The Perfect Getaway Dress

Dress: c/o Britt Ryan (on sale for 50% off!) || Sandals: Palm Beach Sandals || Seashell Purse: Amazon (only $30!) || Apple Watch with this band || Earrings: HSN (almost exact here)

I've come to the conclusion that there are two types of people in the world- over packers and under packers. I'm sure it only takes you about point five seconds to place me squarely in the over-packer camp! ;) Ever since I was a little girl I would stuff my luggage to max capacity & then pout when I couldn't fit my additional purchases in once on vacation (and not much has changed!) ha. However, now that my travel schedule has revved up and I'm gone at least once a month, this jet-setter doesn't have time to deal with all the unpacking that is the byproduct of over-packing!

Luckily, I've found the most darling line that solves ALL your problems (or at least answers, "what do I wear on a tropical vacation?"). Enter, Britt Ryan! Colorful, fun, bright, happy & a little sassy... that both sums up my style & Britt's. The second I opened this palm print dress I knew it was begging to be worn on my girl's trip to Anna Maria (sidetone: how amazing is the house I found which perfectly matched my look!!). Anna Maria is such a colorful island- you can't wear dull clothing! Since I knew I was going to wear this dress it eliminated the need to pack 1001 options in my weekender bag- this dress beat out any other choice!

Rompers on King Street {Charleston Night 3}

Have you ever found a piece of clothing that made you quite literally run across town to purchase the minute you saw it? That's exactly what happened with this romper! When Asha and I were shopping on King Street we stopped into Moon and Lola and the adorable salesgirl was wearing this romper. I fell in love with it on the spot and Asha and I raced across town to pick it up from Belk! (Thanks to Asha for putting up with the antics of her crazy friend! ha!) I just couldn't help myself- it was perfect for our last night out in Charleston!

Speaking of which, we ended our food tour of the city at Eli's Table and once again we had the most amazing dinner; we dined on duck and waffles, shrimp and pancakes, fried green tomatoes & shrimp and grits. It was heavenly and the perfect last hurrah! Then we danced the night away at Prohibition (which I highly recommend for playing the most fabulous variety of music- both Pit Bull and Spice Girls in the same night!)

Road Trip Time! {Charleston Day 1}

Hey y'all! I am so excited to be back with you today! I am so sorry for the radio silence yesterday, getting back into the swing of things took me a little more time than I anticipated (anyone else feel me on the pain of going back to "real life" after a fab vacation?) On the way to Orlando to meet my best friend Asha for our road trip to Charleston my car stopped being able to turn corners (super safe right?) and on the way home I found out that my power steering had been leaking fluid all over my engine and I was one spark away from going up in a ball of flames! Needless to say I am quite thankful for being safe and getting my car all fixed up (thanks to my family and friends who stepped up to help me- y'all are the best!) but it's cause some a lot of stress!

Spring Style with rue21

When I was in college, my girlfriends and I absolutely loved going to Destin, FL for spring breaks and summer getaways. It was an easy 5 hour drive (which flies by when when your with your besties) and every time we went those tripes became some of my favorite memories. We'd lay out on the beach all morning, shop all afternoon, and enjoy fun nights out- the perfect vacations in my book!

You know how stores and sights can conjure up those beloved memories? That's what happens every time I pass a rue21! Theres a great shopping area right across from the beach in Destin, and before we'd hit the beach we'd stop in rue21 to pick up cover-ups, flip flops, and new swimsuits before we hit the sand. It kind of became a ritual for us! So now, every time I see the black and white logo I'm taken back to those carefree days of college with the girls who are my best friends for life!

Today I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorite rue21 looks for hitting the sand, and shopping after (Since it's what we loved to do the most)!
