Shake Your Pom Pom!

Sweater: Banana Republic || Jeans: Loft || Booties: Vince Camuto (this year's version) || Tassel Earrings: Fab'rik (similar here) || Clutch: Nordstrom (50% off!)

How's your week going friends? Last night I attended "Boutiques and Bubbles" which is a shopping event around St Pete with proceeds supporting the Junior League. It was so fun to catch up with my friends- and pick up a few gifts for some more people on my list! And one of the shops served cocktails in an ornament- it was the cutest ever!

Dressing Room Diaries: Early Spring Favorites

Happy Monday friends!! How was everyone's weekend? I had a fabulous one: co-hosted the sweetest baby shower, girl's night out, church (I'm now approved to start volunteering with the babies and I'm SO excited to start in March!), the sunniest lunch with friends, and the some spring shopping! Yep, it was a busy & great one!

Well, I'm thrilled to share my shopping adventures with you today in a doozy of a new round of Dressing Room Diaries! You know the drill... the lighting is kind of wanky, my hair is sometimes a mess, & un-edited iPhone photos are the name of the game! But, you'll get to see these pieces IRL and get a feel for the fit & sizing. As always if you have any questions let me know!

For reference- I'm a size 6, usually between a Small/Medium size with a small top and curvy bottom half.

Happy Shopping!

Lilly Pulitzer Ophelia Dress- This is one of my favorite style dresses from Lilly as the swingy fit is so flattering on every shape! I size up to a medium for length. Totally obsessed with this darling pineapple print!

Dressing Room Diary

While I was in Chicago this past weekend I was able to get a little shopping in (you know that's my favorite activity!) and found a few gems I'm excited to share with you! It was drizzly all morning- so my hair isn't the best and the lighting is poor in the fitting rooms- but hopefully this gives you a feel for how these pieces fit in "real" life :) Any questions... let me know in the comments below!

Workweek Chic: Magnolia Blouse

Blouse: Banana Republic // Skirt: J. Crew Factory // Flats: Louise et Cie // Clutch: BP (tonal colorways)

Happy Thursday!

I think it's pretty obviously that my getting a blog post up yesterday was an epic fail... sorry y'all! This week is really kicking my booty! I have a big presentation for our executive committee tomorrow so I've been slammed preparing for it, plus I've been getting back in the groove with Junior League (I can't stay away! :) ) so it's been a lot to balance! My 6AM bible study also started back this morning which I am so thankful for! I love starting my Thursday with my sweet friends and great conversations :)

Workweek Chic: Paisley Print (On Major Sale!)

Dress: Banana Republic (on sale + an additional 40% off!) // Heels: Target // Clutch: BP via Nordstrom (just $25!) // Watch: c/o Christian Paul

Say hello to your work wardrobe's new best friend, this vibrant paisley dress! The cut of this dress is conservative enough for any workplace (add a blazer if you work in a more formal office setting), but the bright color says "take me out for drinks after-hours" :) Since this dress has a lot to say, I kept it simple with nude heels (that I can actually make it through the day in!) and a color-blocked clutch for those aforementioned drinks- because tote bags and bars don't mix!

Southern Summer

Dress: Banana Republic (other color way) // Wedges: Banana Republic (old, similar) // Apple Watch

The title of this post is a little ironic, because I took these photos on my trip to Wisconsin, but to me this dress is a quintessential southern summer look! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get this look up quickly enough before the dress sold out, but I have seen it at my local Banana Republic (on major sale) and popping back in on the website- so stay tuned if you love it as much as I do :)

So what makes a dress "southern summer" appropriate? For me, it's all in the ladylike details! From the delicate ruffled "vee", to the fitted bodice, to the flared midi hem- this dress brings me back to the days of grace and simplicity (all things I associate with the south)! And perhaps, most importantly, it's cool enough to handle this intense summer heat! What is your quintessential summer dress?

Workweek Chic: Banana Republic Floral Top

Banana Republic: Sleeveless Floral Top (extra 50% off the sale price!) // Gap: Black Capris // J. Crew Factory: Nude Wedges // Old Navy: Black Tassel Clutch // Apple Watch

Friend, welcome to a brand new week! I'm still working on compiling my weekend pictures from WI so I am excited to instead kick off the week with a brand new work look! Banana Republic has been running an amazing "50% off Sale prices" sale so I've been able to stock up on great work pieces like this floral vee neck blouse. Especially in this intense summer heat, pieces like these allow me to look pulled together and yet are breathable enough that I don't sweat it up before an important meeting! (Trust me, the struggle is real right now!)

Currently Obsessing Over... {v. 75}

Ummm, y'all how are we already 3/4 of the way through June?!?! I don't know about you but this year is FLYING by and I can't hold on tight enough! I always think I'm going to get so much more accomplished in 6 months, and then I look back and see how many New Year's Resolutions I have yet to make a dent in (*cough* read a book a month *cough*). Anyone else feel me?? Luckily we have a weekend coming up (although per usual I will be everywhere but home) and I'm looking forward to some fun! This girl is in need of popping, fizzing, and clinking!

Minnie Mouse

Top: Banana Republic (still a few sizes left + extra 40% off!) // Shorts: Loft // Sandals: Sophie and Trey // Apple Watch // Necklace: Stella and Dot (sold out, similar here)

Today I'm sharing a not-so-usual look for me... black + white! When I found my favorite peplum top was still in stock in my size, I couldn't resist scooping it up in classic white & decided to go timeless by pairing it with these darling black scalloped shorts. All these fun girly details this season keep simple outfits from being boring, and are making me swoon! When I saw this fun polka dot chair, the thought of Minnie Mouse popped into my head, and this outfit will now forever be known as my Minnie look! :) Can take the girl out of Orlando... but can't take the Disney out of the girl (as hard as she tries)!

A little *sale alert* for y'all: everything in Banana Republic's sale section is currently 40% off + an extra 10% off if you have a Banana card with code "BRCARD"- and there are some fabulous finds like my peplum top, this ruffle dress I've been lusting over, and this flirty work number!

Workweek Chic: Embellished Sweatshirt

Sweatshirt: Banana Republic (limited sizing left) // Floral Pants: Banana Republic (on sale!) // Wedges: J. Crew Factory // Apple Watch

**Exciting Edit: Use code "BRTAKE40" to get an additional 40% off your purchase today!**

Happy Monday y'all! What better way to start off a work week than with a brand new "Workweek Chic" look?! I'm head over heels for these floral Sloan pants (they fit like a dream on your curves) and adding this jazzy embellished sweater just makes it FUN to get dressed for the office! And really, when you're headed back to work after the weekend, you have to dress for fun!

This weekend was a fun one, but it was also a lot of learning on the blog front (which I'm so excited about!) I'm really pumped that with all my new-found free time I'm able to devote myself to learning more editing skills & making this sweet lil space not only fun, but also high-quality for y'all! So this weekend I purchased Lightroom and Photoshop so that I can continue to improve the quality of the images you see here. Eek! It's quite the learning curve but I am so excited to "up the ante" and grow this brand that I'm so passionate about!! Any tips?? Let this gal know! (PS- I found this post incredibly helpful in learning editing tips!)

Dressing Room Diaries

Happy Friday y'all! Instead of my usual "Currently Obsessing Over" post we're going to so a little something different today- a dressing room diary! I haven't done one of these in forever and last Friday I actually has a bit of free time to peruse the mall (what a luxury!) and try one some pieces to share with y'all!

What you will see here isn't perfectly styled or beautifully lit, it's just an average girl in a dressing room :) I hope that it helps you get a feel for how these items look "in real life" and it will help you in making a decision on whether to add these to your closet :) I'll be giving my real and honest opinions, but if you have any additional questions please feel free to leave them in the comments or email me! I love chatting all things fashion!

Workweek Chic: Lavender Peplum + iTunes GIVEAWAY!

Peplum Top: Banana Republic (on sale! Runs big, size down) // Pants: Gap (old, these are super similar) // Wedges: J. Crew Factory // Necklace: Jordan Emmitt // Apple Watch

Lately dressing for work has been so much more fun! I don't know if it's the gorgeous Spring weather (oh bright colors I love you so...) or a re-newed career drive that's making me want to up the ante on my look (dress for the job you want, right?) but there are no workweek blues here!

It may also help that lately Banana Republic has been bringing their A-game and I can't get enough! I've raved about this peplum top so much, it's time that I shared it with y'all :) And lucky for you it's now on major sale! In fact... I love it so much I picked it up in white! Fit tip: It does run big, so size down and you'll need to wear a tank top under for work as the back is sheer. Happy work week wearing!

The Obsession Begins... Off the Shoulder

Dress: Xhilaration (under $25! Juniors sizing so I sized up) // Wedges: Banana Republic (favorite option) // Clutch: Old Navy

Hi friends! I'm sorry my blogging has been a little inconsistent this week, with two back to back trips last week I haven't been able to quite catch up (but I'm working on it!)

I have to tell y'all, off the shoulder is my absolute newest obsession! I love that it's subtly sexy and gives a hint of sass- without bearing it all! This dress was a great introduction to the trend (it's under $25!) and it's super easy to style. Throw it on with sandals, wedges, heels and you've got a ready-made outfit perfect for summer! Have you tried his trend?... Thoughts?!

Cornflower Blue Ruffles

Tank: J. Crew Factory (almost sold out, printed version here) // Skirt: Lilly Pulitzer (similar) // Wedges: Banana Republic (favorite option) // Bangles: Bourbon & Bowties

Oh em gee y'all... did you want The Bachelor finale last night?? What the heck!! Even though I thought Lauren B was the frontrunner for the whole season, I was totally #TeamJoJo and my heart broke for her! But........ I am so stinkin' excited that Jojo will be the next Bachelorette!! I think she's going to be awesome (and I would like her to spill her secrets for her banging' bod!). Yay Jojo!! Are y'all pumped too??

Pretty in Pink (& Stripes)

Happy Tuesday y'all! I'm super duper pumped this morning, because even though I had to wake up at 3 AM I'm on my way to New York!! It's just for 48 hours, and it's for work, but I still am super excited to spend time in the Big Apple! The weather is supposed to be pretty gorgeous and I packed workout gear so that I can take an early morning stroll and enjoy being in NYC :) My days are pretty packed while I'm there, but are there any must-eat, must-shop places to go if I have a hot second?

Spring Transition: LOFT Sailor Shorts + A Spring #OOTD

We've been having the best weather in Florida this past week or two; it starts off in the 50s and gets to mid-70s by the afternoon... it's glorious! However, with that range of temps one has to prepare one's wardrobe so today we're going to chat about spring transitions!

I might be a lot little excited to wear my shorts, but with the cool mornings and nights, I've been adding a long-sleeve tee to ward off the cold. To jazz up this combo and make it more fun, you can add a statement necklace and (monogrammed) clutch for a night out (or girl's afternoon)! This combo has been such a fun one lately and I can't wait for the warm weather to be here to stay!

Currently Obsessing Over... {v. 48}

As R. Kelly once said, "It's the freakin' weekend baby I'm about to have me some fun"... but for real y'all I am so ready to have some serious fun this weekend! My girlfriends from work and I have decided to start "YOLO Fridays" and grab drinks at this adorable waterfront bar after work- first one is this week! And then I'm finally going to the Oxford Exchange that I have heard so much about and I can. not. wait!! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be obsessed with it! You know I'll be blowing up Insta with pics ;)

Now on to my weekly obsessions (I'm not going to lie I've picked up some adorable new goodies this week and there are far too many still on my wishlist!)

Banana Republic Finds

When I was at the mall this weekend (just making a simple return... how do I always get side-tracked?!) I couldn't help myself from popping into Banana Republic and I am so glad I did because I was blown away with their new arrivals! I usually think about Banana Republic as very traditional and heavily professional, but y'all that is no longer the case! Every where I looked there was fringe (love!!), mixed materials, cheeky quotes, and beautiful colors! Here are a few of my favorites, that are now sitting in my online cart waiting for me to pull the trigger ;)

Hope y'all have an awesome Monday!! Thanks so much for spending a few minutes of your mornings with me! XO

Happiness Is...

I don't know about you, but oftentimes I find that happiness is in the details of life. For me, it's a Saturday morning sleeping in and then snuggling with Buddy and drinking coffee while reading a good book (#bliss). On a daily workweek basis, it's fun jewelry, especially a pretty & blingy statement necklace like this one from Happiness Boutique. Happiness is a new-to-me boutique offering on-trend fashion jewelry + free shipping and a customer rewards program - a winner all around! What little things make you the happiest?
