-iversary!

Today is a pretty gosh-darn exciting day around these part because I'm celebrating my two year blog-iversary!! It's hard to believe that two short years ago I took the plunge and started Girl Meets Bow- I had no idea what I was in for! But y'all I can honestly say that it has been the most incredible journey and I have learned so much about myself and gained so many new skills (hello shooting pictures in manual and html coding!) 

But, without a doubt the very best part of this journey has been YOU! Getting to know you, my darling readers, has brought so much joy to my everyday! Your kind words, encouragement, and overall cheer bring so many smiles to my face :) I love getting to chat fashion & pop culture with you and that you have as much fun visiting GMB as I do creating it! Y'all really are the bees knees and I hope you know how much I appreciate each and every one of you! From the bottom of my heart thank you for your support and friendship!

Cinco de Mayo & Lilly Pulitzer for Target!

I don't know about you, but I think Cinco de Mayo calls for bright colors and lots of cheer! How else do you get into the celebratory mood?! ;) I think this Lilly for Target dress is the perfect backdrop for all the 5th of May festivities! It's also my dad's birthday today (Happy Birthday!!) so there are some fabulous celebrations to be had all around! Ole!!

Cheers to 27 Years!

Well friends, I can hardly believe it, but today is my 27th birthday! I've got so many emotions running through me today as I get another year closer to 30 "wiser", but mainly I'm just excited to celebrate! 26 was a roller-coaster of a year, and I'm hoping this fresh new year brings a whole lot of joy and happiness :) But for today, it's all about the #popfizzclink !

As I prepare today to walk in the Junior League's fashion show, I am reminded that my beauty is not defined by this world's standards, but by the Master of our universe! It always blows my mind when I think of the sin and guilt that I carry, that sometimes shames me and makes me see myself as less than beautiful, doesn't taint the Lord's view of my beauty. No matter what burdens I carry… He calls me beautiful one. Isn't that the best thing you've ever heard?! What hope the Lord brings me and you!

Also, the happiest of birthdays to my wonderful and beautiful mamma! I love you and hope you have the best day ever!

Happy Birthday Girl Meets Bow!! Y'all I cannot even believe that this little 'ol blog of mine is turning ONE year old! It's hard to believe that what started as an "I wish…" has turned into a creative space that I love and cherish. I cannot thank each of you, my readers, enough for coming each day to visit, for your encouraging words, for the friendships that have blossomed and the joy you have given me! And to my friends and family that have been behind me since the beginning (and were my only readers for awhile) - THANK YOU. Those are two words that mean everything. Each and every one of you makes this possible and gives me a reason to continue to nurture my piece of the web.
