Happy happy Black Friday friends!! I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed quality time with your friends and family. I always have so much fun each year shopping the major sales on Black Friday through Cyber Monday- and this year the sales are definitely not lacking! In order to help you shop better, I headed to the mall last weekend and tried on a few favorites that I'll be sharing below today!

Dressing Room Diaries: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Edition

Happy Happy Friday friends!!! Why am I so excited about today? Because today is the first day the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public- and I have my first post to share! yippee!! Last weekend Sarah & I headed to the store and couldn't stop laughing as we tried on all the things! One of the things that was most important to me was finding pieces that I didn't have to wait to wear- I mean who wants to wait three months to pull out their new purchases?! Not this girl! #InstantGratification

I can't wait to share what I found with y'all- so grab your coffee and let's hit the dressing room!

Eliza J Floral Bell Sleeve Wrap Dress (Sale- $91.90/Reg Price- $138) - Oh goodness y'all, all the heart-eyes for this one!! This is an absolutely perfect work dress- whether you work in a casual office or a more "gussied-up" one this piece is beyond perfection! Sarah works in a more formal office and me in a more fashion-oriented office and we both scooped this one up! I'm wearing a 6P.

Last Wednesday was not only the first day of summer, but it was also National Wear Your Lilly Day, and Sarah and I celebrated in color by co-hosting a fun event at our favorite local store- the Pink Palm! We were able to meet so many sweet local Lilly lovers & readers (hi friends!!) and just had an absolute ball trying on new arrivals, popping the bubbly and celebrating all things colorful!

I thought it would be fun to give you a peek inside the event as well as some fun "dressing room diary" snapshots! Sarah and I were in stitches all night- you know that is the sign of a great time! :)

Happy happy happy Friday y'all!! I couldn't possible be more excited that the weekend is here- I desperately need the next two days to de-stress from this week :) 

So, what better way to start the weekend than a brand-new round of Dressing Room Diaries?! I stopped by the Loft recently and found some of the sweetest new pieces for Spring and at the end of this post are a few bonus pieces I recently ordered with store credits & such. Lots of goodies to share!

Dressing Room Diary + SALES!

Alright friends, I'm going to give you a warning... today's Dressing Room Diaries is a DOOZY! There are so many cute new arrivals in stores lately that I have a ton to share with you! Grab a big 'ol cup of joe and let's jump right in!

Happy Monday friends!! How was everyone's weekend? I had a fabulous one: co-hosted the sweetest baby shower, girl's night out, church (I'm now approved to start volunteering with the babies and I'm SO excited to start in March!), the sunniest lunch with friends, and the some spring shopping! Yep, it was a busy & great one! 

Well, I'm thrilled to share my shopping adventures with you today in a doozy of a new round of Dressing Room Diaries! You know the drill... the lighting is kind of wanky, my hair is sometimes a mess, & un-edited iPhone photos are the name of the game! But, you'll get to see these pieces IRL and get a feel for the fit & sizing. As always if you have any questions let me know!

Lilly Pulitzer Ophelia Dress- This is one of my favorite style dresses from Lilly as the swingy fit is so flattering on every shape! I size up to a medium for length. Totally obsessed with this darling pineapple print!

Dressing Room Diaries: Holiday Edition

Happy Monday Friends!! I'm not going to lie, I had a totally different post planned for today, but then wouldn't you know I stopped into the mall and found such great holiday outfit inspirations that I had to post about it today! I was really excited to find some "different" options, so I'm going to walk you through a few styling ideas to try this holiday season...

WHY DON'T YOU TRY: LEATHER

This may be my favorite look that I tried because it was so unexpected (especially for me)! As soon as I saw this faux leather skirt I absolutely loved it! It's so edgy and chic, and when I paired it with this pretty ruffled, red top... well "ho ho ho" holiday parties here I come! I would either pair this look with black booties (to really make it edgy) or nude heels to add some classic style. Top runs big & is loose- I'm wearing a small. Skirt runs big- I'm wearing an 8 here but bought in a 6.

Dressing Room Diaries + Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale!

Happy Friday sweet friends! I have SO much to share with you today, so I sure hope you have your coffee in hand because we've got lots to chat about! :)

First up, I have a brand new round of dressing room diaries for y'all! I stopped into Nordstrom, Banana Republic, and Lilly Pulitzer (duh) this weekend and found so many adorable pieces! Fall clothing may be hitting the shelves, but this girl is still ALL about summer! Felicity & Coco Halter Shift Dress (Wearing size Medium Petite)- I absolutely loved this dress! Breezy, swing dresses are so nice for this time of year, but I really liked that it wasn't too baggy (because that can add a few pounds!). I didn't even realize that I had grabbed a petite size when I tried it on, but I thought the length was perfect, so if you are under 5'4 (like me) than you may want to consider the petite sizing! PS- This piece also come in coral and white- don't think I'm not considering it too ;)

Well y'all... SURPRISE! Things may look a little different around here this morning & that's because this little blog went through a huge redesign this weekend! I've been wanting to change things up for awhile, call it getting older, but in all areas of my life I've been craving simplicity & streamlined elements. I was also wanting to add more functional elements to the blog to make it an easier experience for y'all to find anything you want or need and I think this design takes the cake! Gingham Drop Waist Dress ($69.50- get $50 off through Tuesday with code "FLASH")- I shared this darling dress last week during my Summer Sundress round-up and I was excited to try it on in store this weekend, and let me tell 'ya I'm glad I did! This dress runs quite large & long, I'm actually wearing a small petite (I'm normally a medium regular). For extra context, I'm 5'4 & a size 6/8 on bottom :) Once I got the right size on, I absolutely adored this look! I feel ready for a summer picnic!

Happy Friday y'all! Instead of my usual "Currently Obsessing Over" post we're going to so a little something different today- a dressing room diary! I haven't done one of these in forever and last Friday I actually has a bit of free time to peruse the mall (what a luxury!) and try one some pieces to share with y'all!

What you will see here isn't perfectly styled or beautifully lit, it's just an average girl in a dressing room :) I hope that it helps you get a feel for how these items look "in real life" and it will help you in making a decision on whether to add these to your closet :) I'll be giving my real and honest opinions, but if you have any additional questions please feel free to leave them in the comments or email me! Happy Monday friends! I can't believe I'm still playing catch-up from all my travels, so today I thought we could catch up together and I'll share what I've been up to lately! I was so excited to jet off to Houston for my birthday weekend! I've never been and my gal pal Katie moved there about 4 months ago so It was about time I visited. We both got in Friday afternoon and kicked off the weekend with drinks at Julep which had the tastiest craft cocktails! Yummy!

Target Dressing Room Diaries

Just popping in on this sunny Tuesday to share another round of fitting room snaps with you! This past weekend I was able to stop by Target and actually had a few minutes to try on their cute new arrivals (rather than just trying to get some errands done). I've got some great goodies to show you!

Merona Halter Easy Waist Dress ($24.99)- I'm totally loving this violet color- it's such a beautiful shade! This is the easiest material, super comfortable, and perfect for the hot weather ahead! I tried it on in a medium, but it's a little too oversize in the arms, so I'm going to order online in a small (my store was out unfortunately). I totally recommend this dress!

Dressing Room Diary

I've been wanting to do one of these posts for awhile, and I'm excited this weekend that I was able to make it happen! I love seeing candid snapshots of how pieces fit in "real life" - not perfectly styled and snapped with a high-end camera (although that's fun and inspirational!) but the everyday fitting room pics. It helps me imagine how those pieces are going to fit on me! So, here's my first set of fitting room diaries, let me know what you think! I'm happy to do more if you like them! :) 

LOFT Paradise Halter Maxi Dress- This dress most definitely runs big! I don't normally wear petites, but I ended up in a Petite Small in this dress & it's the perfect length (I'm 5'4 for reference). I also wanted to show it to you both belted and unbelted because I think it looks adorable both ways! Y'all, the colors are also gorgeous in real life- so deep and rich!
