Rompers on King Street {Charleston Night 3}

Have you ever found a piece of clothing that made you quite literally run across town to purchase the minute you saw it? That's exactly what happened with this romper! When Asha and I were shopping on King Street we stopped into Moon and Lola and the adorable salesgirl was wearing this romper. I fell in love with it on the spot and Asha and I raced across town to pick it up from Belk! (Thanks to Asha for putting up with the antics of her crazy friend! ha!) I just couldn't help myself- it was perfect for our last night out in Charleston!

Speaking of which, we ended our food tour of the city at Eli's Table and once again we had the most amazing dinner; we dined on duck and waffles, shrimp and pancakes, fried green tomatoes & shrimp and grits. It was heavenly and the perfect last hurrah! Then we danced the night away at Prohibition (which I highly recommend for playing the most fabulous variety of music- both Pit Bull and Spice Girls in the same night!)

LOFT Eyelet LBD {Charleston Day 2}

I'm back at it again this week with a few more of the looks I wore on my girl's weekend in Charleston. For our first full day in the city Asha and I did some serious exploring and decided to cover all of historic, downtown Charleston! We fueled up with brunch at Hominy Grill (amazing, amazing, amazing!) and then we shopped up and down King Street, snapped pictures by Rainbow Row, and visited Waterfront Park. We love exploring! All that walking (20,000 steps!) worked up quite an appetite and we did dinner on Sullivan's Island at Poe's Tavern (best burger I've ever had in my life- try the mexican one if you go!)

Also, I have to tell you that I discovered the most amazing beer on this trip (and that's saying a lot b/c normally I'm a champagne girl) but I got hooked on the Stiegal Radler and had one with each dinner! It's a grapefruit beer and tastes like you're drinking sweet grapefruit juice- YUM! Now I'm on the hunt for it here in Florida!

Tavern & Table {Charleston Night 1}

Today I am super excited to share with you my dinner look from Day 1 of my Charleston girl's weekend! As I mentioned before we left, Asha and I really wanted this to be a no-plan trip. Both of us are extreme planners by nature and have our days scheduled down to the minute, so we were desperate for a break and a chance just to do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted! Since Charleston has such a fabulous food scene though, we knew we would need to make a reservation or two for the top restaurants in Charleston. I'm happy to report that Tavern & Table was SO worth making the "plan"! If you are going to Charleston you must make Tavern & Table a stop on your food tour!! We dined on Pimento Cheese & Bacon Jam (ummm… I'm still dreaming about this!), Brisket Mac n' Cheese, Pulled Pork Flatbread, Lobster Beignets, and S'mores cupcake with Graham Cracker Ice Cream!! It was southern foodie heaven! :)

Road Trip Time! {Charleston Day 1}

Hey y'all! I am so excited to be back with you today! I am so sorry for the radio silence yesterday, getting back into the swing of things took me a little more time than I anticipated (anyone else feel me on the pain of going back to "real life" after a fab vacation?) On the way to Orlando to meet my best friend Asha for our road trip to Charleston my car stopped being able to turn corners (super safe right?) and on the way home I found out that my power steering had been leaking fluid all over my engine and I was one spark away from going up in a ball of flames! Needless to say I am quite thankful for being safe and getting my car all fixed up (thanks to my family and friends who stepped up to help me- y'all are the best!) but it's cause some a lot of stress!
