I had the absolute best time in Gainesville this weekend (even though my poor Gators couldn't pull out that "W"); spending time with my sister and my best friend made for the most wonderful of weekends! It's feels like only yesterday I was in college, so now being back & staying with my baby sister (who is now a sophomore) is kind of crazy! She was supposed to stay little forever... why does time fly so fast??

You know that saying, "If you build it they will come?" Well that's kind of what I'm hoping happens with today's post- if I start dressing like I'm going out on dates- maybe it will jump start some dating karma?! #IsThatHowThisWorks ? Whew, y'all the discussion of my dating life is a long whole post in and of itself! ha. So today we'll just chat style :)

One of the things that is so fun about blogging is that it not only introduces you to new brands, but it often brings "old faithfuls" back to the top of your mind! That's exactly what happened to me when Amy reached out and wanted to chat about Stella and Dot's new fall collection. It had been awhile since I'd shopped Stella and Dot, but as soon as I saw all the gorgeous pieces coming out- I knew I'd be shopping them a whole lot more! To me, this luxurious clutch (isn't the embroidery gorgeous??) and the feathers cuff & watch were so unique and eye catching that I thought they would be perfect for date night! (You know that one that I'm not having tonight?! ha.)

As I've hinted at on the blog over the past few weeks, I've been back on the dating scene lately; so I wanted to share some more "date night" inspiration in case you are newly single, a veteran of singleness, or looking to spice up your date night wardrobe with your boo! :) 

I recently wore this romper out for a fun night of Mexican cuisine (my favorite) and it was perfect! I feel like bright colors and Mexican food go hand-in-hand (ha!) so I was totally dressing for the occasion here. I love that this romper is roomy, so there is plenty of room for that extra helping of guac, but "shows a little leg" to keep the sass factor up! ;) Also, in full transparency, it was pouring rain that night so I traded the sky-high wedges for these sandals. Because who wants to break an ankle on their date?! But next time it's sunny you can guarantee that I will be rocking these babies without hesitation!

Date Night Style: Zaful Bell-Sleeve Dress

So there may be something to the theory of "If you build it they will come"... 

I plan out my editorial calendar about a month in advance, so I had always planned on sharing this darling Zaful bell-sleeved dress today & chatting about date-night style (since this girl has made a comeback in the dating world!). Funny enough, I got asked out for a date #3 tonight - so fingers crossed the good karma keeps flowing :) 

Now, let's chat about date-night style shall we? Nailing date-style (especially in the beginning stages of meeting someone) can be some of the hardest occasions to dress for! There's that balance of wanting to be a little "sexy" but not showing too much- y'all feel me right?! This beautiful Zaful dress definitely walks that line in all the right ways :) I love the chic plunging v-neck in the front, balanced out by the sweet bow in the back, so cute! 

This was my first time shopping with Zaful (an overseas wholesale site) and I have to tell y'all I was so pleased with my experience! Shipping was fairly fast (for that distance) and my dress arrived in less than 2 weeks. The quality is great for the price (there's an extra layer of lining in the bottom half so you don't have any peek-a-boo moments) and the fit for this piece is true to size. How to Dress for a First Date

As a girl who is "out there" in the dating pool, I've had my share of prepping for first dates and I know the stress that can come along with trying to pick the perfect outfit. I've been thinking for awhile that it would be nice to share some tips I've picked up and tried-and-true outfits that may help you too if you are also on the hunt for "Mr Right" :) AND, if you've already found your hunk-of-burning-love, then let these looks inspire you for your next date night with your hunny!

A Tracy a Day {Datin'}

Today is the final day of my "A Tracy a Day" series and it's everyone's favorite occasion- date night! Tracy's tongue and cheek dresses are perfect for a date night with that special someone! I like to think that when a wear this dress my date can't help but fall in love with me "hook, line and sinker"- ha!

If I haven't mentioned it before, Tracy's dresses are the most comfortable I have ever worn! I also love that they can be dressed up or down with a change of footwear and accessories. Adding wedges to this dress makes it appropriate for a date (like at my favorite restaurant The Columbia) but swap it out for your Jacks and you have a perfect dress for shopping with your friends!
